what you think is going to stink in LBP2

We all know LBP2 was looks awsome but in your own opinion what do you think sucks from all the info and about the game .
for me it would be its NOT HERE YET!!!!

For me, I hate the "4x" sections and I know lbp2 is going to have them too.
I find them highly unnecessary and a cheap way to force friends to play. Even worse when they pair it with the 'no addition players' check points. Really? Are new players going to ruin the experience for levels that were designed with 4x bubbles?

It looks nice from what I seen, but another thing is the blurry low res stickers made from the cam. I'm sure lbp2 won't have the import option either.

They don't really impede the game, but they kinda annoy me.

Considering setting sackbots as hostile only makes them get as close to you as they possibly can, i'm guessing it might be hard to make them do EXACTLY what you want. But then again, if you want an army of sackbots to actually properly go hostile, i guess all you have to do is electrify them or something, and maybe use a timer or sequencer to set it on or off if you want that effect.

Personally i'm kinda worried that sackbots won't be able to do much at all outside of cutscenes, because i'm not sure if sackbots are able to just pick up a creatinator and start shooting snowballs at specific targets with a proper aiming system. I mean yeah theres a whole circuitboard (brain) that can be filled with logic, but is there logic that allows a sackbot to even use a creatinator outside of a cutscene? Because we havent seen any sackbots use powerups outside cutscenes, or atleast i don't think we have. And i don't see how we can link logic to a creatinator. Well that was the case in LBP1, but perhaps it's changed in LBP2. But i guess it kind of stinks that i don't know if sackbots will be able to go crazy outside cutscenes, but i guess we have to wait and see

Whats going to stink for me is the flood of noobs that stay around for a platinum and to annoy the real creators, like in LBP1

Well my main problem is that in LBP 1
There are a lot of suckish levels that have like 10k plays
And some amazing levels just have a tiny bit of plays
So what im saying is that if this happens in LBP 2
That would really suck!!!

I agree. I hate "4x" sections, not everyone plays online and it's just cheap to withheld prize bubbles from loners.
Punishing players just because they play on their own is NOT the way to go. That is exactly the reason I want a cheat code to unlock 100% prizes. Or as paid DLC like in Rag-Doll Kung Fu.

I'm not keen on x2 / x3 / x4 sections.

I mean, I can get them, but I like to play through the game alone at least once, and it's annoying to know I can't get everything when I first play through

How people will still copy levels and publish them as their own, make a bunch of account to upload more garbage, and how whenever a new level idea comes up, there'll be hundreds more levels "inspired" by the original and make it hard to find a decent one.2010-09-07 19:50:00

Yeah, that would be awesome.
I don't think it would be too complex to understand though.
I find keyframes/flash easy, yet some logic hurts my brain.

The rest of the issues mentioned in this thread don't really worry me. Controlling sackbots will be a nice challenge, and I have high hopes for the new ways to find cool content.

I think of that as just another fun challenge. It makes me think of how to build games that don't rely on the player having to save their progress.

Sure, there are work-arounds, and I enjoy a challenge as much as the next person. In fact, one of my active projects concerns a LBP2 RPG, and I won't let the absence of a persistence tool stop me. But RPG's are almost by definition games that rely on saving progress (how many RPG's are finishable in one play session?), so when Mm predicted RPG's appearing in LBP2 I was expecting some support there.2010-09-08 14:21:00

Personally I'm hoping they improve the photo feature. The photos in LBP1 looked pretty awful... and with LBP.me coming, it really would be great if we could get nicer images out of the game.

What I'm afraid of is what we might be able to do with the new tools like MIDI music and stuff. I'm hoping the limitations are the same as lbp1 music, and you'll have the ability to do stuff such as change the BPM, make certain parts play and certain parts not play, and pretty much anything you can do on LBP1. For example, I'm working on a Rock Band project. When you miss a note, it will mute the guitar track but keep the other tracks playing.

I think I'm going to miss hacky creative ways around stuff to do something, that is, if they start making new tools for every single feature. That's the fun part of LBP.

i still have not gotten everything in LBP because of the 4X sections, everytime i've tried i end up with numpties that mess it up and we need to restart. or they break something forcing us to restart....>

i for one would happily pay a fiver to unlock everything in LBP1 before LBP2 comes out.

im gonna say somthing right now.

it is not a good thing to say somthing is going to go wrong with the game, before it even comes out. thats like saying a game is bad before the demo comes out.

honestly, if there are no h4h'ers, continuous bomb survival/ train survival/ sharck survival/ any survival levels, "not really trolling" trolls, and fake/ misleading levels out there out there, then the game will be perfect.

i disagree. people are much more creative than that on lbp (unless they are a h4her). i believe that people with use them beautifully and creatively.

like me, im going to use them to dominate lbp, how creative am i?
