Today I noticed that all the active LBP players from europe got their beta keys but when I checked my mails I didn't had a mail. Then I remembered that I'm always using an american account so that must be the reason why I can't play the beta. Either that or my levels are just bad and they don't think that I need to play the beta. I'm very sad all day and I think that it's not fair not to let a european gamer girl have her beta key though she spends so much time on that game building levels for the community. That's why I'm asking you if anyone could share with me or if anyone who does not want to play the beta could give me his/her code? Btw I think it's really bull**** that the US has to wait! If I were from the states I would be ****** even more then I already am! >:-(

Then I remembered that I'm always using an american account Why do you have an American account? Btw I think it's really bull**** that the US has to wait! If I were from the states I would be ****** even more then I already am! >:-( They're doing it for their server I think, I do agree though, it is lame. Atleast they know that they can buy a good collecters edition, our's might be overpriced and/or crap

Does active mean that you have played or published a lot? I use an american account because I'm from Germany and the german store and home are censored. We don't get things like adult PSN, PSP and PS1 games, no addons like the versus mode for RE5 and home is smaller then the others because we don't have spaces like Resident Evil. Hmm well as far as I know we will get a Sackboy and something else so it can't be that bad.

I think by active they meant who had been online on LBP a lot but I also think a lot of luck was involved and they let in creators they liked(I might be wrong).

Then I'm confused because every LBP gamer on my list is playing the beta. Sometimes I'm playing it for 8 hours and I published several levels I worked on for months. I think that should be enough to get a beta key. Does anyone know if you can use any european DLC? I got almost every LBP DLC there is (except a few costumes and the sticker packs no one needs) and I would share them if anyone could help me.

Well but Sony knows about sharing and there is a reason why they gave us the posibility to share 4 times instad of banning it completely. Most people do that and no one ever got punished. However is there not a single person who wants to do another person a favour? It's not like I want your paid games I just want to play the beta aswell.

The gamesharing aspect is only to be used for transfering to a new PS3, or something like that I think. I'm pretty sure Sony does take action when they are alerted to gamesharing, though maybe not. Anyway, discussion of gamesharing is not allowed on the forums IIRC. And also I would not suggest participating in gamesharing because you run a high risk of getting scammed by someone who will be all too eager to pretend to have a beta code to exchange for something (this has happened many times for the early LBP1 beta).

Hmm well I never heared about anyone got punished for doing so. Even if you share it could always be that you are just using another PS3 yourself. As long as it's all by private messages there should be no problem with the forum rules or anything like that.

You don't own rights to said DLC, you are granted a license to use it within the bounds of the terms of service. Gamesharing falls outside of those bounds, is a breach of your ToS with Sony, a breach of international copyright and intellectual properties laws and the discussion of such actions is well outside the bounds of the official site rules (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=21530-Rules-Consequences). But yeah, gamesharing is certainly not legal. Ignorance of these laws is not a valid defense.
