Layered Switches
Archive: 7 posts
Let's say I wanted to make a box that closes when you're in it (for example). So, I'd make the box, hook up the door to a sensor switch, and then test it. But wait! If I step in front of the box it closes. Why? Because sensor switches (as well as all other switches with radii) are not layer-specific. I think it would be great if there was an option in the tweak menu to make a switch layer-specific (ie, the first layer, or the second and third layer or even the first two thin layers [for mag. switches, of course]). Also, if someone already posted this (and I'd be surprised if no one did), or there is already this feature in LBP2, then feel free, moderators, to close this thread. I wish there was a layer specific switch, but for now you can use the Metal Gear Solid Spotlight. I didn't know about it's abitlity until I tried it out recently. | 2010-09-01 01:38:00 Author: PPp_Killer Posts: 449 |
Ummmm.... Read around a little first they have already added this.... sensor switches etc can be made to work on only one layer now. *mew | 2010-09-01 01:57:00 Author: Lord-Dreamerz Posts: 4261 |

Game Jammers confirmed this, for one. I wonder ?f we can choose any layer, instead of the layer the switch is in... | 2010-09-01 05:38:00 Author: Unknown User |
I wonder ?f we can choose any layer, instead of the layer the switch is in... Can't remember on that one I'm afraid. If not, you can probably get around it with some holographic material hackery. Also, the ability to sense in the same layer as the switch is more useful when you remember that you can shift objects (and therefore switches) between layers | 2010-09-01 09:49:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
