Custom Level Posters

Archive: 14 posts

hello! i enjoy making posters for my levels, i do them in my spare time when i am bored and think my level needs to be advertised. I can take requests from any body, but you need these things first:
(NOTE): you MUST have a years worth of experience in lbp.

1. a few concept drawings of your level to show me the design and theme of it.
2. your user name
3. specific things you would want on the poster
4. your email (optional, you can also request me to post it here)
5. side notes (optional)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i will usually take up to 1 week minimum and 3 weeks max, so dont expect it to get finished right away

I don't think many people would be entirely comfortable posting, or even PMing, their email address. If it's just an image you may as well just post them into the OP and people can save them from there.

Also how are you going to know if someone has actually had a years worth of experience in LBP, more importantly does it matter?

Why Make it so only people who've been playing a year can have one?! I know some fantastic creators who've had the game a few months! As for myself, I've had two profiles spanning across a year, but I've only has this account for a few months, so where do I fall? And how would I prove it?

Also, why not just PM the image here, on the forum, so people don't have to give away their emails?

I'm not sure how you'd prove a years worth of LBP experience. besides that, if you were to send the file by PM i'd request one (:2010-09-10 16:32:00

It sounds cool but I agree with the others, does it really matter if you have a year's worth of experience and you can just post it in the OP just like people do for art request threads. Don't get me wrong though, it's a great idea. 2010-09-10 19:51:00

1. emailing is just way faster for me when i already have the file, plus the file goes directly to the person who requested it, other people cant copy it for their own evil needs
2. i want people to have at least a years experience because i want to know i am making a poster for a level that will have good, hard work put into it. in other words, i want you to have experience, other wise you can just forget asking me. i won't waste my time on a h4h level or a level put together in your 30 minutes of free time.

here's how you prove to me your at least capable of making good looking, and well made levels: concept art. i make it a year because i want to be 100 % sure you know lbp like the back of your hand, that tells me you can make a decent level if you tried hard enough. and really if someone lies to me, i don't give a ****, if their idea doesn't sound interesting i probably wont put much effort into it anyway because i know when people are just looking for attention.

how ever i might change the email requirement since that seems like an ok suggestion. everything else stays.

I don't need your poster service. I can make my own thank you.

Also, just because someone plays LBP for a year does not mean they can create.
