Every time I try to upload a picture for my sig it always says 'remote file too large' even with ready made sigs! Please help, I really want to get a sig picture. I am new-ish too the site so sorry if this is a little obvious.

How large a file are you trying to attach? I think there was an imposed limit of 500px by 100px awhile back and then whatever file size for your current status. I was thinking under 2mb, but that also might be larger than your limit since you are new.

Wow, that was quick! Aah, so does newness effect the file size you are aloud to use? I think my limit is 9.8kb. The sig I got is 60-70kb! :eek:

lol.. well, I just happened to see it and responded. Yes.. as you grow in XP, your allowable size gets bigger at some point. Not sure exactly when though. Mine is 2mb since I am a contributor to the site, besides having been here over a year etc.. So if you trim down that sig, to a smaller file size, you should be able to use it ok.

I am not sure how to trim it down, maybe I will just keep contributing, and save it for when my limit is big enough. Might take a while though. But I am addicted, so who knows?

Try uploading it to an external site, like imageshack.us, and then using tags to link to the image in your signature. Quote me to get the idea. I'm using just a random picture for this: [IMG]http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/6752/calltoarmse.png

Instead of copy and pasting the IMG code for my pic I was using the direct link, which made the file much bigger. Thanks for you help too!
