PS3 Still Lacks Private Chat

Archive: 7 posts

I'd love to be able to chat with a friend while playing a game by myself, but for some reason the PS3 still doesn't support it. Why do you guys think that is? It's a great feature, one I use a hell of a lot over Xbox Live and would use just as frequently on PSN. What if, for example, you want to build a level in LittleBigPlanet by yourself but still chat with a friend? So far, you can't do that. I hope they include it in a firmware update soon, because I miss it.2008-08-01 03:34:00

You mean in-game chat? Yeah, that'd be pretty cool.2008-08-01 11:28:00

I think it is over at the official Playstation forums people keep asking for it so hopefully it is in the works and we'll see it soon enough.2008-08-01 16:51:00

If people keep asking, Sony will eventually meet their needs.2008-08-01 17:50:00

First comes Life with Playstation. My guess is that it comes out either in a FW update or PS download next week or the week after. I wouldn't be shocked if they were already working on this. They respond very well to consumers' complaints.2008-08-01 18:24:00

I'm pretty sure 'Life with playstation' hasn't even been mentioned in Europe. We don't have the movie download thing yet either
