I'll review any level, any level series, and any object from LittleBigPlanet 1, LittleBigPlanet 2, and/or LittleBigPlanet PSP. There might be days where I'm very busy and you'll have to wait a little longer for a review. Please understand. Sometimes I'll add a review just for personal preference. The level or series I personally review can be anything. The actual length of the review and criticism varies with each level. More complex levels might receive more detailed reviews than more basic levels or vice versa. There might be times where I do not go in the order of the Review Board. Sometimes I feel a little adventurous... I am not trying to personally criticize any of your creativity or skill. My reviews are meant to state some low points and high points, and how you could make your level better. The combo enders and use of shield and sword makes players think about how to take out the most amount of sharks. Although I've come to a couple of instances in which I die when I get too close to the water, it just made me realize to continue moving up high. The gundam really has tons of gameplay elements going for it. Design: 9/10 The gundam is excellently created, as well as the small number of islands within it. I like how the sharks are built to crumble when they've perished by the almight sword of the gundam. I personally would have preferred a more tropical blue setting for the level for an easier time on the eyes, but that's really just a nitpick. The character design and intense, un-laggy environment were wonderfully executed. Audio: 5/5 The sounds of the pulses, beams, and swipes of the gundam were wonderful, and the cries of those annoying Shark Survival sharks were devilishly satisfying. Your background music was also a good choice, due to the theme and all. Replay Value: 10/10 I wouldn't be surprised if some people replay this level at least two or three times, mainly because of the inclusion of the both ranking systems (gundam ranking and ending rank) and the prize bubbles. I cannot receive the prize bubbles due to DLC purposes, but I hope many others can. The ranking system is ingenious, and really help ignite the replay count. There's always a good handful of people who want to claim those scoreboards with an SS rank. Originality: 10/10 Gundams and the destruction of survival sharks in a Survival Challenge (pretty ironic, huh?). These killer creations of yours are very original, and they one of them works perfectly in this level. I still don't know how you do these things, but I hope you keep doing them! OVERALL SCORE:9.4/10 (Not an Average) http://i56.tinypic.com/2v0k1ms.jpg LBW6: The Collector's Vacation Island by Richasackboy Date Reviewed: September 15, 2010 Genre: Platformer Story: 8/10 I loved the story, as it kept the many similarities with the regualar story levels in terms of humor and pure fun. The ending was great, and everything leading up to it was appropriate without being too serious. I felt immersed within the level's story. Gameplay: 9/10 The variety of platforming was great. I often see levels with the same jump-tug-and-land gameplay style, and this wasn't one of them. The different environments included different types of platforming, which was great! Design: 9/10 The visual presentation was astounding! The layer-glitch layers were nice additions, and I liked how they weren't being abused. You used the regular seven layers your main sources of eye candy. The movement and lighting of the surroundings were phenomenal as well. However, what really stood out was your use of materials. The materials fit every single part of the level perfectly! I admired your sense of detail and devotion to theme. Audio: 10/10 Every single area of this fantastic level was full of fantastic sounds and music. When I was in a place full of moving gears, I heard clicks, clacks, and clangs. When there was an area of serenity, silent music and few sounds were present. It was really audio magic at work. Originality: 9/10 The story and level design were all incredible. I really had fun escaping The Collector's Island and would do it all over again. This level was pure originality. OVERALL SCORE: 9.1/10 (Not an Average) http://i56.tinypic.com/2v0k1ms.jpg Draconia Cave by ShamgarBlade Date Reviewed: September 6, 2010 Genre: Platformer Story: 7/10 The storyline was unique and I liked how it was a gradual progression from point to point. The actual plant enemies weren't introduced until later and the boss, which did feel a little abrupt in my opinion, was a nice finale for the ending. There weren't wasn't much text, but I feel the level itself told the story a little better. Gameplay: 8/10 Beginning with puzzle platforming, moving to enemy-destroying, and then a fun boss was very nice. The puzzles and enemies were simple and well-made and the boss was very intense. The level did feel like a little quick and easy adventure, but the mechanics of it worked well and were pretty solid. Design: 8/10 The little rays of light and the grass and rust stickers were used very effectively. The rock corner-editing was nice, but I didn't enjoy some of the flat un-edited rocky areas dispersed throughout the level. The boss and enemies were a good quality and made them look very dynamic. Audio: 9/10 The sound objects and music were excellently chosen for the time at hand. I noticed all of the little audio additions you made and they added a nice layer of authenticity to everything. The sounds were fantastic and fitting! Originality: 8/10 Journeying to a dungeon filled with sack-eating plants and a humongous viney beast of a boss is not something you would see or play everyday. Add to the fact that the puzzles were neat and this is a very original level! Thanks for the play! OVERALL SCORE: 8.1/10 (Not an Average) http://i56.tinypic.com/2v0k1ms.jpg Sacks in Arms (series) by aagobert Date Reviewed: September 6, 2010 Genre: Shoot-Em-Up Platformer Story: 2/10 The story had promise for a good war action-adventure. But there was no action, no adventure, and no coherence in any way, just terribly basic platforming and a Paintinator. Gameplay: 2/10 I wasn't even able to complete the second level. The tank thing totally disintegrated under me. At least it may have been possible to finish the level... Design: 1/10 There was absolutely no detail, just one sticker and a couple of materials that take up all three layers and the back thin layer. You had to Pop to get in and out of the truck and the vehicle at the end of the second level looked more like a spotted frog mutant. Audio: 2/10 There was changing background music, but that was about it. A sound or two, but nothing else except a soundless void of bomb sounds and splats. Originality: 2/10 A sad war story this level is. I wasn't able to complete it, and it was a terribly basic level. I know it sounds harsh, but I didn't really enjoy anything. In some parts it was a little funny, though... OVERALL SCORE:1.2/10 (Not an Average) http://i56.tinypic.com/2v0k1ms.jpg Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine by Donal222 Date Reviewed: September 11, 2010 Genre: Paintinator Platformer Gameplay: 7/10 Splatting, sprinting, and sitting pretty much describe this level in terms of gameplay. It wasn't bad at all; in fact, I liked it. The platforming and machines, even though meant to be, weren't very exciting; I would have liked to seen faster and more intense moments in those aspects, but other than that, it was pretty solid. Design: 8/10 I enjoyed the colorful machinery style of the level. The characters and machines you've created involved some nice, delicate corner editing, and the stickers and tidbits you've added throughout were noticeable and appreciated. The only downside I noticed were some extremely basic shapes and corner-editing shown in places like the upper fort-like area and the stretches of machine-only gameplay. It would have been nice to see more inventive corner editing here, but those are pretty much the only low points in terms of design. Audio: 8/10 The background music was wholesome. The sound objects added a lot of audio value and excitement to the level, and I was pleased with the variety of them. The screams of terror from the orcs supplied a little humor and devious content, and that made me devilishly happy. Originality: 9/10 Orcs, blood, and machines: a wonderful conglomeration of dirty funkiness. The level made me feel powerful, devious, and sometimes even a little guilty. This level is original, stylish, and very different. OVERALL SCORE:8.2/10 (Not an Average) http://i56.tinypic.com/2v0k1ms.jpg Secrets of the Sky by Awesomemans "Secrets of the Sky" is a level in which Sackboy must slide and hop abroad the clouds and defeat the Lazor. Gameplay: 6/10 The platforming seemed a little on the safe side. There weren't many creative techniques that were implemented into the level. The sliding was fairly fun, and the lifts were quite nice; but other than that, the gameplay was average. Design: 7/10 The visuals were pretty good in this level. The clouds were corner edited very nicely and your inclusion of lights in some areas really added depth. However, there were areas in your level that seemed quite bare, and I didn't see you use your thin layers to the fullest. Just work on those two things and the level design would be great. Audio: 6/10 The background music was pleasant. I liked how the level started out quieter and gradually became louder. On the contrary, I didn't notice any sound effects. Having a lot of eerie wind and wood creaking could greatly improve the level's atmosphere. Originality: 7/10 Overall, this is a pretty run-of-the-mill sky level. The cool lifts, fast slides, hilarious boss and airborne madness add some originality points, but do not set it far from the rest. It's all up to you to make it unique in its own way. Replay Value: 3/5 The flowery bubbles are nice for the high-score hunters out there, and you've placed them in some well-concealed places. I would suggest adding some prizes where those hidden bubbles are, and maybe some players will flock back for more. OVERALL SCORE: 6.7/10 (Not an Average) Awesomemans has made a level where the sky is literally the limit, but there has to be no limit to exceed the other standard sky levels out there. Only then will the Secrets of the Sky be a truly excellent creation. http://i56.tinypic.com/2v0k1ms.jpg All Dressed Up by iGotFancyPants "All Dressed Up" is a funny level that has some seriously well-done platforming in a place that's supposed to be "Halloween-themed." Gameplay: 7/10 This level has some standard platforming that pretty much stays in its realm throughout the level. There were areas that required some precise timing, and I admired that. The puzzles, although simple, also used some precise platforming techniques to solve them. I felt let down at the end, however; it felt like the level was rushed. The ghost hazards were overly generic and unexciting. All in all, the gameplay was simple but good. Design: 8/10 What really stood out to me in this level was the lighting. I believe that the colors you chose on certain parts really made the level shine (no pun intended). The orange and purple before the darkness and the prevailing red in the caves further enhanced the design and joy of the platforming areas. The lightning and fog at the beginning was also a huge plus. Despite the beauty in the beginning in the middle of the level, the ending didn't quite stack up. The design tapered off just like the gameplay, but it was still great work overall. Audio: 9/10 The audio in this level was fantastic. Rocks rumbles, wooden platforms creeked, and characters blabbed. The variation of background music was consistent with the current obstacle or theme as well. All the notes and sounds were in the right places. Originality: 7/10 The humor really stands out in this level. The jokes really contrast with the looming danger that was set at the beginning. It is a true, fun, and original experience that anyone can enjoy. Replay Value: 3/5 There were periodic prize bubbles in far-reach places and a couple of prize bubble chains here and there, but other than that, there's not much incentive for a replay. Hidden areas and a multiplayer section might make for some good replay fun. OVERALL SCORE: 7.7/10 (Not an Average) iGotFancyPants has a pretty good sense of humor that is shown throughout his level. Without a deadline and more time for polish, I'm sure the humor and the rest of the whole package will be here soon enough. http://i56.tinypic.com/2v0k1ms.jpg The Factory: Movement by PhireballMS "The Factory: Movement" will have Sackboy exploring an abandoned, rickety, rusty factory and collecting those elusive little bubbles. Gameplay: 8/10 The platforming in this level is pretty solid. While not exploring too many unique concepts, the floating debris was a nice little addition. However, the platforming was varied throughout the level and, whether it was swinging, jumping, or running, I was doing something different than before, which is always good. Design: 8/10 The whole factory theme is highly prevalent through the level. There are fences, rusty metal, and rickety things to swing on. I enjoyed the colored lamps that hung on the ceiling and the electrified and colored bubbles. They added some colorful life into the rusty factory. Audio: 9/10 One word that describes this factory: loud! And I'm sure glad that it was loud. I loved the pounding metal, the screeching sound effects, and every other hard and metallic object that was banging on something. It made me become more immersed within the level, and that's always a great thing to do. Originality: 6/10 There are many excellent factory levels on LittleBigPlanet, and I personally don't think this level isn't original enough to stand separate from the rest. I don't know what kind of advice to give you except add something different and personal that embodies your own unique creativity. Maybe then your creation can be all on its own level. Replay Value: 3/5 The yellow-lighted hidden areas are a nice way to add a little of replay value for players to reach one of the high scores. And the bubbles are set up in ways to tally up combos, so any challenge-seeker would love that. Other than that, there's not much going the level to replay it. Hidden sticker switches and a couple of prize bubbles might change that, however. OVERALL SCORE: 8.0/10 (Not an Average) PhireballMS has created a very solid, above average level that just can't seem to differ itself from the rest. Words like individual creativity and flair come to mind, and with them, a truly original factory level will be created. http://i56.tinypic.com/2v0k1ms.jpg Swimmin' With The Fishies by DRLONG "Swimmin' With The Fishies" is a creative oceanic adventure in which you ride on your sea creature to victory. Gameplay: 9/10 I had a really fun time playing this level. I actually played it three times, once for each sea creature, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I appreciated the scoreboard display at the beginning, as all levels where the high score is important should have it displayed when the level is starting. Furthermore, the boss escape at the end was an adrenaline rush, from smooth and serene to tense and exciting. The only little nitpick I have is that the first time I played this level I was getting stuck a lot; but I decided to blame that on myself, as I'm sure others wouldn't have the same problem. Very, very good gameplay. Design: 9/10 As soon as I entered the level, I knew it was going to be a good one. I admired the movement of the characters and the objects all throughout the level. It felt as if the entire level was alive, which is always nice to see. All of the sea animals were top-notch and you used your layers and decorations very effectively. Audio: 5/5 The Pirates of the Caribbean Pack really added some musical depth to this sea adventure. You were also intelligent in your sound object choices, putting them where they were needed to be and never in spots they aren't needed. The audio was clean and efficient. Originality: 9/10 Usually you would only see something like this in another type of game. But you're ability to recreate a fluid (no pun intended) underwater race with boost pads and all is admirable. Add to the fact that you have unique characters and three different types of sea creatures, and essentially three different races, just makes it better. Replay Value: 8/10 What more could you want in an underwater racer? Well, maybe some prize bubbles here and there could help just for that added replay benefit, but this level still has a lot of replay value, regardless of any changes. OVERALL SCORE: 9.1/10 (Not an Average) DRLONG has created a purely fun underwater racers which tests your sea-taming skills and your time management as you glide through, above, and below different obstacles in a tangle of sea life. Give this level at least one go, as I'm sure afterwards you would want to play it again. http://i56.tinypic.com/2v0k1ms.jpg Color Gardens by Shhabbazz "Color Gardens" is a funky, fresh, and colorful world of that has you jumping from floating platform to floating platform, with a story to guide you along the way. Story: 7/10 The story so far seems pretty interesting, and it was told well during the level. I liked the humorous robot character, the in-the-monster-mouth plot twist, and the little teaser near the end of the level. It's a great starting point and I can't wait to see how it will evolve. Gameplay: 7/10 There wasn't anything inventive or interesting about the gameplay, but I feel you implemented it well with the theme. I felt it was a little on the short side, but I the level was a good experience. The only slight problem I had was that the flashlight near the beginning got stuck, and I had to restart the level. Other than that, good work! Design: 8/10 I'm a sucker for new and creative art styles, and this level might be one of them. I loved the colors and the lighting. The introduction was really nice, too. I liked how smooth and quick it was. I would have liked to see you use some colorful stickers in the level, but that's just a minor nitpick. Audio: 7/10 First of all, I want to say that the background music was an excellent choice for the level. I feel it embodied it perfectly. More sound objects wouldn't have been too bad, but in the end, the background music could probably make up for it. Originality: 8/10 A level that is about a funky and abstract garden of color feels very unique in my opinion. There are a lot of points-collecting, colorful world levels, but this level feels more original with its underlying story. Replay Value: 3/5 Goodies and bubbles always keep players coming, and I'm happy that there are some to collect in this level. Maybe a couple of secrets could keep them coming back for even more gameplay... OVERALL SCORE: 7.4/10 (Not an Average) Shhabbazz is a creator who is pretty good at thinking of an idea and rolling with it. However, a little more gameplay creativity will make the Color Gardens a floral masterpiece. http://i56.tinypic.com/2v0k1ms.jpg Cemetery Drive by AbstractSam Cemetery Drive is a dark and mysterious puzzle platformer that will have you try to save the cemetery from a queen's curse. Story: 4/10 I see what you were trying to go for in the story: an adventure in trying to lift the curse from the cemetery; however, with such a potentially great storyline, there was only one character that actually said anything. I would have loved to see the cursed queen rise from her grave in a dramatic boss fight or something, or just get more involved in the story with more characters like the skeleton man. I did not have either experience. Gameplay: 6/10 The gameplay was very generic but quite fair in most occasions. There were times I felt I wasn't doing anything but running. My biggest complaint would probably have to be the backtracking. I would have liked to see the level change a little bit or maybe see some different effects the second go-around. I felt the backtracking was there just to add a few minutes to the level. Design: 6/10 There were two very prevalent positivies in your level: the corner editing and the lighting. I enjoyed the rocky formations and the global controls involved. On the other hand, there were many cases where parts of your level just seemed out-of-place. Seemingly random areas like the spring-loaded rock, the basic sponge grabs, and the uneventful glitch layer background elements all detered from the overall design. There were also long stretches of thin rock, rock hanging on strings, and the story-mode object trees that were a letdown. Just be more mindful of the atmosphere and all of these design elements would improve. Audio: 6/10 You had the right choice of music and some complimentary sound objects sprinkled here and there. It would have been nice for the music to start quieter at the beginning or maybe even completely silent to coincide with the cemetery atmosphere. Also, to hear more sound effects on certain objects like the trees and the bridges would have been a huge plus. You mostly let the background music set the tone, but sound effects could go a long way. Originality: 7/10 Like I said earlier, the story you were going after is a good one. It's not everyday someone comes up with a fitting story for a dark, bloody, cold, and cursed cemetery atmosphere. Just work on the plot a little more and squeeze some creativity out of it. Replay Value: 2/5 I believe if everything above improves, your level's replay value would sky-rocket. Add a couple of more hidden areas of bubbles and some goodies and people will come back for more. OVERALL SCORE: 5.5/10 (Not an Average) AbstractSam was adventurous enough to take an inventive story and put it in one LittleBigPlanet level. However, some design quirks and lack of an evolving plot made me feel lost in a grave world. More focus and attention to detail will set this level on par with other excellent creations. http://i56.tinypic.com/2v0k1ms.jpg N/A - The current levels on the waiting-to-post list will be the first to make up these reviews http://i56.tinypic.com/2v0k1ms.jpg http://i53.tinypic.com/2efq7pi.jpg PS3 OBJECTS http://i56.tinypic.com/2v0k1ms.jpg (All reviews of PS3 objects will be posted here, until it is old enough to be moved to the Archives) N/A - Get to Submitting! http://i56.tinypic.com/2v0k1ms.jpg Now that you've finished the PS3 CRAFTWORLD, go to the PSP IMAGISPHERE | 2010-09-12 19:51:00 Author: Night Angel Posts: 1214 |

Alright cool! Seems more organized than the last one. Yeah, that's why I created it. I didn't like the last one's format too much, It seemed like it would be confusing to newcomers. This one is a lot better than your first! Great job Thanks! I hope people have an easier time understanding this one! System: PS3 Type of Level: Story Series Name: "The Dream Catcher", "Dream Catcher II - Shadow Realm" PSN: CYMBOL Additional Comments: "Dream Catcher II - Shadow Realm" will be published Sep 14th in the evening. Thank you very much. I'm guessing you would like me to review both levels as one? In other words, both levels as one review? This Review thread is epic! Nice work NA! You know it! Hope the reviews will be as epic as the formatting for the post =O Of course! This is SEERIUS BIZNISS! | 2010-09-14 00:30:00 Author: Night Angel Posts: 1214 |
Hello, Sorry I didn't respond sooner - most of my spare time has been spent trying to fix my new level. Seems it glitched. All of a sudden, elastic bands are stiff - and when I delete them and replace them - they are gone in play mode, etc. So, I'm currently trying to "un" glitch it. Grrrr! But sure, I suppose it would help your assessment of The Dream Catcher II, since it is a story level to play it/review it as a series (there are only 2 levels. Part II is the one I'm about to release). I try to keep the story fairly tight and relative to the gameplay/environment. The Dream Catcher story was basically born to create a really creative/abstract level. It's help to explain some of the surreal images, but you could easily not read the story and play the game just fine. I'll post back here once the level is ungltiched and published - hoping to have it done by Friday evening. Thank you, | 2010-09-16 15:14:00 Author: CYMBOL Posts: 1230 |

Haha, its funny that you couldn't complete my level. Can I ask why? I believe it was the part with the logs and the hazardous water. I kept trying to jump one of the gaps to get across but never could make it. When should we expect the reviews to be up? I'm thinking about posting them tonight, even though they're not all finished. Only some of them will have pictures. Would you guys like that? | 2010-09-19 01:37:00 Author: Night Angel Posts: 1214 |

Nice review thread NA! With the implementation of level links in LBP2 you could have a hub level with rooms that are the sections in the op's, for example; you could have a starred creations room and a hearted creations room. You could actually create a "Night Angels Temple of Reviews" xD I haven't got a level for you to review yet. I just thought I'd drop in that idea if you haven't already thought of it | 2010-09-19 18:35:00 Author: olit123 Posts: 1341 |
