Export option on Music Sequencer

Archive: 8 posts

So, if anyone's been watching some of the vids from PAX (mainly the ones with the MS) they all know the MS is awesome. The music you can create with it seems top notch. My wish is that you could export an audio file to your HDD of the song/music that one makes. I understand you can also use it to time events in a level too, which could possibly throw this feature off. But, it would be great if this could happen. We can already take in-game pictures and export them to our HDD's, this would be a pretty cool addition. (As a side-note, video would be fantastic as well)2010-09-09 01:27:00

Well, it's not that hard to copy things to the Sequencer...

...but we're lazy, aren't we?

How is that lazy? I'm saying export the song you created with the Music Sequencer. Does that mean it's lazy for people to export a picture they took to the HDD to show other people an image of their level?

EDIT:
Oh wait, I misread your post. I thought you were calling me lazy for some reason. I don't think you understand what I'm suggesting though. I mean an audio file of the song created with the sequencer for outside LBP purposes. Say someone made a sweet track and others wanted it to put on their mp3 player, or they just wanted to show it off in a thread. The author could export it and give it to them. That's what I mean.

I think someone needs to invent A DECENT MIDI GUITAR...

Seriously as good as the songs were that I've heard composed, they ALL sound electronic to an extreme. Why does software never use a decent solution for implementing custom guitar sounds? Surely it's been done? What to do, is to NOT record one note and then modulate it... it's to record different CHORDS at once, and then play those... after all, that's all you really want from a guitar in most songs. A solo would be much more complex due to the different timbres of sound possible.

What makes you think there isn't a guitar sound object?

@ OP: That's a great idea! I wish they would implement it.

It's hard to simulate natural real string sounds with all behaviors, since guitar is not like piano. This is what he means, of course it won't change the fact that you can have pre-recorded samples in LBP2,but still it's not like real guitar and not allow to simulate all songs in high accuracy.2010-09-10 01:56:00

Very good idea! I really hope this gets added in a future update, as this would no doubt add to LBP's fame. 2010-09-10 04:02:00
