2 Words: Global Tool

Archive: 6 posts

Face it: sometimes you really want to add some atmosphere to your LBP levels. You know, change the color of the background, edit lighting options, add fog, turn day into night, and vice versa? Yeah. I've seen levels on Community moon that really need atmosphere tweaking, and I'm not trying to be a burden to Mm, but what I want from those guys more than new DLC, costumes, or even pristine graphics is a global tool. I admit, I don't have a PS3 (yet) or even the PS3 game itself, but I want to have the same experience on PSP. I have many level ideas, but they require a global tool to be the fullest they can be. So please hear me out Mm, please give us a global tool. I'm not asking you for millions of other (some even pointless) features for the game, but just give us that tool and I promise almost everyone will stop getting angry.2010-09-02 01:14:00

Lol For the last time MM dosn't do that kind of thing with the psp lbp, its Sony Cambridge who do the updates/change's!

and yes we all agree but some new backrounds would work too

If they add the global tool its going to make levels more likly to lag and go slow.

Ya know, I think I've figured out why we can't skip the Cambridge logo at the game's start. 2010-09-02 01:50:00

In previous interviews it has been confirmed that fancy lighting will never be available.

However a simple day/night is extremely within reason.

I seriously hope we get so day or night lighting, however a dark think layer at the back has a surprisingly good effect for night time levels. For fog you can always sacrifice the front thin layer too a huge piece of clear glass, perhaps with some fade stickers. The dry ice glitch is good for some mist, but the noise can be annoying...

Atmosphere is hard to do, it would be nice if we had some tools to help with it.
