Is talking about how "dissapointed you are" the only thing this forum can do? Lighten up a little bit and focus on the positive aspect.2010-09-11 03:11:00

Well some of the DLC was a bit lame. I loved the pirates one, but I would have paid just for the water tool. I am not sure if I even completed the levels on that DLC. I usually read the descriptions on the PSN, but they are never clear enough and have to search because I just want music, tools and creat items.2010-09-11 04:13:00

The Metal Gear was a very nice DLC, but I have not really embraced the shooting element at all...I think I have had too much fun creating logic for damage from created weapons. That is the only reason Pirates got better in my view. I also like the music pack. I got a few others, but the create elements were lame compared to the first two. I almost got the History and Marvel...but I think the other DLCs were just so heavy on stickers, and I stopped using stickers for bit because I had been hit by that annoying sticker glitch where they never render or other magic stickers just appear randomly over the level messing it up. I was waiting for ice to be on a DLC or a better music pack (like a whole piano range...I can't do half of the songs I wanted...it is amazing how many use the very low or high end of a keyboard). Besides I don't really need levels because there are so many user created ones that are amazing.2010-09-11 17:17:00

The only thing I was disappointed in is the lack of decorations in the level kits. Not decorations like materials and stickers but things actually designated "decorations". They are the cornerstone for every one of my costumes. Some basic shapes would be nice. Or dare I say it a strictly decorations based DLC.2010-09-11 19:27:00

The one DLC that dissappointed me was... erh... umm... well there were 2 invain marvel materials (Marvel Montage) and then the wood material in the incredibles. Otherwise I wasn't dissappointed since I knew what I was buying.2010-09-11 19:56:00

I still have avoided the history pack, was it a good materials DLC? I looked at the posting on it, but nothing as game altering as the others...oh almost got Marvel for the brick material (I think that was listed), but I had spen so long making a brick wall sticker for my level that it came a little to late for me...and I did not see anything else of use in that pack.2010-09-11 23:45:00

Yeah I agree with you, the Marvel Levels werent as good as the others.
Only thing I liked from it were a few decorations and two materials.
Im really surprised they didnt add a sound object in, they could have put a lot of good sounds in.

It wasnt that bad though, I quite enjoyed the levels.

The mgs pack is the only great pack imho. Allthough the pirate one is very good ( But the last boss sucked so bad).. All the other gameplay packs sucked...2010-09-13 17:13:00

The only thing that's disappointed me is that whenever I use any dlc in copyable levels or prizes, I get flooded with requests to remove the dlc.2010-09-13 18:07:00

MGS and Monsters packs were awsome, Other stuff didnt really need, only got pirates for water, and havent got anything newer than that (minus star costume but that was limited) i just prefer the levels that came with the game, cause when i played them the first time i was all like WOW! this game is epic. The DLC stuff shows concept that i have seen before and just dont deliver that same wow factor. I guess its all dont to personal prefence, but for me MGS and Monsters pack are best.2010-09-13 18:29:00

The Marvel kit, it was nothing but just a bunch of super hero stickers. 2010-09-13 23:43:00

The Marvel Level Pack, though I haven't bought it yet. I was really hoping we would finally get some superpowers, but instead we got the smallest pack yet with no new tools. I'll buy it eventually, along with the costumes, but it was really sad because I've always wanted superpowers. Luckily they'll be possible in LBP 2! 2010-09-14 03:23:00

Well, the DLC is disappointing for me in general because it's not focusing on opening up creativity or providing creators new stuff. In general it's the more futile stuff like costumes and useless stickers.

I like DLC with useful objects, materials, levels, music or creation tools. I know they can't come as often as costume but they could come aLOT more than what we've seen so far. I'd also like a bunch of really useful stickers like a color palette, a gradient collection, basic shapes, etc.

I actually like dlc stickers. Sure there's some that I would never have any use for (Heavy Rain's black and white pics, and Sonic's pixelly pics), but I've gotten a lot of mileage out of some of them. Everybody scoffs at the Buzz pack, but I use its stickers all the freakin' time. It's got all the colored buttons which are pretty darn useful for doing vibrant colors (just about every one of my TF costumes (see sig) uses at least one Buzz sticker) and they're nice solid color stickers so they're good for painting any size object. I also really like the stickers in the Killzone pack... but then I'm generally doing futuristic military type stuff, so Killzone just naturally fits. Ico has a great sound object (I actually skipped Ico until I found out about the sound). The music pack has some great stickers for making small dots, squares, and straight lines.

Besides that, in Lbp2, if you wanna' make sackbot characters, all of those costume dlc's will be really helpful. Of course, getting new materials and decos is even better... but most of the dlc materials haven't been that useful to me: I don't particularly care for any of the Marvel mats except for Thing skin, and it's tough to find uses for the Valentine's or Christmas mats. I liked the Potc and Incredibles mats, and I freakin' LOVE the Mgs mats, though.

Well, I am not denying that some are useful. THERE ARE useful stickers. I just wish it was more planned, more structured. Actually, it's done this way to they can sell you more stuff easily. I could create a "be all end all" sticker set but MM would NEVER release something like that.2010-09-14 20:18:00
