Badges and Keys

Does anyone know if Level Link badges can be locked until acquiring the appropriate key?

This would really help with level series (A main hub where new levels can be unlocked after completing the previous level.)

I don't know if it has been answered before. I bet level linkers could be activated by switches though. You could always move it down with a piston like a checkpoint. 2010-09-04 00:53:00

^But the thing is. I'm thinking of a way so that everytime you beat a level from the hub (THe level would contain a key in the end) that you could return to the hub and the new level would be there and ready to go.

And I'm pretty sure that you can't transfer inputs between levels.

That would be good... (though my Keys won't work! ), and very reasonable... it just might be included...
Much more "elegant" than Sticker Switches. Though they both do the job.

Hmm, I changed my options so I don't collect community prizes (cuz there is much trash around) and it happened that suddenly the key-sticker fell right on my head - and I didn't collect it -.- and also didn't want to repeat the whole level... or to change my options every time a key-sticker is found -.-

I would like to have keys for level-links, too^^ would be much easier^^

Are you asking how to make a level unplayable until you beat the previous level, and this be ran through a hub level (like super mario bros.)? I have thought about it, and it seems like the best way to accomplish this would be to use sticker switches. But than you still have that level open outside of the hub level. That means if someone wants to play the next level without beating the previous one, all you need to do is search the level name, and that defeats the purpose. Maybe a combination of hidden keys and badges?

Since you can already do this with levels in LBP1, I doubt it won't be included in LBP2 (the key unlocks, that is).2010-09-08 02:24:00

I meant for level links. If you can put keys in levels for other levels in LBP1, why wouldn't they allow the same thing, but with the level link feature?

Although, it would be nice if you can set it so the a level is locked, but you can access it through a level link, so that people don't play series out of order.
