I reccomend Monster Pack. (Horror)
Its stickers/ decos, sound effects, and materials are better (most) if you ask me.

I would lean toward the monster pack (http://www.littlebigplanet.com/en-gb/game_guide/ps3/downloadable_content/monsters_level_kit/). The background (cave) is great, has a pretty good variety of scenery and can handle various moods very well by adjusting the lighting/fog. It has really good decos, including monster eyes and horns, but also including a really useful bolt deco and nails and stuff. The sound effects are pretty good too, though they're most suited for horror themes (the ghostly train works great for non-ghostly trains, too, though). I think the eggshell wood material comes in it: it's got a good texture that I really like sometimes (I can't remember what other materials come with it). That said, I've never had a use for the music, any of the stickers or other materials, or most of the other decos.

The history kit (http://www.littlebigplanet.com/en-gb/game_guide/ps3/downloadable_content/history_level_kit/) is pretty good too. A lot of people put the chinese bell object to good use (along with the bell sound), and the music is one that I can actually use in a level. The background is decent though I've never made a level that it was suited for, and it has some good sounds too (I especially like the ticking clock, sword draw, and time machine warp sounds). I'm not partial to any of the materials and I've rarely used any of the decos but it's got some good stickers for architectural type work.

It really depends on what you like to create. I chose monster pack because I love to make moody enviroments. While, others may choose the history pack because they love to make historic, or levels with arcitecture. Its really your own prefference. Although, Monster pack is the way to go first i your getting both eventually. It also has an amazing showcase level. Which, In case you didnt know, you have to play to get everything.2010-09-04 14:17:00

I would say to pick the one which you think would be most needed before the other dlc pack. For me I bought the Monster pack before the History because I knew that it was most needed at the time for me.2010-09-04 16:41:00

Personally, I think you should buy the monster pack. I bought the history kit a while ago and really wished I hadn't. I've never once used anything from the history kit (apart from the time warp sound.)

I think the monster kit it has a much wider, diverse and useful range of stuff (especially stickers and decorations). Also loads of people have got it and use it in their objects that they give away as prises. Which is really good if you wanna look at someone's logic for a vehicle say that uses the said pack for example.

I'd go with the monster pack if I were you

I'd have to go with the Monster Pack. I love the background that it gives you, the materials are great, i use the sound effects all the time, and the stickers and decorations are great too.

Oh, and Part Ghouls is, in my opinion, one of the best track in the game. Tons of versatility.

monster - great background. stickers good for character making. 'fun' music'

history - good scenery stickers, good for buildings, 'dramatic' music, some useful decorating objects

I guess it depends if you are a character maker or a scenery maker. That would be how I would make the choice.
The monsters bkgd is probably one of the most common used though - thats a big factor. Of course - if your levels are all buildings, you wouldnt use it anyway.

I prefer the monster pack.
It depends if you like architecture or monsters.
