Well, it's succinct, that's for sure. Always useful in this busy, high-stress modern world of ours

However, as better graphics have been confirmed, in various ways, i could lock this down. Or i could leave it open for people to discuss in what other ways they would like to see the graphics improved. Let's avoid a falming session here though please

Oh, and moving to lbp2 suggestions, 'cause lbp1 suggestions is pointless imo.

Actually, if any of you have sen the filter materials, they are awesome for reducing graphical fidelity.2010-09-07 01:58:00

Basically, anything behind a filter material will look pixelated/vector/filtered/etc.

Perfect for making dated-looking levels.
Now there just needs to be a LBP1 filter material

I of course have not played the game yet, but judging from the high res images and trailers released, the graphical improment seems to have mostly come from enhanced lighting effects.
Does anyone know if this has actually lead to an increased performance when multiple lightsources are present? This was one of the things that could often cause slowdown/lag in the old game...

And on a similar note; does anyone if the engine has become more efficient at handling several moving objects (e.g. tiny glass pieces to simulate a water wave), leading to less slowdown when a lot of physics calsulations are going on?

Ok, having not read the thread AT ALL... I would like to suggest what I have gleaned from merely skimming the title.. Yes, there will be graphics. Moving on...2010-09-08 08:41:00

they have a retro black and green filter, and I think you will be able to recreate 8 Bit with the holo-material2010-09-08 09:10:00

Judging by Rtm's comment, there may be a filter material with that effect.
We can only hope atm though.
(It would be awesome to see LBP2 in 8 bit!)

There is, I'm pretty sure it's in that long list of new features that we got after the game jam.
