Huge Problem!!!

Archive: 6 posts

I've been working on my level A Bubbly Garden, and I've been making a tricked out tree. It's very important to the level because it's the elder tree, but I'm not really going to spoil all that for you. In the Robin Hood dlc there's a sticker that is a tree with lots of branches. I've been corner editing it for at least 45 minutes to get it right, but every time I click on it now with the pop-it cursor I get the Red Screen of Death! :kz: What do I do???? Should I just delete it and try again?2010-09-11 23:54:00

How big is the tree, if you corner edit an object that is to large the RSOD will happen.2010-09-11 23:58:00

Yeah, I feel like there's a good chance you'll have to delete the tree. I've red screened like 5 times ever while corner editing and I usually had to end up breaking the object into parts (this might be harder for you, it was usually because I tried to keep like one stretch of floor going on for too long) or maybe delete some unnecessary corners if the object is very complex.2010-09-12 02:09:00

I've had that happen to me.

You should make it in a blank, new level.

Make sure it's basic cardboard.

Shrink it enough so you can still work with it.

Make sure to delete unecessary corners.

So the best thing to do is delete it and follow the ^above^ directions. It could be risky to keep getting RSOD's.

Yeah, I have a special spot in my moon dedicated to making complicated objects. I also get a really annoying glitch where it won't let me copy objects with too many corners, I end up having to capture everything.2010-09-12 09:56:00

I will test the level every 10 minutes, and save it before each test.2010-09-12 14:38:00
