Burning Island is a medium hard platformer.
Theres lots of points and platforms its very Thermo friendly So please play it! This is my first real platformer and i hope you like it!
The gameplay is based alot around fire. The ending is pretty hard and i will put up more checkpoints at last i hope that i get some good criticism of the level by some good and nice Happy gadders

I enjoyed this level alot. It was challenging and rewarding.

I do agree that more checkpoints are needed. One is needed after the large swinging circles when you reach the steps. It took me a few times to get through it and poof...I fell off the steps into the stupid fire. lol I admit I may not be the best at gliding through a level but when I get past a particular part thats been hard for me its nice to know I have a checkpoint to back me up when I die soon after ( which I will). lol

Also, you might want to consider making your switches stand out a bit more? The area where you have the rising platform and the swing off to the left....the switch is extremely hard to see. I wasnt sure what to do for quite some time and that might pose as a problem for other players who might just give up and not finish the level.

Other than that its very well made and I enjoyed it alot (yeah I know I said that already lol)

I just played your level and heres my feedback:

Positives:
+The level was fun indeed
+Platforming was pretty good
+Music went well with the level
+Visuals looked good
+Obstacles were awesome

I do have a negative for you, even though I think its a very good level. In a word: LIGHTING. I think you should look for places to highlight and spotlight with more lighting. I had a very hard time seeing what I was supposed to see in this, although that is also due to late afternoon sun coming through. Still, a little lighting help could put this over the top.

Also, I got more of a cavern feel than an island feel. I saw the water around, but I don't think that's enough for an island feel to things. Islands are really tough to do well though.

Good platforming though.

Very cool design so far. I may agree with thanatos about the lighting. Things are a little tricky to see.
I always enjoy a good round sponge obstacle
Nice lifting platform
I'm standing on a brown thing supported only by strings!
I wasn't sure what to do here until I saw the score bubbles. Good call.
I'm a little confused on what I'm supposed to do with this swinging platform.
Maybe off the wheel to get it swinging then jump when it's over to the right and high?
That doesn't seem to be working
I think this creepy red face is laughing at my feeble attempts
Oh, I'm blind, there is a switch on the wall.
Again, love the hanging/spinning sponges.
I thought there might be a secret to the right here but it turns out it's just gas. Why have that space if it's just a deadly material?
Ah, now I see.
Man, I didn't see that yellow gas at all. Walked straight into it
Hmm, I died on the pendulum things and ran right from spawn into a gas pit. Might be worth fixing?
Ah, I see what my confusion was. Looks like you can walk further than you can.
I love this pendulum obstacle.
Whew, barely made it. Lava bounce at the end.
Finished pendulums on 4th or 5th attempt. Most deaths on an obstacle yet.
Scoreboard on a platform. Very nice.

I really like this level. The length was good. The spinning/hanging sponges are some of my favorite items to use and you use them well here. I didn't think it was particularly difficult, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Definitely work on the lighting. The pendulum sponges were my favorite, very unique. I don't think you need any more checkpoints (you may have added some more).

I also agree with Thanatos that the level feels more like Burning Cave than Burning Island, but it's a minor point.

Nice! Thanks for the review WampaCow! I fixed the pendulums and there is one more checkpoint on them ill try to make the switch more visible!
