Fiddle of the Irish

Fiddle of the IrishTheOshenator
This level is in response to people saying I don't put enough detail into my levels. Also I just want to add that it is only short because the thermometer overheated. Enjoy :-)

Well you level was very colorful and detailed, but never saw the Irish fiddle. Liked the lettering at the start, the wavy ground was nice, the springy platform was almost not springy enough to be fun, the ceiling was nice looking (even though I hate any point where sack boy has to hang from teh ceiling in any level I play). The little puzzle with the dropped ball was cool, but it stuck on the upper left corner by where it gets dropped from, and I had to restart...which means I had to do the ceiling hang again, lol. It worked the second time though. The infinate check point right before the puzzle seemed pointless (I tried killing the sackboy off in fun ways after the ball got suck the first time and found I couldn't and had to select restart. After that there was something in the upper top right corner that was a chain and a platform, but I could not get to the top to what looked like it could have been a hanging bridge. I returned back. I did notice below the pink gas I could see a gap in your background below the mlti colored moving platform. The water looked nice with all the colors, but it was on the level floor, which kind of blended in, but still made me say oh, there's the level floor. I liked the look of the level, some of the stickers seemed more like sticker spamming than design. Wished the water area was longer, off the floor, and had more to it.The spinny shooty up thing worked good. Good eye candy level, could use the corner editing in areas, and something more about the Irish Fiddle, seeing as the music was more 1920's swing. 2010-09-04 00:36:00

Nice job here, like the person above me said, I enjoyed the lettering at the start, it was well crafted and I simply love the color orange. The stickers did sometimes feel kinda random, but not enough to take away from the overall experience. The wheel puzzle was my favorite of all other wheel puzzles that I've encountered, it actually felt like a maze, and was pretty challenging too! The water area had some cool lighting, but I suggest trying to hide the lights next time, maybe by putting some shell (or other water-themed) decorations over it or putting them behind the first layer? And usually I complain about people showing the ground, but I don't when it's for under water purposes (the ground looks like a seafloor), for example, X-NOBODY-X did that in one of his levels. The ending was also pretty satisfing for me, I don't know why, but smaller scoreboards always seem to look better. In conclusion, I gave the level :star::star::star::star::star:, keep up the good work!2010-09-04 02:27:00

Thanks very much for both the reviews. They were very helpful :-) I'll get to work on the problem with the puzzle celsus and also theres an infinite life checkpoint near the puzzle because if you fall off the fire jump you go right back to the start without it.
X-FROGBOY-X I'll try to hide the lights but the thermometer is literally one decoration from explosion lol. There are 4 prizes one of which is that lettering and the other three are in the X2 area which you have to find (not hard since theres a sign saying where it is ) I'm glad you enjoyed the puzzle, I knew I was on to a good thing as soon as I started that lol. Thanks very much for the 5 stars.

I should also mention that this level has nothing to do with Fiddles or Irish lol its just the first thing that popped into my head when I tried to think of a name for it.

Looks great but I got stuck from the begining, the jumper didn't make me jump high enough (and I felt into the spikes)
Maybe I missed something

Your supposed to press X just as it launches you so you jump high enough to reach the ceiling.2010-09-04 17:43:00

I had the same problem with the jumper, but I eventually figured it out. I liked the use of stickers.

It wasn't really hard, so a lot of people should be able to finish it.

I'm not sure what this had to do with Irish fiddles though.

I did the jumper thing on purpose lol and as I said, the level has nothing to do with fiddles or irish, that was just the first thing that popped into my head when I tried to think of a name. Thannks for the play :-)2010-09-06 19:04:00
