Hey Boss,

First of all, I would like to apologize for my colleagues' laziness because that was the sole reason this prologue level came out late, leaving your other potential minions in the dark. But please don't punish us all: Taffey was the worse offender, so whip him. Thank you for your greatness.

As for the level, I really liked it, but being as epic as this project will be, I wished we could have done more. Originally, we had planned to animate the logos and add a few gameplay elements here and there, but after transferring all our logos and objects into one level, we were really short on thermo. CyberSora's logo took up the most thermo, so please teach him a valuable lesson.

I must say that my favorite parts were the third silhouette and the jeffcu28 logo...I think they were the best in the entire level. For those alone, I gave it 5:star:s and a level and author <3. I only wish the other PSN logos were as good, but again, some minions are just lazy. I wonder why you thought they were qualified for this job...

I lied, no detailed review. You have amazing corner editing skills!! And how'd you make those hoarder eyes?!? I'm jealous and very confused right now. At the end, you named a lot of great creators here a lbpc, I'm not sure if I missed something, but are they helping you make this series? O_o I guess I need to read more of your threads... I knew there were a lot of great talents behind this, but I never imagined there would be that many involved!!

Just use a random sticker, if there isn't any stickers in the switches section, it may mean that any sticker can activate it.

I figured it out!!!

put a mask on the patch of floating grass below the dessolve.

I found a character with a top hat and a black shirt.

There is a ton of stuff made in black material(like the background of the teasers). One of them is a shoe house with a little castle tower hanging off of it. 		2010-09-06 17:55:00

Alrighty, time to do some replies:



Not sure on this yet. I was quite hyped for it... seems a bit of a let down. But I bet the proper levels will be amazing considering this is just like a teaser sort of thing.

I know for a fact that the level had 100% thermo. I can certainly understand how you may have wanted more platforming (with VelroJonze on the team), vehicle magic (with Salieri on the team), art (with Jeffcu28 on the team), etc... and just having a level where you basically run straight through with no challenge could have been a let down.

However, the whole point of the level was to give a tiny, itsy-bitsy taste of what is to come in a giant project, and the little hints as well as other things just ate the thermo up. For instance, I know for a fact that my sig alone in the level took up a decent chunk of thermo (I had to capture it in 3 parts just to send it to the publisher of the level!!!), and there were well over 10 of them to add. And on top of that, those amazing silhouettes were thermo eating!

I assure you that we will not be consuming large chunks of thermo on something like a sig in future levels, and the whole point of this level was to get those out there so we didn't need to worry about it later. I'm guessing that the sigs may have used up 50% to 70% of the thermo, so just keep that in mind :-)

Trust me, you should be excited for the levels which are coming up :-) I know that I have something for the levels which I am very excited about...

I'm guessing that this info will never be given out because it doesn't matter since this is a team effort. I will tell you that I did not start it, but I was involved in very early stages. The bulk of the input for how the project will play out was added once the team was established, so it shouldn't matter to anyone who started it unless you want to praise them for their brilliant idea once you have enjoyed the project.


3. Who made the epic posters?

I'm not sure if this is a secret or not, so I will not say anything. However, I think that if you look at the names of all those involved, and think really hard about it, then one of you brilliant detectives can probably figure it out


4. How long ago did the project start?

It's been long enough that we've been able to cook up some amazing stuff for the project.


1. Long term members should be able to contribute more than short term or less known creators.

I'm not sure if this will be very relevant once you see how we will handle the aspect of having the rest of the community contribute. It's a good thought and I see where you are coming from, but I think/hope that we are already making this sort of thing less of a problem by how we are approaching it.


2. Creators could be nominated to create for the project, but strictly no n4n.

I envision that approach getting pretty ugly pretty fast because people would be getting people to nominate them and we'd have back room deals going on and we'd have to shift Taffey over from project member to project police, and trust me, you don't want to be doing a back room deal when Taffey comes bursting in dressed like a Platformeranian!

On a more serious note: I don't think that this will be an issue because of how we plan on having all of this work :-)


3. People should stop making pleas and wait until you have the chance.

Are you saying that people should stop asking to be in the projects? If that is what you are saying then I completely agree. Asking to be in the project will get you nowhere with the current plans that we have. Everyone will be given an equal opportunity, and it will not be based off of how nice you are to us, but feel free to be nice anyway


4. Everyone should have a turn to create, rather then a big jumble.

Are you referring to the current team, or to new members coming it? Anyway, this has been a topic that has been looked into a lot for the Kindred Team and we think/hope we have it all figured out. For the Team it should not be a problem at this point because we have had a lot of good chats about it. As for including the rest of the community, I am not to worried about that either. Out approach should keep it from causing the chaos that you are worried about.

For one, thanks for the short video capture of Destiny and A Dingo Down Under in that video, those are the only two video clips that have been made of those :-) On another note, thanks for the video as a whole! "Prologue" was our, the Kindred Team's, first level actually done. We haven't made anything else besides that. Most of our time was consumed by story planning and basic structure of the level landscape. Building the level was faster than the rest. To your question, we've done zero levels excluding prologue. :/

Actually, I need to ask the Kindred team because I'm not 100%... I'm not saying the whole pack in one time, but I'm not sure if it's tribe by tribe. :/

Awesome! I finally got around to playing this and it looks fantastic! And I really loved the signatures at the end. I actually had been working on one myself, now I won't be as original. I have to say that I am particularly partiel to Salieri's, it is awesome (everyone's signature was awesome).

Okay, sooooooo, here's a little of my information.

There seriously was no Hoarder in the level as far as I know - the thermo was 100%, and he was nowhere to be seen. No one in our group made a sticker hoarder, he's just really there.

I've not done anything other than my signature and contributing ideas, so I can't take credit for the amazing prologue. However, with the next thing being Platformarians... let's just say I've got something planned.

Hey Hoarder!
Ok, this is pretty good for a prologue. You showed only the necessary to keep our atention and that's something good.
And uhhmmm, I really don't know if I'm here for giving "feedback", because it would be like writing a critique from a movie synopsis...so, I'm here to say only that I'm so excited for this project and of course, I'm sure that this will be EPIC.
However, I can see future levels with amazing corner edit, a well-made story, beautiful visuals and of course, an excellent and funny gameplay.
Good luck to all those who are behind this project, I'm sure that it will be more than we expect.
