How to move a wheel like this...

Archive: 6 posts

Hello.
I want to make my own keyroom. The question is:
I use a wheel with numbers.
I want to move the wheel like this: If you grab an object, the wheel mooves one position (one number more)

HOW TO MAKE THAT??

Thanks.

I guess you should make a timer* which is set to a small amount of time. The wheel is turned on by the piston(no comments on that -_-) and it turns just enough so it goes to the next number.

Hope it helped. If you still don't understand. I could make a tutorial.

*a block of dark matter with another block with a space between the two. A block of glass on a piston, the piston is set to the required speed. using magnetic switches, it means when the glass meets the dark matter the timer starts. when it reaches its starting position again it stops.
difficult to understand I know

I don't think we have something that advanced, to make it rotate step to step :/ Unless someone has made some really funky wobble thing.

That is, if what you are aiming at is a contraption sort of clock-like which snaps to the next number for each time you grab. It would then heavily relay on that no lag would happen I also think, so that would be a bummer :/

Go to incinerator22's logic showcase level to get an incremental bolt, that's basically what you are looking for, all you need to do is add the numbers.2010-09-05 15:03:00
