I just played this level, and I have to say, very nice job, the secnery design in this level was exellent, and I like the way you added in the secret little... things whith the prize bubbles, the boss also had some very nice logic behind it, and well the whole level had some good gameplay, this oughta get spotlighted! :star::star::star::star::star: <3 | 2010-09-05 17:57:00 Author: Merc Posts: 2135 |

A very beautiful and fun level. I’m afraid I don’t know the original Nightopia game at all so I am not the best person to be commenting on the level. However, I still enjoyed playing it enormously. The look of the level was great – it had a real fantasy world feel to it – the colours(vivid greens and blues for the most part) and lighting were beautiful – luminous almost. There was quite a bit of lag but it actually added to the otherworldliness as you felt like you were floating and almost flying at times. The Nights character was a great addition to the level. It was a nice touch to be flown around by her instead of a jetpack and I loved the glowing trail of sparks she left. I enjoyed the gameplay too although I was a little nonplussed at times. The level is a race which tends to encourage linear progression to achieve a fast time but there seemed to be lots of tempting diversions that I wanted to explore and where I met strange small creatures. I wasn’t sure if I was meant to be “collecting” these guys or whether they were enemies or not. Anyway again this all just added to the strangeness of the adventure. The large hoops and the jumps for the bubble combos were fun. The boss was different too – never fought an egg-timer before , lol! And those platforms above him were tough (for me anyway!). I am definitely going to have to explore this level more as i feel I only scratched surface. :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3 | 2010-09-06 19:04:00 Author: shropshirelass Posts: 1455 |

I really liked that you talked about the double gameplay approach without knowing Nights! In the original game was possible play it in a invisible rail line flying race as Nights (the purple jester) trying to do the best time/score or play it as the dreamer (the kids) walking around exploring the world Glad you noticed it, it mean that i've done something good :hero: | 2010-09-07 12:14:00 Author: GEK83 Posts: 163 |
this was great, you got the look perfect, and the sense of exploring detours. i wouldda loved a jetpack mounted nights cutout, where you fly through the rings too - the way you did those was very nice... looked very round for this game. cool boss design too. man, i want my saturn out of storage now so i can play x-mas nights, guardian heroes, legend of oasis, dragon force, three dirty dwarves, and dark savior. get castle crashers if you haven't... it feels like a saturn game. | 2010-09-07 17:16:00 Author: Unknown User |

Fixed some minor things Next fix to do: put gas in the water right before the boss add adjust the water button on the final battle Oh,and i understand that i said a stupid things: when i put in prizes Nights will be the reward for 100% objects... Ace is not possible in this level, there are 2 death-teleport! I was thinking to put a prize right after the finish race gate, whit a cage that come down over it after xxxxx seconds. Basically in that way to obtain 100% it must play it at least 2 times: one time exploring and finding all nightopians and one other finishing the level under a precise time limit! | 2010-09-10 11:54:00 Author: GEK83 Posts: 163 |
Okay I played the level and here's what I thought. I loved the old game feel to this level, I don't know if there's a game called Nights into Dreams but this felt like there was. Although it was pretty laggy it was pretty fun to play through plus I really liked the rings you go through for more points, genius. The detail was great and the boss battle was okay although when playing with my friend I don't know exactly how it happened but when defeating the boss the girl came down and you had to grab her hand. But after trying to, she broke. So we couldn't make it to the end Overall though, it's a great level and I'd love to see what happens after that :star::star::star::star: and a <3 | 2010-09-11 02:50:00 Author: Dragonvarsity Posts: 5208 |
Reserved for F4F feedback from my level; Crazy Canyons. EDIT: Played it! Heres what i thought of it: -Great atmosphere! Loved the floating grass parts! - When you take nights hand to fly, It was really cool! - Creative spawns for the majority of the grass platforming sections looked awesome! -VERY hard. I had gone through more than 20 lives. -Boss was well made, but it kept killing me when i was trying to enter back into the fighting area after I died. Overall, 4 stars! Great level! Keep working on your skills! | 2010-09-11 15:29:00 Author: grayspence Posts: 1990 |
Thanks for the feedback of "The Hero Chronicles LV7 Dragon Ruins" [Well actually I played this level about 12 hours before you sent a feedback to that level]. The floating islands looked fantastic and the gameplay is great. The boss battle is outstanding too. I recommend this to fans of "Nights". 5 stars. | 2010-09-11 18:50:00 Author: JustinArt Posts: 1314 |
Hey I just got done playing your level and I was very impressed. It looks amazing, I never played the game so I can't say how close it looks to the original, but I love the look and use of the garden background theme. One of my favorite parts was all of the different creatures you used, they all looked amazing. I ran out of time on the race before I was even halfway through the level, mainly because of how vast the terrain is. I saw in one of the other posts that one element of the game was exploring the terrain and there was tons of that in your level. Each section seemed to have multiple ways to go about it, plus lots of cool side areas to explore. There was some slow down at certain points, but I guess that is to be expected whenever there is so much detail in the environment. The spinning grabbable triangles part was really tough, it was one of the few parts that I had real trouble with. The boss fight was cool, very challenging. During the boss fight and I think it happened at another spot too, there were some magic mouths that closed immediately so I couldn't read them. I know one of them was after the barrier is destroyed to the right of the boss, but since the character was usually grabbable, I just figured it probably said something about grabbing on. Really fun, lots to do, cool creatures, awesome boss fight, 5 stars!!! | 2010-09-11 20:32:00 Author: Unknown User |
Okay, just mentioned this and Rocket Knight Adventures on my blog. Great job | 2010-09-13 15:34:00 Author: Dragonvarsity Posts: 5208 |
Very fun level. I loved the visuals and the enemies. The score rings were also very cool, and I liked the multiple secret areas to seek out for extra points. I recorded a video of the level: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y478ixRzlg4 Cool stuff, :star::star::star::star::star: and <3'd. | 2010-10-03 20:09:00 Author: Gilgamesh Posts: 2536 |
