The Dark Wheel Race and Dark Wheel Race Reverse are two simples races.

But it's not just a race, you need to find you way in a little labyrinth that are inside off a big wheel that turn when you enter inside.

The goal
Simple, you just need the do your best to have the best time that you can

This two are a tentative to make a simple funny game, in order to change after the realisation of "Escape to the Hamster house" (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=35126-Escape-to-the-hamster-house), a story level.

Please give me your feedback on my twice level, thank you
Enjoy

I just played your level.

I can only presume that you've been playing it with alternate/friends' accounts which is why it has a 5 star rating at the moment... I'm afraid I don't think this level is worth that. What I played was exactly what it said on the tin - a race in a dark wheel. But there was only one way to go, marked out by arrows. Presentation wise I have seen a lot better mazes out there and this should have been harder to find your way around rather than marking the way. The concept is also not very original.

Suggestions:
When making a maze try to be original in your design. Maybe incorporate other wheels, buttons to spin them in different directions - maybe use smaller obejcts, maybe triangles which spin round. Maybe some complicated rules or a puzzle maze.
Having to run around a maze that goes up and down can be frustrating, even if it is spinning to let you through. A tougher puzzle maze using a jetpack (or water) might be more fun.

Hello!

I thought you level was okay.

The level was too dark for my liking. It was hard to see where I was going, even with all of the lights everywhere. I suggest you turn the darkness down just a little bit.

The wheel was very annoying, in my opinion. It was hard to move around and it was a maze. There were arrows, but it's so dark it's too hard to see them! Maybe you could make the arrows easier to see?
Moving around in the wheel was just a pain. The reason the giant wheel in The Bunker was so good was because there was grabbable material that you could hang on to so that you don't fall back down. I suggest you add some grabbable material at some parts of the level.

Because the level is a race, I think it would be ideal to be able to move FAST.

I gave it 3 stars. I honestly didn't like it, but don't give up hope! Just keep on creating - you'll eventually get better!

The race was so short compared to hamster...
You definately could have added more. I could see several prox sensors, they did not take tons away, and you could almost use them to decorate the level, set them to sack boy size for sensor area and then set them alont the path you travel to light up the way...you know what, scratch that, it would look cool in a all dark level, but you would still see them in this level in the bright areas, so just hide them. The bolt in the center was visible, ok, but I like to hide those, you could add a center circle over it to hide it and for players to bounce off. The arrows were ok with me since it was a race more than a maze. The lighting in the center was bad, it was not possible to see the jump out, just a tad more there would be good, and I have a big screen, so others may not see anything... I got first place and left you a message about pwning the level...because I did. I am not sure if changing the maze material to something with more traction would be good, I wished it was kind of grabbable, but that may have made it too easy. You could add a swiveling light to light half the maze as you run, or a trail of leds that signal the path like a landing stip, but that may not work in B&W levels. You could have made the level much longer, but it was still a fun little race, you could add an electrified arrow at the start in the background to hlpe with direction with out having to add lights. I had fun on the level, could have been longer...just hide those switches, add the lighting or some sort...possibly a less slippery surface, and more to the level.

Hello everybody

Well, I have read with attention your feedback, and now the new level are online.
You will find it under the name "Dark Wheel Race V2.0"

I have made lot of changes :
1 - I have change the music, sure it was a little bit depresive before
2 - I change the B&W for the obscure only, then the color stay alive.
3 - I have put lot of lamp !!!!
4 - You will find a little help at the beginning
5 - I have put some grabable in the stategics places in order to help the player to don't loose time (not to much)

To conclude, the level is completely different, well, it's the same, but the look and feel are completly different.

For the players that don't have test the first one, it is still alive, if you want to compare

I hope you will like it, remenber, it's just a little race, no story, i just try to put a little fun inside.

Then give me your feedback on this new one, and more important, ENJOY !!!

And now it's my turn to give you some feedback

NIce changes. It was a very well done. I like the signs and the help area very much, the signs didn't appear long enough to read...maybe if the area was just a bit bigger for whatever turned it on...that and nothing compelled me to go right, so other peole may miss out on the cool little help blurb. Ran through the race, and like the way the lights went, I did get mixed up a little once or twice on which way was which, but I don't know if that should be fixed, because that would take the maze part out. The one thing I did run into was the last bit I had gotten to the end, but I could not tell, because for some reason I did not fall through on two rotations, maybe a larger green light on the last part so you can see you are there, and not turn around and go the way back again. The lights set the way they were at the scoreboard seemed wellplaced...kind of noir/art decco. I would touch up on the amount of time the run and help signs appeared, maybe a suttle hint via lighting at the start point to make a person want to explore more to the left for the help window to appear, and someting for that last light to say you have made it...still not sure why I did not just fall down to the next point there, it looked like I was standing over the arrow, but I could not see good enough.2010-09-14 19:33:00
