LB2 Question: water tool
Archive: 27 posts
Hello guys! I've got a question: Will water be useable as a tool in LBP2 for the people who didn't buy the LBP1 water pack? | 2010-09-01 18:36:00 Author: Sacktastic 2019 Posts: 13 |
I think the jury is still out on that one tbh. Plus, seeing as most people on this site already own the dlc, not many people really care. It could be you need to buy potc to create with water in lbp2, or maybe they'll give you the tools but you have to pay to play the levels and have the materials. | 2010-09-01 18:40:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
well, In the story levels (at least in the ones I played) water and paintinator weren't used.. So rtm223 should really be right there... | 2010-09-01 19:38:00 Author: Spikeball Posts: 74 |
I highly doubt they will just give you this in LBP2. You'll have to purchase the DLC first, so that it transfers over to LBP2... | 2010-09-01 20:18:00 Author: Unknown User |
Hmm, i think there have already been a few threads asking this question, and i think that one of them said that we wouldnt need the pack to use water, but it would be needed for the materials and stuff, so yes, rtm is right. Also, is there going to be a tool that allows you to make water guns and stuff? i think i saw something like that in a video. | 2010-09-01 20:21:00 Author: Merc Posts: 2135 |
I honestly hope it's just like it is now. You can play any levels with PotC or MGS items, but to create with them you need to buy first. I guess it would be nice if Media Molecule included both or just water free though. Doesn't effect me since I've already bought it... | 2010-09-01 20:25:00 Author: VnGamer234 Posts: 111 |
Also, is there going to be a tool that allows you to make water guns and stuff? i think i saw something like that in a video. I heard about something like this to. They said you could emit water, but I don't know if they are talking about the destruction affect or the material itself... | 2010-09-01 20:26:00 Author: Unknown User |
In the latest create mode gameplay, the player had no LBP1 DLC, but they had access to water switches. So it will most likely become part of LBP2's content. I heard about something like this to. They said you could emit water, but I don't know if they are talking about the destruction affect or the material itself...Water droplets. well, In the story levels (at least in the ones I played) water and paintinator weren't used.. So rtm223 should really be right there...There have actually been screenshots and video of water in the story levels. | 2010-09-01 22:05:00 Author: Tyler Posts: 663 |
This would be such a ripoff for the people who bought the PotC and MGS packs because of the people who might get them free with LBP2... Anyway, LBP2'ers could make there own plasma ball and paintinator.... Ripoff for us already! | 2010-09-01 22:15:00 Author: Super_Clone Posts: 849 |
Water droplets. Yup and I agree with Super_Clone if they just hand out the water tool to whoever buys LBP2 I'll be mad. That means I payed for the PotC pack AND LBP2 when others only had to purchase the game (I am not sure sony would even allow this) . Besides any tools in the create mode seen in the alpha beta won't be there immediately. Some might require you to play story mode or tutorials, or maybe buy the dlc. I am just saying what's in the gameplay we saw earlier may not be what we are getting... | 2010-09-02 03:41:00 Author: Unknown User |

This would be such a ripoff for the people who bought the PotC and MGS packs because of the people who might get them free with LBP2... Anyway, LBP2'ers could make there own plasma ball and paintinator.... Ripoff for us already! Not at all... Firstly, you got up to a year / 2 years out of those tools for the additional payout. Second you got a selection of bonus levels that will not be bundled with LBP2, third you got an absolute tonne of create mode assets that will not be bundled with LBP2.... Even if the paintgun, paintswitch, global water control and water switch are all bundled with LBP2, there is still 99% of what is in the DLC packs that isn't. And if you're gonna get upset about something so minor... Well, good luck to you, is all I can say | 2010-09-02 10:03:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
Hello guys! I've got a question: Will water be useable as a tool in LBP2 for the people who didn't buy the LBP1 water pack? if you want water and cant afford it then go ask a friend if he has th potc pack and play the first lvl | 2010-09-02 11:06:00 Author: majormel84 Posts: 398 |
^ What would THAT help? ^ | 2010-09-02 11:27:00 Author: Unknown User |
It gives you access to the water control sliders in the global settings. It does not give you access to the global water tool or water switch or anything else from PotC. | 2010-09-02 11:43:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
ZOMG, Mm fael? | 2010-09-02 11:46:00 Author: Unknown User |
There have actually been screenshots and video of water in the story levels. May I have the link? | 2010-09-02 18:42:00 Author: Spikeball Posts: 74 |
That would be a really good idea, considering that in LBP 1, you could only raise the water level from the ground up. It would be better if you could capture water as an object (from there, you could emit the water and make waterfalls, for instance). | 2010-09-02 19:01:00 Author: OK1124 Posts: 126 |
Theres an interview with alex evans where he says you get all the dlc even if you didnt buy the first game. theres a thread somewhere EDIT: here it is, at 5:45 he talks about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfP6N8TLqos | 2010-09-02 19:33:00 Author: artise Posts: 353 |
ALL OF YOU ARE CONFUSED its a animated material there are no splashes and its solid so you cant swim in it I hope this helps because if people have saved money for POTC and realised in LBP2 its free that would SUCK | 2010-09-02 22:07:00 Author: The age of LOLZ Posts: 229 |

He said that all of the DLC you own you will be able to use in LBP2. There is a substantial difference. | 2010-09-02 22:20:00 Author: tanrockstan34 Posts: 1076 |

Unless it will not be captureable in the furture. | 2010-09-03 00:47:00 Author: tanrockstan34 Posts: 1076 |
