Thanks for clicking!

A hoverboard level with designed challenges for horizontal and vertical gameplay. The last challenge is optional, where you have to use vertical and horizontal movement to leave the laser zone to allow shooting the targets. I feel I've made a very manageable hoverboard that you can actually control. Check it out and let me know if you agree!

I'm open to any feedback/criticisms! You won't hurt my feelings if you want to come back to this thread and tell me how much you hate my level

Dude, I love the concept... but I couldn't get past the first door. Honestly it's ridiculously hard; the sackboy's weight affects the board a LOT. Your visuals are decent, but I'm having a hard time doing anything. I guess if I practiced for a long time I could get it, but not many players (including myself) are willing to do so. Work on your hoverboard some, maybe with a friend who's not really good at it, and see what you come up with!

If you'd review my level, I'd really appreciate it. Also, likewise, I don't mind if you have to be harsh. Commander Keen: Goodbye Galaxy - Part III (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=35103-Commander-Keen-Goodbye-Galaxy-Part-III)

Thanks for responding! Those are all concerns that I would have expected. I've known 1 person in real life and 1 person online who have told me the board feels great. Everyone else has trouble lol

It's all about barely moving while on the board to shift the weight, but I have no idea how to convey that to people without a video or animation of me doing it. Thanks for trying it out and I'll definitely check yours out too!

I should really put more time on the first door timer. I took it down to where I could make it through on my first try consistently, but I forget that I have spent a lot of time on that board.

Well I beat the level, but I was disconnected during the fight with the...well the challenge, so my 2185 did not post...even though I had signed back in...stupid LBP servers and DNS errors. Oh wellThe first door did not get the the first time...but when I was in the seond part I was killed and got to find out there was no spawn point...and got to try the first part again...and get killed by the door closing. The seond and third wall climb parts were quite fickle. One jump on the board that was wrong and it was all over. I finally made it slowly up to the challenge and found it er, tricky to say the least, to get over to the things to fightrequired moving that way, but you end up hitting the wall because there is very little time to respond...I got crushed by the wall or stuck many more times than the floor...but I was able to see out of your level to the right side. Didn't notice any other glitches, but perhaps putting the rocket to the board activated by a little gabbable pad in the very center would afford the player more control. I know in rockets you can steer them a bit by grabing them and just moving from side to side, so a rocket board may work the same. I was a novel idea, but like the fake stories of a real hover board that was used in Back to the Future, it was very hard to control. Good idea, fun challange. If you can tweak it more it would be even better.2010-09-15 17:13:00

Thanks a bunch for the critiques! Wow, I can't believe I never thought about the fact that dying in the 2nd section (before completing it) would lead the player back to the first section

The fact that you got as far as you did gives me hope I can make this a more user-friendly level. The last challenge is tough, but if you jump off the board to "brake" it becomes much more simple. I will definitely look into more general tweaks though.

That really sucks you got disconnected! over 2000 is a great score too. Can't wait to get on LBP again to check out everyone's levels and fix mine up a bit.
