Well after seeing to many 18+ Videos a virus pops up...
I had to use AntiMalware Software to take it down... it was a huge pain.
But seriously, who puts viruses on a GTA IV Walkthrough.

Swine flu. My background for the PC screen became a bit sloggy for some days but it did not do more than that and then it went away like it never happened... Just like the human one.2010-09-03 20:43:00

well like um yeha there was this hyuje virus thingy on my compuuter!!! and like it woudnt let meh start any progroms but then i got malwearbites anti malwear and it made it go away!! XD

But seriously, it was annoying. It was one of those fake antivirus things that would make fake virus messages that would go away if you paid 100 dollars for their "program".

What's the point of all of these threads? There's like twenty of them... There isn't much to really discuss with them either...

Can somebody just make one thread to group all of these under? Or am I missing the "bigger picture"?

No, seriously. If I'm missing the bigger picture, post away... But, I don't get it right now.

Is it firefox ?

No seriously, I find that a lot of internet browsers are leaky and evil...

(not that this is a problem limited to firefox, oh no)

I am using Norton AntiVirus 2010..It is a very impressive security solution, offering a full range of robust features and a completely new approach to online security. Norton Antivirus solution remains an excellent and well-rounded security for end users. We believe that Norton is moving in the right direction by using the data submitted by its user community to analyze threats. I think you should go for it..2010-09-06 08:36:00

What makes you say that?

Because there are about 492380123 more computers running windows and naturally more people making malware for them.2010-09-06 09:53:00

Not really, a significant percentage of the population uses a Linux variant at least.

You can never really assume entirely accurately when it comes to people.

I hope you're joking? norton is a virus by itself...it's a complete ***** to uninstall too, symantec even had to make a tool for it.

My virus story actually relates to Norton. It somehow forced its way onto my computer, and for 6 months after that, it would randomly freeze up. Then, it would get a blue screen every once in a while, and then, my hard drive failed. Although, I'm not too sure it was a virus, but it only started happening after Norton reached its way on my computer.2010-09-06 15:50:00

Change all of your account information. Recovery questions, etc...

Also, you should probably attempt to remove all malware on your computer before doing this.

According to my last count, I have been 100 000 000 visiter 24 times so far on this one website. XD Seriously, you would think virus advert makers would have more brains.

I have a mac, so I am not as at risk as I could of been. On the old computer I lost all my itunes account stuff. But thanks to some neat programs on my new one I could get most of them back off my ipod, but I still lost ?10 worth.
