Does anyone know is there coming LBP 2 demo ? It would be cool

Probably. Why they should publish a demo before game? LBP 2 beta is alrdy out u know? One more reason for no demo before game has been out 2 years.		2010-09-14 14:00:00

The thing is, making a demo takes a lot of work and that's time they could be spent making the game ready for release and all. But I think if there would be a LBP2 demo, it would come sooner than the LBP1 demo would.		2010-09-14 14:04:00

I realise that making a demo for a game takes time. I just think it was odd that a demo was released over a year after the original LBP came out. One of the main reasons for a traditional demo is to advertise the game, but most people would've bought the game anyway.

I don't think a demo with only a few story levels would "show off" the game much anyway. As you said, create mode is the main part of the game and what makes it different.

Demos take a lot of work and time? Sometimes, but not necessarily. A lot of demos (including LBP's) are just little pieces practically copy and pasted from the full game into a downloadable format. Some work? Yes. A lot of work and hassle? Not really. I bet they'll have a demo. 2010-09-14 21:50:00

Like a certain prequel that's almost exactly the same apart from the create which wouldn't be in the demo anyway, and is available to download?

Nah I hate having timers in games they put create mode in but they only put basic materials a couple of movers, DCS ,some powerups and the piston and thing like that from LBP 1		2010-09-15 00:48:00

In theory, yeah. But there's no reason not to have super happy fun time while you're finding bugs, it's not like beta testers do nothing but try to break the game in every way they can. My take on it was that beta testers were supposed to enjoy the game and report any bugs or issues they found with it so that the finished product would be better, not to sit there bored trying to break the game for free.		2010-09-15 14:47:00

Note that while in the beta, your essentially supposed to be working for MM/Sony to find bugs.
