Hi everyone. I'd like to start off by saying that I have nothing but the utmost respect for this day and my deepest sorrow goes out to all those who were related to or knew victims of the September 11th attacks. I am an American myself and I feel it is truly one of the worst tragedies in history. Unfortunately, there are still a lot of misinformed people who are uneducated of what exactly happened on this day 9 years ago. It is natural to have interest in the explosions, the destructions, the attacks. People want to know why & what happened. People question all the physics behind it. Someone has to show them. 9/11 Simulation levels in LittleBigPlanet have been attempted before, but all have been done distastefully. I feel as if LittleBigPlanet 2 will properly provide us with the tools to make a high quality cinematic replica experience of this important event in American History. I fully understand this project will be met with many who disapprove, but may I say that have you noticed the overwhelming amount of Titanic replications in LBP? Many are done with a lot of skill & effort, all to make sure the event is remembered as time goes by. My sister visited a Titanic exhibit recently, where they even had a full-on video game simulation where the goal was to prevent the ship from hitting the iceberg. THAT is borderline distasteful. This project's goal is to be different. Since it has now been a full 9 years since the attacks, I feel enough time has passed to say that it is appropriate to take certain measures in order to keep the memory alive. We must never forget 9/11. That is why, if I attempt this project, there will be certain requirements: 1. It must be done in LittleBigPlanet 2, for quality tool purposes. 2. It must be done tastefully, in high-quality, with proper voice-acting, cinematic close-ups, and a sense of respect. 3. It must tell an epic story, it must demonstrate why 9/11 was such a big deal and why we must not repeat history. 4. It must be educational & informative, even if not directly. 5. It can not be done alone, I am great at project managing and acting (I am an actor IRL) but I do not have all the skills to make this work. 6. All voice actors who sign-up must have an HQ compatible PS3 Bluetooth Microphone. 7. We must remember the main goal throughout its production, to show proper respect for those who suffered and to inform the public. 8. It must *feel* real. I want to capture a certain sense of despair and tragedy that was felt all throughout that day. I want to make people relive the sense of patriotism and strength that occurs when the citizens of our great nation unite & work together. 9. No cheap sounds, no short-cuts, no jokes. Please remember that Quality is Key. I am not 100% sure about this project yet. Despite the fact that I really do feel it is time that someone does this right and that it is something I truly believe people could benefit from, I am posting this here first to see people's general reaction. I have started to plan everything out right now, although the Project may not even fully start production until December of this year at the earliest. I will need a dedicated & helpful crew to make this turn out well, it is all up to you. (I will update this page once positions start becoming taken.) If you are interested in lending a hand or providing some feedback, please leave a comment saying so below. PLEASE BE AWARE: I FULLY RESPECT THE HORRIBLE TRAGEDY THAT WAS THE SEPTEMBER 11TH ATTACKS. MY PURPOSE BEHIND THIS ULTIMATE SIMULATION IS ONE OF EDUCATIONAL VALUE. WE CAN NOT IGNORE WHAT HAPPENED; WE MUST TEACH THE YOUNGER GENERATIONS SO THAT HISTORY DOES NOT REPEAT ITSELF.

That sounds like a great idea and I completely agree, a tragic moment like that in history should not have any funny jokes or anything like that. I don't think what I could do but will definitely be mentioning this project later today. Good luck and I hope a lot of people will be willing to help

Sounds like a good idea. Was thinking of something along the lines of this, this morning. I just decided that I couldn't do such a thing in one day, because I wanted it to be good. So I just changed my PSN Avatar and comment. I fully support this.

I do care about the event on 9/11 and such, but making a level for it won't be that memorable, in my opinion. So yeah, don't really support this, but go ahead, I don't care. Wait, why'd I even post?

I will never forget 9/11. I will help with the project if I have time . With that being said, I am settling on the name "Always Remember", to oppose the general subliminal negativity associated with the line "Never Forget". Why never forget? Why not always remember...?

However noble the intent of the idea unfortunately any subject that involves politics will draw some negative reaction. Playing devils advocate for a moment: Will there be a memorial level for the hundreds of thousands of victims worldwide as a result of the Bush Admininstrations abuse of patriotic fervour in his questionable actions subsequently? Will you make a level for all the victims of cluster bombs in IRAQ (a country that had no ties to the 9/11 plot) A level about illegal rendition and imprisonment without access to democratic legal process? Will there be memorial levels about catastrophies with far higher human mortality? The tsunami that swept away thousands to their death in south Asia ? Earthquakes in south america? Famines in Africa? All with significantly higher mortality? I believe LBP is an a brilliant creative resource and applaud any attempt to push its boundaries in different directions, but as with all those sad Michael Jackson RIP levels, is it really the place for what could be considered politically contensious revisionism? By all means respect the innocent victims of this shocking . historic event but remember LBP is a global community

Some people could find this level offensive; I know its supposed to be very meaningful and sensitive, but for some who had others die in 9/11; seeing a cardboard plane fly into the building and cartoon-y sackpeople fall out might be a little... distasteful.

i support you and this level i would like to help.people who feel this level is distasteful should remember that there are movies of 9/11 and no one thought that was bad.but putting it in a video game format is a great way to get attention in the lbp community. my father was close to the area but luckily was never hurt.
