http://www.ps3fanboy.com/2008/10/23/littlebigplanet-patch-hits-v1-02/ Well all right, so that v1.01 patch didn't fix the "disturbing" lyrics of Toumani Diabat?. What it did instead was tweak some online functionality and at the same time add in some more delightful costumes for sack people. However, v1.02 does remove the controversial lyrics and it's out now for Europe. The v1.02 patch removes all the words from the song "Tapha Niang," leaving the track as a purely instrumental piece. As of yet, the North American version has not been updated -- we've checked, again. But that shouldn't really matter, should it? LittleBigPlanet technically isn't out, right?

which brings out the marvelous question of WHY ISN'T IT STILL COMING OUT TOMORROW!? I'm still agrivated by the whole situation. Apparently, Sony claims that there are people who have PS3s but don't have an Internet connection to get the patch. I find this unlikely, but since unlike the beta you won't have to be online to play the game I can see how this is a valid argument. It's an aggravating situation nonetheless, but it's better than LBP becoming another GTA simply because of one song. Elton

Yeah, it's definitely not available in North America yet. Still, Tapha Niang is a beautiful song, and it will still be that way after the lyrics are gone.
