http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy168/Asbestos101/APhoto_59.jpgAs the most punishing Aerostation yet, the Endurance Edition pits competitors against an ever changing, endless obstacle course.

This is a 1 PLAYER SURVIVAL and I rate it's difficulty as Hard to Very Hard.

Some tips for success;

-Don't rush forwards as fast as you can, you'll probably end up in the left hand gas, you're probably better off waiting in the middle to right hand area so you can see whats coming.

-A lot of segments allow you to skip sections of them in favour of getting ahead, you won't get all the points from a given segment but surviving for longer means you will have chances to earn more in other segments.

This is the last Aerostation level i'm going to make, if you wish to play the more standardised Race variants (as opposed to survival here (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=17699-The-2026-Aerostation-Project) and here (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=26460-The-2099-Aerostation-Project-Mars) are the links to them.

If you are having trouble getting very far in this level, they will probably serve as good training, as I have carried across a couple of popular obstacles to the new one.

Lets get F4Fing

This one is more than up for a fight.

29k is the score to beat, I was on a particularly good streak though.

You do have to be really super careful to not get too far ahead, that's a big killer.

Another fun and challenging level from Asbestos101. The obstacles of the AeroStation Project as always is a daredevil challenge to see how long can you survive and how many points to collect. Awesome job. 5 stars and a heart.2010-09-07 02:02:00

hehe I just gave this a good 20 playthroughs lol, and will probably be back for more Awesome! Very fun level lol, I'm amazed at the diversity of the platforming and it looks great too. the randomization of the sections is fantastic, It makes replays fun instead of being a chore, going through the same section over and over. I do have some tips and opinions however, if you want to hear em

I think the back gas wall should be moved further away. I say this because, as you say above, its dangerous to get too close to the front. but the problem for me was that some obstacles, almost span the entire distance between the two gas walls, making it really, really tough to avoid the running into the front one. Moving the back wall further away wouldn't take away from the challenge but allow the players to experience more of the obstacles, imo.

theres also a really weird glitch with the paint gun sections in which you shoot the activating switch and the platform your standing on only flips you up like 2 feet. This almost always happened to be the first time, then on the 2nd hit i would go the proper height. I think its something you might want to look at

Finally, some camera angles are a bit wonky. I don't know how you could fix this because I think the problem exists due to the randomization. but yeah, there was one or two points where i had to jump without being able to see ahead of me.

Besides that Its a fantastic survival challenge, and I think you've got a great chance of winning yourself a crown Good luck!

Thats not a bad idea actually, i'll need to look into the rules of the LBL 4 in 1 though, if I can republish today then i'll look at that later (got to go into town in an hour or so). Don't know why I didn't think of that tbh.

Grr, it's so annoying! Genuinely I have no idea how to fix this, it feels cheap to get killed by it and it really infuriates me that the physics won't allow jump pads on a conveyor belt like that.

Finally, some camera angles are a bit wonky. I don't know how you could fix this because I think the problem exists due to the randomization. but yeah, there was one or two points where i had to jump without being able to see ahead of me.
The camera angles are affixed to the emitted sections themselves, and unfortunatly without undoing about 80% of the level, I am unable to edit these now I can tweak the red gas areas however, so thats something i'm definatly going to look into.

Besides that Its a fantastic survival challenge, and I think you've got a great chance of winning yourself a crown Good luck!
We can only hope

Okay, I played the level and here's what I thought.

Well, Asbestos was right. This was definitely the most challenging of all the Aerostation levels, I loved how this time you added red laserbeams infront and in back making sure you don't go too fast or too slow. Although when grabbing onto the circle swinging down, most of the time it would just fall and wouldn't swing me forward but that's probably just because of how fast I went. Also, I liked how you'd have it randomized like in the beginning whether the part where you swing comes or to shoot the moving piece to get bounced up. But when shooting the thing that bounces you up it once bounced me up too high making me shoot into the gas above so if I were you I'd make the gas higher. But don't get me wrong, there's still a lot of fun gameplay like the platforms flying up and down, all the swinging and more, lots of unique gameplay in there. I didn't get to the end, probably not even close, but it was a ton of fun. I gave it :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3 Great job!

No paragraphs scare I!

And yeah, lol, this is a survival challenge for the LBL 4 in 1 thingy, so there is no end as such!

The music does change though, the longer you stay alive until calming back down at the scoreboard. Whilst your still running, if the strings come in then you're doing very well indeed.

Oh man is this level insanely hard, in a good way! The visuals were very fitting! I like the blend of the mechanical platforms and the green background above the clouds. Gameplay was the thing that got me. It was a great challenge for me, but I couldn't stand how many times it automatically layer shifted me into death. I think I did fairly well, getting in the 5,000s points I believe. With all the different obstacles, I loved how the level is really never the same every time you play!2010-09-12 03:33:00

Very addictive level Asbestos, I had a lot of fun with this! This was a clever survival-challenge,it felt fresh and new. The visuals were simple but had a nice impact on the level. Nice work, I rated the level :star::star::star::star::star:. 2010-09-12 18:47:00

Hey, really nice level you have here. I played it many times; still didn't beat it..I ended up giving it :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3.

I had a lot of fun playing it. I don't really have anything bad to say but I can think of two things you might be able to improve on. It just got a little tedious running to get the gun then back to shoot the thing. Also maybe describe your different set ups you have i.e. have a chat box say" shoot through two levels to unlock a harder setting ." or something to that effect.

I would appreciate some feedback on my level Farmageddon!(Survival Challenge) Thanks!

My only suggestion would be to ease up of the difficulty. Have you ever considered making an aerostation that lets the player have more than one life? As restarting gets rather annoying after a while. This would definitely net you my level heart at least.

I agree with Hamsalad about the start. In any type of survival, the beginning should be as streamlined as possible.
At the moment, you have to run backwards, get the gun, run fowards, manually switch layers (never good) shoot backwards, -then- you can start the level.
I would prefer a simple red button.
Didn't get far, but far enough to notice the randomisation which is always a bonus.

Well, I've been waiting so long to give this a go! Now that I've had the chance to play it I'd advise you to get a cup of tea; this could take a while.

Aerostation is without a doubt my favourite series on LittleBigPlanet. It takes a lot to get me to play a level more than once, three plays is a great level. You, on the other hand, keep me glued to the TV for hours. i have no doubt that altogether I have played those levels over a hundred times. You're just what LBP needs; good, solid, no-nonsense gameplay. These levels are completely based around the gameplay; you've built awesome obstacles and then strung them together in a sort of gameshow format. This was executed perfectly, what with the Chug ads and cameras you've properly built a world! With very little effort too, others have to work hard to try and get a theme going. It's the seemingly effortlessness of it all that draws you in.

Needless to say, this was tough. You really have to push yourself with this one, since there's no finish line I just decided to aim for the Top 10. It's sort of my thing you see; I simply couldn't let this level go by without getting onto the Leaderboard, since I managed 4th on Aerostation Mars. Eventually I managed 7th place, I think I'll leave it at that, otherwise I'll never get my levels built! xD

My brother was there and he was somewhat bemused by my determination. "I have to get onto that scoreboard!" I insisted. I'm on the leaderboard for the other two, it'd me blasphemy not to manage it here! Once I'd hit 7th I decided to show off my top spots: 4th on Mars, and on the first one... I think it was around the 4 thousand mark. Oops!

And once more, you captivated me. You have the most amazing way of just pushing me, I rarely try to get onto Leaderboards, it's such a pain! But with Aerostation... It's fun. Perfect, blissful fun. The enjoyment factor you've created is unparalleled, I love racing through at top speed, I love swearing profusely at the telly when thwarted by a seemingly easy jump. I love that feeling when I rocket through the finish line at top speed.

So how do you think I felt when I hit 2nd place? You may have been wondering why the heck I wrote this massive pointless rant. Several reasons:

-To thank you for making the best level series on LBP.
-To explain the enjoyment you've given me.
-To point out that I beat YOUR score in the first level. 8D I'm sorry, I simply couldn't resist.

Ok, sorry about that! xD Now I guess I should actually give my feedback on THIS level!

Well, it was great fun as the other ones were. I think what I liked is fairly apparent from above, so I'll leav some constructive criticism:

You know the obstacle with the layerswitch ladder and the grabby thing that goes down glass? If I'm perfectly honest, it sucks. It pains me to say something bad about this level, but I really, REALLY hated this thing;
First off the glass is pretty ugly and doesn't fit in with the level in my opinion. But the main problem was it really doesn't work properly. Seriously, the shape of the track is all wrong. If you simply pull it to the left hitting X it doesn't go down the track, it sort of takes flight and drops straight down into the curve below. Then you're screwed.
If you slow things down then it goes down too slow and once you get to the bottom you have no momentum and once again you're stuck. Also, more often than not it just took you into the red light.

It probably sounds a bit unfair on my part to give out like this, but whether you made it or not COMPLETELY relied on what obstacle was next. And I played this level at least 50 times; I made it past this obstacle once. I personally think the most fair thing to do would be to scrap it. You have plenty more great things to fill up the level!

:star::star::star::star::star:<3 And a Creator <3! You rule!
