Hey Ham salad, I played your level, and here's what I think. First off let me say I've never been a fan of the bomb survivals. Your level is similar to the bomb survivals I've played in the past, but you've spruced it up with a theme, and some secrets. I love the idea of the barn yard theme. It's wonky, and funny and you pull it off well. I think you've done well in your visuals, and presentation. I also like the fact that you put in the secrets. My only problem is, is that like all the bomb survivals I've played it is possible to die very randomly. It makes me feel like I have no control over my little sacks fate. Therefore I lose interest rather quickly. I take my hat off to you putting a different spin on it though.2010-09-13 00:43:00

Hey thanks for your feedback earlier on my level.

Anyway, I too kind of git tired of bomb survivals, especially mine, I worked so hard on it and it flopped badly XD But your level was neat, I did like the fact that it had a plot rather then the whole bombs fall from the sky for no reason. I liked the visuals and the bit of change on some of the bombs. Overall, one of the better bomb survivals I've played in a while. Gratz on being different, I quite enjoyed it. Hopefully yours gets more attention then one of those clone hotel bomb survival levels. Best of luck on the success of your level. oh and with your bombs, did use emitters or did you just put a bunch of impact bombs in the pigs?

I know what you mean, there are a lot of bomb survivals out right now; that' s why I tried to be different at least. I have a timer and bombs inside the animals, although I thought about using emitters. What would you recommend?2010-09-13 05:09:00

OK posted feedback, but it timed out because I was doing too much other stuff at once. Played the level, and I have not played a bomb survival game in a while. Noticed a light that fell to the ground at the start, but had no use. Liked the little intro, and the farm level of what I could see, but as I jumped to the cylo the cut scene kicked in, and I got killed during it, so I had to start over, I managed to make it up cylo, but could not find anything past that point to get too. The clods raining points is always a good touch, but wished they moves a bit and were a little less chunky. I was never able to see your level, because it was destroyed too fast, and the cow gas would kill me even though I could not see it in all the destruction. The animal display was good, and the build up, but if you could do something to make it more famr like, tractors, sty, chicken house, farm house, fields, and such, and then make some of them have structures that would not get destroyed so ou could still see the it would stay more farm like. Good start on a level, but you could do much more with it so it isn't an occasional cow falling on a destroyed bit of ground.2010-09-15 18:57:00

thank you very much for that celus. Your absolutely right about adding more stuff. I was planning on tweaking it / adding more. I think I might add a fence as a thin layer throughout the level for a farm touch. I thought about making a chicken house when I first started making it. A tractor is a really good idea too. I do have a farm house it's on the very right hand side.

Also about the clouds, I will probably remake them to be less chunky. But I couldn't figure out a way to make them move and be pleasing to the eye(not have extra material holding on to it.) I'm sure i could if i wrapped my mind around it.

The only problem w/ structures that can't be destroyed is the player could sit in it the whole time and never die, that's why i made everything destructible. thanks again!

The structures would be on the thin layers, like the beams and such, likt behind the intro building and the cylo, if you check out the space invasion level I did, you can see what I am talking about, it is not buildings, but people in that one. The fence is a good idea, and for the clouds pistons or chains moving them or emiting the coulds to foat across one side to the other may work.2010-09-15 20:19:00

Hey just checked out your level.

At first I thought "oh no another bomb survival" but you do have a kind of unique take on it so that's good. But it does suffer from a lot of the problems of many bomb survivals in that it's not dodging bombs (animals) but rather trying to jump out of a hole and getting lucky or unlucky as to where the bombs land. Also this level had a problem whereby I would die whilst it showed the speech bubble for the next animal - most annoying. But on the plus side I liked the farting cow bomb LOL it got me once or twice though

Suggestions
- I don't want to die randomly, and I don't want to get stuck in a hole. Must be some fix for this after 1000000 bomb survivals...
- Fix the speech bubble issue
- Add some new extra-fun gameplay element to really differentiate this level
- Visuals are fine I would put these on lower priority

F4F my "Platform Incredible" level if you could! Thanks.

Wow, I have played TWO new (to me) awesome bomb survivals today. Who would've thought it was possible?

Anyways, that is awesome. Second high score, died after flying into gas after getting the jetpack in the secret room. Going to go play it again.

A fun bomb survival level.

I like the farm theme, but I feel more could have been done. Maybe some fields with a tractor?

The secrets were a neat idea, but there's really no clues as to what they are. Also, the secrets board could be moved to the end of the level. When the camera shifts to it the players are in grave danger. Make sure that if you do move it, you write what they are and not just "Secret #1."

The Magic mouths caused me to die a few times when the camera shifted.

I think the bombs in the structures should be better hidden. One character said, "we have no idea what's going on out there!" Then I said: "DUDE! YOU'VE GOT BOMBS ALL OVER YOUR HOUSE!"

I'm still not clear what the duck does... I know he's got a spinning yellow light... Then stuff blows up.

A nice level, but it could use some tweaks.

Please F4F my level "Castle."
Probably best to search for "@jayzhee"
Thanks!

He he! Got the high score after I posted my above post.

And yeah, what's with the spinning yellow lights?

Suggestion:
More bombs. The level is fun and challenging, but there really isn't that much bombs being dropped.

Can I send you a friend request? My psn is Schrader4.

I'll hit up all of your guys's levels tonight and tomorrow for your reviews, thanks for mine I appreciate it. The spinning yellow light isnt really supposed to spin lol, its from the duck that flies from the sky; its supposed to be a warning so you dont blow up unfairly. My problem is the light is actually attached to the duck. I have already thought of a way to fix it; I will update it to do that.

I also started to make a glitched background I will probably keep working on (fields / windmills / barns etc.) I live in Wisconsin so I have a lot of inspiration to draw from in that area. I will prob tweak it to add some more bombs to drop as well.

Thanks for the help guys!

P.S. Of course you can add me, feel free to do so.

lol, I usually hate bomb survivals. but this one looks interesting so I will try it out soon.

Cool. 2nd place.

Anyways, I did enjoy this bomb survival more than others. I like the whole farm concept, and also the secret rooms you had underground. However, if you fall into one without a jet pack or something, you are pretty much stuck there to die...

I'm giving this a 4 stars! Nice job.

While not the biggest fan of bomb survivals, I found the level to be really fun. I liked that the animals were the bombs- it really Gave the level a more lighthearted feel. Most other things were standard bomb survival so I gave it 3 stars2010-09-26 05:13:00
