15 too old for this game?

Aw, is he afraid his son is turning all "rainbowy"?

Anyway, i'm 15 too. We have at least two active members 30 or older, probably more.

And a REAL mature person wouldn't not buy a game just because it's teh kiddiez. Real scary when I look at some other people around my school and think they will be able to vote in a few years. o_0

they act really mature, no?

anyway, yep.

I'm 26, and my wife is 25. We play together, although I play more than she does. Tell your dad he's too old to understand these "Nintendos" us youngins play.

And Bravo Grimm for putting your dad in his place!!! Smack that face and tell him to go make you a sandwich!

same here, only with friends, who describe it as a "rubbish baby game", then I have to sit there explaining the concept of the game to them for half an hour.

Um, I'm 19 but it seems you discriminate against people like me as the poll isn't compatible with 19 year olds. 2008-10-25 23:48:00

Thought wtf is he talking about then looked at the poll again and then it made me LOL

This thread is sooooo 18-20 ist

I turned 30 last month btw and i tell you something. There is not much in this world that a 15 year old is too young for
This game has no age limit and just because it has a cutesy mascot people are sometimes mistaken that it is only a kids game.
The only limit in LBP is your imagination and most definitely not age

look what has happened to our teens...
it is sad
they are constantly feeling the need to prove thier masculinity by playing gory FPSs, if you smacked them in the face and said are you creative at all, that would not even work because they have been brainwashed and are following the so called standards that people always view boys as and the boys feel that they have to live up to that because if they do not they will not be masculine enough and will be called *** by their friends?sad?and are also scared that they will not be able to get a girlfriends because they do not feel, themselves, masculine enough.
ok look i love being creative and do not always play those gory FPSs, and i like flow, and pixeljunk eden and other creative games like that, INCLUDING THIS AND I MEAN A LOT, and you know what i have a girlfriend and i am among high standings among the guys and i do not have to be all, creative games are *** sort of thing, i mean just wow at those guys that think that

Cheers!

i was so sad.... listen to this....

so my parents keep telling me this game is stupid, and i played the beta and i love this game.. it's conecpt is amazing, and my parents always tell me it's for little kids... so i go into gamestop today to pick up my game, and who walks up right next to me? a 6 or 7 year old kid... exact words of what he said "CAN I HAVE LITTLE BIG WORLD PLEASED? IT"S UNDER ......"

i wanted to cry... the kid was so young he didn't even know how to say the games name correctly...

hey, sony wins again... they got kids who arent even sure of the games name to buy and pre order it, cuz it's colorful and pretty...

put i thank mm alot for putting in that one part of the game where there is that mole strip club... that reassured me it's for us older people too ( older as in 16 lol )

i bet that kid didn't even understand half the vocabulary the narrator used... just looked at the pretty colors...

p.s 1-10 year olds either arent allowed to be on forums... or don't know how to use forums... so so much for anyone that age being here to vote...

I find that those who call LBP kiddie are those who know almost nothing about it. It really isn't that kiddie, people just take one look at Sackboy and say "That game's for 5 year olds and girls." I hate people like that, especially since my dads one of those kinds of people. Luckily for me, he doesn't know the slightest thing about LBP.

I'm 16, btw.

23. My grandad, who is an avid gamer, will also be buying the game. He's 65. I hope that should sussinctly answer your question.2008-10-26 10:31:00

I'm fifteen years old but with me it's just the opposite. Everybody loves the game!!!
When i got into the beta I invited 4 friends over to my place and we had SO much fun!!
I only got the beta for like 4 days and 2 of which I wasn't at home but they came those 2 days and we played from 11 o'clock till like 18:00!!! My parents really like it too because they say all those FPSs are the same. The only thing I do is shoot shoot and shoot. Now they actually are interested in gaming and they really like the level editor. My dad even tried to use it himself, he never does that with any other game!! except thing like super rub a duck because all other games are too difficult for him. Even when he tries to watch some foto's or a movie at my PS3 he doesn't understand how the controler works!!!

Your granddad is great!! I'm 20 and my man is 23, we're addicted to it. We also play other games similar to this, like Pixeljunk Eden etc...

Well, 13 here and I don't care if people (Or my friends for that matter) think it's kiddy. It's not their fault, they just don't know about the game. If it bothers them that much I would just tell them to get a life!.... Or I would explain the game to them . It only really matters if you LET it bother you. My family really aren't the gamer sorts lol. My mum doesn't care about what I do as long as it isn't bad. When she saw me on the beta she just said "What'ya playing?" and I told her that I liked the game and I got in he beta (After explaining what a Beta is *Facepalm*).

BTW: I almost posted with the last 2 words spelt "botha u." :0! Not like me eh?

LOL sorry about the not being able to vote for 19 year olds. If you are 19 put down 20. That story about buying the game and the 7 year old, was pretty funny. But idc what people say i am getting it anyway. I am gonna see if they have it at gamestop today!!!!!2008-10-26 15:23:00

Yeah, he got me into the Monkey Island series, I can never thank him enough for that, it's one of my favorite series of all time.

The few friends of mine who own PS3s and not 360s are all also picking up LBP. they are mostly 24+ in age. I'm surprised your dad has a problem. At least you are playing something wholesome and not GTA IV or kill fest 2009 etc...

I told my friends about it, and they haven't played it, watched some videos and thought it was pretty cool, so I can't say that my friends think it's stupid

It all has to do with opinions, but you can't make an opinion if you haven't played/watched the game, that would be an assumption. And you know what assuming is

I'm 36 and am bored rigid by 'Call of Halo 5: Guns of similarity' so I think LBP harks back to the late eighties early nineties where a good game came from creativity and not just graphics. I get really annoyed by advertisements for games that say things like 'this is the next evolution in gaming' just because there is light reflecting off the characters **** or somthing similar. Downloadable content is perfect for showcasing different gaming experiments, and I think LBP is an evolution of that move.

A case in point being the Sims, ok I'm no lover of it myself, but at the time there was nothing else like it so it makes sense it did so well, people where already becoming bored of FPS/Driving/3rd person games and wanted a different experience, as well as drawing in people who had not previously been gamers. I also like the creativity aspect of the game and the community aspect. Its different therfore in my book its good.

Anyway, my brother in law took his PS3 up to his family home while the beta was still in progress and by the end of the day his whole family were playing it and it was on until late at night. His sister "I bloody hate games", his Dad, his mum and his gran were all playing it and having a great time so it just goes to show that we need to diversify games to move the scene on.

I was hoping my wife would get into it being an ex WOW player and gamers but no....it annoys her

I also think its great that younger gamers get into it and use the PS3 creatively, however if I pick up another rocket car object I'm gonna scream.

I'm 14, pretty much all of my friends are huge fans of shooters, such as Halo, Gears, and CoD. They're really into them. (One friend is into racing games though; he's also my only PS3 owning friend.)

Anyway, I tell them I really want LittleBigPlanet, and they're like, OMG, awesome! They talk about how fun it looks, and how cute the characters are, and how the level editor looks really cool.
>_> I wasn't expecting that, lemee tell you.

The funniest part is the poll doesn't consider 19 to be an actual age...

Granted, I'm not 19... but still =P

As for what PiratePete said, that's great =) I know my friend Greg said that he was expecting the game to be boring... but he was proven wrong. He loves it. =)

Fifteen.

I've been making level designs for video games since a very young age (on paper )... this game is really my cup of tea.

Except it's more like a pitcher of tea, or a small pond of tea.

23 here. Bought this game for primarily the level creator. LBP is basically Gary's Mod for the PS3!

I managed to snag one of those pre-recall copies and have never thought of selling it for that price it was fetching on E-bay a while back. Why? LBP is the first game me and the gf ever played together.

She seems to be a whole lot more receptive to my gaming habit now that she knows the joys to be found in finding that hidden item
