Zombie Apocalypse Defence (Arcade)

Zombie Apocalypse Defence (Arcade)Struanmd
My first "Super - Logic" level. THis game resembles The Last Stand flash game. Survive as long as you can from waves of zombies! Beware, they're after you!
[div=padding-top:10px;]Who loves Zombies? Who loves arcade games? Who loves mindless shooting?!
If any of those apply to you, this is a game built with you in mind. From Struanmcd comes an (almost) fully functioning arcade game, no platforming at all!

Here's the story:
While at home trying to decipher one of the Hoarder's messages, Sackboy notices how the sky is clouding over, odd as it's in the middle of summer. He peers outside and guess what he saw? That's right! Zombies! He then grabs all the guns in the house and starts pelting them with bullets! Obviously someone doesn't want Sackboy to decipher that code!

Try to overcome the hoards of brainless minions shuffling towards you, and gain the highest score - I dare you!

How to play is simple! Once reading the message, Press R to start the game. Use the Analogue stick to change your position and grab the East wall to shoot the corresponding gun. The longer you play, the harder it gets.

I hope you enjoy this game. I'm sorry but it's a little glitchy and laggy at times, but the amount of logic used is phenomenal.

Please leave a bit of feedback

This is the 1st defence level l've ever enjoyed,l think it's because of the mindless shoting and zombies.Gameplay was nice, although l did have some trouble shooting the laser sometimes,l don't know if it was charging but if it was...it felt kinda random sometimes. You did a great job with the visuals, the houses and streets look very cool and your scoreboard is one of the best l've seen, how did you do that?l don't know how.Anyways,l had a blast with this level and l give you 5 stars and a heart 2010-09-04 14:06:00

Thanks for the feedback! Unfortuantly, its just dumped to 3 stars!
I'll re-publish it tonight and fix everything, but the amount of logic is phenomenal. If you really want to see it, here's how:
When you end the game, instead of dropping off the jet-pack and starting the scoreboard, fly to the right and drop down behind one of the zombies. You can run off the level and there's a cheeky little jet-pack (un-tethered) which will let you explore the mechanics of the level. The lazer is just a pain in the ***! I tried to achieve a "recharge" time, but I feel I failed spectaculary.

Ok! l saw the logic and it was great! The recharge time is a great idea! you should keep trying to make it work how you want too.You didn?t fail spectaculary,it just needs some more work, nobody said you would get everything working perfectly on your first try. This is very good for your first super logic level.2010-09-04 17:33:00

Hi,

I've republished the level to improve it, here's some fixes I have made:
-- The lazer is less buggy, but is still difficult to operate
-- The zombies appear in order, blue, yellow, red then black
-- The gun bullets have more velocity, so they will be less affected by gravity
-- Gun switches have been set to one-shot, they fire as soon as you grab it
-- Life indicator will renew more often
-- Michael Jackson Zombie added (he's three times faster than the red)

The delay logic for the lazer is to the North West of the street, you will have to take the jetpack all the way round. It will be recognised as three logic pistons horizontally, and they are stacked

OK,l downloaded again and l saw the improvements. The shooting is easier, the MJ zombie is cool, his speed made it seem like he was pushing the other zombies saying "l'm the best! get out of my way you zombie no0bs" or something.lt's a good thing you fixed the life indicator.l did have more trouble with the laser,l don't know why,but when you're informed that you can use the laser,l grabed to use it and nothing came out,but the laser indicator dissappears.l don't know if it was just me.5stars n heart2010-09-05 16:21:00

Zombie Apocalypse Defense

First thought just by title name: An awesome Zombie Defense game

Character(s):
Zombies!! - I like how there were different types of zombies. Especially the MJ one.

Visuals:
The visuals were amazing!! The streets and houses were all nicely done. Good job on getting that 3D-ish effect.

Story?:
N/A

Originality:
This was very original! It is a defense level, just like Coxy's but different mechanics. So, this was indeed original in my eyes.

Gameplay:
Great! Different zombies, different speeds, and rising difficulty. What more can you ask for? What!? A laser!? Even better!

Overall Fun Factor:
10/10 - I had a LOT of fun with this level. This had me playing for hours, and I've been having fun with it every play.

Overall Score:
:star::star::star::star::star: and a <3

Thanks for all the feedback
If you have any flash games you would like me to make, PM me.
Be sure to ask me before 30/11/10 because that's when I'm getting a PS3 and LBP2. I'll not be on the PSP as often.
I can make pretty much any 2d (simplish) flash games.
