Wow! Did the oil rig belong to BP? People really need to start caring more about our environment. | 2010-09-02 21:11:00 Author: OK1124 Posts: 126 |

The article says, as I understand it, that the rig was under maintenance and not producing gas or oil at the time. At the time of the article I read, no spill or leak had been detected. I'll be sure to watch the local news tonight. There'll be more info by then. | 2010-09-02 23:08:00 Author: SpeedyMcKnuckles Posts: 331 |
I take solace in the fact that the BP guys "Cleaning up the oil"(Standing around drinking beer on the beach) are only about an hour drive away. *Puts shotgun in truck* ... *waits for more news* | 2010-09-02 23:24:00 Author: Bremnen Posts: 1800 |
Did I mention the open flare was when I was showing off my awesome new collection of candles and that I finally had gotten some firework to use for new year's eve I was carrying? http://www.abercavers.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/502-Firework.jpg | 2010-09-02 23:47:00 Author: moonwire Posts: 1627 |

This is sad. What company maintained this oil rig? I've got to stop going to THEIR gas stations too. | 2010-09-03 13:07:00 Author: Jaslow Posts: 775 |
It was a Mariner Energy rig. Never heard of'em, so it's gonna be hard to boycott. This one really does sound to be much less of an overall disaster, as last I heard there was still no spill detected, fires were put out quickly, and no one died this time. Could it be we're learning? http://www.nola.com/news/gulf-oil-spill/index.ssf/2010/09/oil_rig_explosion_should_be_a.html | 2010-09-03 13:26:00 Author: SpeedyMcKnuckles Posts: 331 |
