This is such an old joke, however I feel that I should point out a few things. First of all, the bolded step does not make any sense in the first place. Algebraically that should be: Girls x evil = √money? x evil AND means addition (or it could easily be a bitwise AND, but that's not really applicable in this context). So you have... Girls require time and money... Require does not mean "equals", but let's just assume for a moment that it does... Girls = time + money Now, if time is money... Then you could say: Girls = money + money Girls = 2 * money Money is the root of all evil... This does not specify which type of root, we can just assume that it's the square root, though.
