Autumn Maple LeavesSpark151
Who knew the most shallow season of all
can be so exciting? Wonder off into the
land of Autumn. Exploring through Orange
Maple Leaves and Brown Oaks.
Introduction:

Who is this noob??
Hey. Anyways, I'm not dead, quitely. I'm still alive at the moment. I've finally just finished up this level. I had quite fun building this up and I'm glad to see if anyone will enjoy it. So I hope you like the level.

About the Level:

First off, this level was made by me. (That means my level must suck.)
It's based on a Winter an Autumn environment.
The theme is mainly Orange and Brown.
The characters are based on Autumn season. (Besides the knight?)
The level has no point of a story, but there is enough dialog to go through. Do yourself a favor and read; otherwise, you would be lost trying to figure out what's happening.
There is a lot of score bubbles. YAY!!
The scenery is beautiful. I think... :/

The Characters:

I want that awesome character!!!!11!!one1!!
Don't worry, you can obtain them, but you have to do something secret... (Hint: It involves a ticket...)

The Feedback:
Aww... no Feedback for Feedback? ):
I'm sorry, but me giving feedback to everyone is too much of a hassle since I have other stuff. Though, this doesn't mean YOU can't earn any from me.

You want to earn feedback from me? Really??? Come read closer then...
All you have to do is....
a) Stop by my profile and comment me "Check out my level xxxxx by xxxxx" or something along those lines.
b) Send me a Private Message asking me to play your level.

I will absolutely not reject your request. I'm not a mean author. I guarantee you 100% I'll play your level and give you feedback if you ask me. Don't be shy and ask.

Other than that, I hope you vuys love my level.

Hi Sparks! I've just played your level!

Here's my feedback:

Gameplay: Brilliant gameplay, I likesd the fact that you managed to divert from the classic left to right approach and you've decided to get a task scheme going - Brilliant! I liked the interior of the tree climb, with the dungeon - Is it a dungeon? Quite challenging but I managed it. 9.4/10
Characters: Lovely scarecrow, a bit fast, but great. Mr Lame was quite good, I liked tin too. Nice variety 8.9/10
Story: Not much of a story developing, good dialogue at times. 7.7/10
Scenery: Brilliant scenery, good choice of materials. I liked the falling leaves effect and the ground material. 9.1/10
Scoring: Score combos here and there. I was a bit pessimistic with the bit when you choose your own combo, I like being able to see a definite path of bubbles. 8.7/10
Originality: Apart from Velcro's "Over the hills and far away", I've never seen a level quite like it, superb scenery. 9.5/10
Intro/Ending: N/A
Overall: 9.2/10. A definite replay and :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: plus a <3
I'm looking forward to your next level

Yes, a dungeon, or the inside of a tree if you want. XP

Characters: Lovely scarecrow, a bit fast, but great. Mr Lame was quite good, I liked tin too.
Tin has to be my favorite. Glad you enjoyed the characters.

Scenery: Brilliant scenery, good choice of materials. I liked the falling leaves effect and the ground material.
That was my main approach, glad you liked it.

Hey Sparky
Great new level, it'd been awhile! I like the autumn theme, it seems to be in vogue what with Velcro, you, and someone else, i forget. But yours is an adventure and that really made it seem it's own. I liked the cutout work, and the falling leaves really set the mood you were going for. I liked the characters, although I didn't get how a knight relates to autumn, and I didn't know what Tin was, although he was very cute. The puzzle where you had to get thin wood was kind of vague, as I didn't think you could cross the gas puddle being that that's the reason yo need the wood for, lol. To make a bridge to cross it. But I finally tried being as I tried everything else. The tree was an awesome inclusion, and made a great last act to a fun level. Gave the level 5 stars.
Could you play and feedback my latest- Star Trak level. Thanks!

I'm glad you find mine different.

I liked the characters, although I didn't get how a knight relates to autumn, and I didn't know what Tin was, although he was very cute.
The Knight: Well, you see... I needed a guard, so I thought medievil times with the pilgrims and stuff. The only thing that came to mind was a soldier. Though, I didn't want humans showing; therefore, I put a full blown knight.
Tin: Okay, as I was building the level, I was thinking of adding a junkyard, therefore I made Tin. Then I changed my mind, but I couldn't exclude Tin, so I gave him a job. X3

The tree was an awesome inclusion, and made a great last act to a fun level.
Thank you, an I'm glad you liked the tree. I took precision on corner editing the details. Then, of coarse, I ran out of thermo.

Could you play and feedback my latest- Star Trak level. Thanks!
Sure thing kaiju_kid.

Oh my God,it's you (l don't know your name).l?ll try your level cause l feel bad for you and stuff *uninthusiastically starts to download* Yeah,l played your level and you went lame in high standards,l thought such lameness was impossible and you just came in and proved me wrong.Anyways,l?ll try to hide the lameness with some possitive feedback.

Awesome! this level looks too awesome! your corner editing and sticker work are phenomenal.the characters, environments and material selection made this level pure eye candy...Mmmm,candy.And gameplay was great! you made the RPG style quest fun,it was never boring running back and forth, because there was always a nOOb...l mean,new...obsticle waiting for you and they were very fun.My favorite part was when you choose your own combo (l probably chose the worst combo ever).l think this is your best level,l loved eveything about it.Only complaint is that the beggining had no music and it felt kinda boring, but it gave it a more autumn feel to it.

Another nOObish level from you (l still don't know your name) 5 stars and a heart cause l feel very bad for you.

I tried my best on adding obstacles during back & fourth sequences.

My favorite part was when you choose your own combo (l probably chose the worst combo ever).
This helps give everyone a chance for different scores depending on their route. Thanks for mentioning it.

Hey Spark151,

I love fall and its color, by far my favorite season. I was happy to see that you nailed it with your choice of materials, color pallet and great touches like falling leaves. But the true stars of this level are the trees and hollowed out logs that I was grinning ear to ear as a navigated through them. It all felt so earthy and natural. It plays great as always with your levels. The characters were funny and well made. The tasks were fun and I never felt like I was just on fetch quests. There are also some brutal combo areas that will keep me coming back.

:star::star::star::star::star: & a <3

Please give me your thoughts on my Ted & Robi level if you have the time. Thanks

For some reason I was craving the scenery of Autumn. I think I nailed it. As for the logs, I'm glad I implemented those into my level. It does feel very earthy.

There are also some brutal combo areas that will keep me coming back.
The end is going to be the real challenge. Not even I know whats the best path. XP

I liked that level, I'll leave feedback for you pal.

Thanks for playing Xenon!

Thanks much SketchNZ. I'm glad you liked the level and its environment.

And isn't that character Jack from the Animal Crossing games?
LOL. Sadly, yes. I made a pumpkin man with a blue cape. I thought it looked awesome. Then I realized he was the dude from Animal Crossing. I thought I mine as well name it Jack since it looks like him and I couldn't think of a better name. XP
Good catch SketchNZ.

Yeah. I had AC:GC, but not anymore. Though, I still got AC:WW and AC:CF.

Oh and is the next level going to be a circus?
No, what made you come to this conclusion?
Is it because that special ticket?
Well, the special ticket just gives you 4 prizes to The Knight, Statch, Tin, and Jack's head.
How is it used? Well, go back to the circus tent and you'll see a grabble winch.

I've been dying for another Spark level! I'll rate as I play...

First thoughts lovely autumn effect! It's like "Scenic of the leaves" on crack! Speaking of drugs... Awesome Scarecrow! Man, this level is just so beautiful, you've done an amazing job! Great tent... A crane? Didn't expect this... All the characters are great! Especially Jack! Insane bubble chain! The gameplay is simple, yet fun. It fits the atmosphere perfectly! I must say the tree is epic! (Gives me a Lord of the Rings vibe...) Wow, a dungeon! Like the spikey nuts! The corner editing here is flawless... W-wow, you really love bubbles! Ending felt a little abrupt. :O I never got to use my ticket, guess I'll have to play the level again...

Fun Factor: 9 (A ton of fun to play!)
Design: 11? (This level was BEAUTIFUL!)
Originality: 9 (Very original ideas!)
Story: 9 (A bit unusual... But worked!)
Overall: 10 (5 Stars and a Heart! Congrats!)

Very pretty level, I'd say this is my favorite of all of the PSP levels! The corner editing was amazing, and I loved all of the characters and material-choices. I rarely see a PSP level with any back-tracking, but this one actually had plenty. Great work, I rated the level :star::star::star::star::star: and gave the level a well-deserved <3. 2010-09-12 15:40:00

Going to play this right now. Looks promising.

[LOADING]

[Just spawned]

[Been asked to get some green sponge]

[The guy rejected me]

[Got to get some fine wood]

[Done some other stuff]

[In the tree]

[SCORE BUBBLE HEAVEN]

[Woah that ending scared me]

Time for the review:

Look: I really enjoyed having a look around the level and found it very artistic. Very skilled corner editting
Idea: I liked the idea of some sort of Autumn level. Maybe you should begin work on a Winter level? Thinking of Winter this has given me a brilliant level idea
Gameplay: I liked the gameplay as it wasn't a simple left/right sort of level, I also really like the levels where you grab things to give things to people so that was a plus for me.

Overall: I gave it :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3

I wanted to add a more better ending, but I ran out of thermo. Awkwardly, the my level kb is 288. To make it interesting, I even cheated out on thermo a bit.
I was expecting at least 320 kb size. I guess not. Sorry for such a lame ending.

Thanks for playing Fastbro!

X-FROGBOY-X:
I'm gald you think of this as one of your favorite PSP levels.
Thanks for playing!

I was actually thinking of building a Winter level. Even maybe a Spring type of level.
Who knows, maybe I'll start working on one. Maybe I won't.
Good luck on your level idea!

Anyways, thank you for playing, and it puts my face to a smile hearing you liked the level.

OKAH, IS FEEDBACK TIEM NOUGH!

Part I: Playthrough
The simple orange material in the opening shot looks great, and I like your lazy character here. Love the scarecrow too. So a little platforming and dialog, and I'm on my way. The tree and tent look really good! You also made a great choice of music here, at first it seemed like it wouldn't fit, but it really flows with the level. Up ahead, a machine and a robot character. I read the story about him, but I have to say it's still very out of place. The machine is very cool, however. Into the thickets!

I like Jack, of course. (Ba dum tiss)

No really, he's my favorite character. Cool work with him! Okay, I return the wood and then go explore. Let me tell you, I love this little cramped area, and how it's possible to get epic combos in it. Okay, take the wood to Lameo, and then back to the right.

This next area gave me a very familiar feeling, and it's a huge compliment to you. You remember Ocarina of Time, right? (Who doesn't?) When I entered this tree, I felt like I was right in that first dungeon. Hey, this tree even has a face, too! Come to think of it, there's even lots of bugs! Hmm... I think I know a little inspiration for this level. ;-) Anyways, the platforming here is great. I love the spinning spiked platforms. The broken limbs up here look AMAZING, I seriously cannot imagine how long that took. (And how many red screens you went through making it.) A little more cramped platforming and it's over.

Part II: Summary
So by now I know what to expect from a Spark level - both awesome platforming and amazing graphics, and this level didn't disappoint. From the great characters to the platforming dungeon, it was a lot of fun. When I heard about this level, I thought it was going to be like Leaves, but I was pleasantly surprised. (NOT that Leaves wasn't good, it just would have been a step down at this point.) You captured a simple, fun feel with the plain orange material, and yet added an elegant feel with the giant trees. The platforming felt very natural and flowed nicely. No obvious flaws, great work!

Part III: Review
Looks: 5/5
Platforming: 5/5
Story: N/A
Originality: 4/5
Replay Value: 5/5

The Good: Graphics, graphics, graphics!
The Bad: Not really much at all!
The Ugly: Not this level, that's for sure. :-D

Five stars and a spongey orange heart!

I'm glad you like the colors and the objects. As for the song, I agree; it didn't feel right, but it plays well after playing longer.

Up ahead, a machine and a robot character. I read the story about him, but I have to say it's still very out of place. The machine is very cool, however. Into the thickets!
As mentioned before, I was kind of going to add a junkyard part to the level, but I extracted it out. Though, I left Tin and the crane. I just felt that I needed that in there.

Nice catch! Yes, I did receive some inspiration from Ocarina of Time. It was just needed for this level; first off, it's a tree. Second, the level is imaginative and the great deku tree had a face too. I didn't get the exact person, but I will say I earned some inspiration. Nice Catch!

Anyways, the platforming here is great. I love the spinning spiked platforms. The broken limbs up here look AMAZING, I seriously cannot imagine how long that took. (And how many red screens you went through making it.) A little more cramped platforming and it's over.
Wow, that actually took the longest to build. I'm so amazed how beautiful it looks though.
By the way, the level, total, I came across three red screens. Surprisingly, that it a very little. The inside of the tree, I'd say I only came across 1 red screen and 1 freeze.

S
o by now I know what to expect from a Spark level - both awesome platforming and amazing graphics, and this level didn't disappoint. From the great characters to the platforming dungeon, it was a lot of fun. When I heard about this level, I thought it was going to be like Leaves, but I was pleasantly surprised.
Yes, this level was very, very different than Scenic of the Leaves. I actually went through a different route of building this. Nicely, I think I pulled it off.

The Good: Graphics, graphics, graphics!
The Bad: Not really much at all!
The Ugly: Not this level, that's for sure. :-D
There was no bad complaints so far. Nice and thanks.

Spark!!

What in impressive piece of art you created here. If video games are art, this level should be hung in a museum. This is a total package of a level. It has everything LBP is all about. Beautiful scenery and fantastic gameplay. LMAO at cool dude!! I wanted to smack him, then he sends me on a fetch quest for some green moss? Great platforming up the tree, nice bubble chain.... got it!! Okay cool guy, put that in your pipe and smoke it!! Great intro to your level, the other characters were very cool too. I love the falling leaves. You know, I was planning on doing that in over the hills, but I couldn't get that pink material to look like a leaf, even when stickered. Yours look like the real thing!! What the heck!?! Great job man!!

Going through the world you created was a total joy, all the worlds you create are a joy. You just know how to make a great level bro, that's all there is too it. I love the bubble chains in this level. Some are hard to get, and some I actually study before I go for it. There are multiple combos to go for, but which one will keep my chain going longer? Nice!! Your corner editing is some of the best I have seen, you know how to work that thing! Your materials were all beautiful; and complimented each other perfectly.

I like how you hide your scoreboard. The first time I play any of you levels, I never know I am in front of it until is kicks on.

You did an incredible job on this my friend.

Five stars and a heart! <3

Oops, I forgot to reply.

What in impressive piece of art you created here. If video games are art, this level should be hung in a museum.
That's nice to say.

LMAO at cool dude!! I wanted to smack him, then he sends me on a fetch quest for some green moss? Great platforming up the tree, nice bubble chain.... got it!! Okay cool guy, put that in your pipe and smoke it!!
LOL. It's moss green sponge. XP

I love the falling leaves. You know, I was planning on doing that in over the hills, but I couldn't get that pink material to look like a leaf, even when stickered.
There's a trick I found to hide the outline of any material. Easy to do, but difficult to explain. XP

Yup, I'm glad I implemented this so now earning the highscores won't be simple.

Your corner editing is some of the best I have seen, you know how to work that thing! Your materials were all beautiful; and complimented each other perfectly.
This is my first level actually spending a lot of time corner editing. I had fun because for some awkward reason, I was craving the scenery of something seasonal. (Autumn)

Thanks for playing and the feedback VelcroJonze.

Hey, I just played your level and I had to come by say it was awesome!

My absolute favorite part of this level was the looks. The material choices, characters, corner editing, etc were all brilliant, not too harsh and realistic but not too cartoony. The falling leaves were definitely a nice touch. There wasn't much innovation from a game play standpoint, and yet that didn't matter one bit because there was enough platforming and mini-story objectives to keep the game play interesting while keeping the focus on the brilliant aesthetics. Overall, another great level from you .

Edit: Saw another post and remembered, was there a use for that ticket? I remember finding it but I don't remember doing anything with it...

Hmm, nice. Thank you for the kind words.

That's nice to hear your playthrough wasn't ruined. My main priority was to work on the scenery. Glad I nailed it.

Yeah, there is a use for the ticket.
You know the Circus Tent? Well, after grabbing the ticket, go back to the tent and you will find a grabbable winch. Which leads you to a black and white area with 4 obtainable Prize Bubbles of the included Lame Guy (Knight), Statch, Tin, and Jack's head.
Hope you enjoy the items. That is if you are going to collect them.

Thanks for playing!

Hey man!

You did a great job here! (As always)

Your selection of materials and gameplay elements went perfectly with the title that you chose for this level. Great job! I also loved the character that you had at the beginning of the level. I believe he was "The Coolest Guy in the World"? Hahaha, nice job with that! That actually made me laugh a bit. I couldn't find much wrong with the level at all...in fact I couldn't find ANYTHING wrong with the level. You did an awesome job with this! Keep up the good work!

I gave you :star::star::star::star::star:'s and a <3.

Don't you mean "The Lamest Guy in the world". Lol
Glad you like the characters.

That's awesome. I thought one error would happen because it occurred on my little brother. I honestly didn't know what caused it. Glad it never happened to anyone in this thread.
Anyways, thank you for playing and I can't wait to see you publish another level someday.

Anyway, thanks for the shout out VelcroJonze. As well as Taffey.

Hey Spark, your level is nothing short of amazing. I swear this level has some of the best visuals of any other psp level. I really loved your trees, especially the giant one. I was really very amazed by how great it looked. Breathtaking? Yes! Your characters were awesome and very interesting. All of your materials worked great. I really enjoyed watching the leaves fall from the trees. That was a really great touch that really set the mood for the level, right from the start. This level, to me, had to be your best. It was an instant classic. Needless to say 5 :star: and a <32010-10-01 07:47:00

Hey Spark!
You really have corner editing skills! Those trees were epic. I loved the gameplay too. And your door into the tree was very well done. It's really nice how you have both visuals and gameplay mastered

Keep up the amazing work!
