I know most of you will probably think this will be impossible, but I am thinking about making MW 2 as a FPS in LBP 2. I think it could be possible with A LOT of advanced logic and a couple well placed cameras. First I will work on the concept of the FPS and release it if it works. Then, I will create a single player level with it. If that works out good I will try and take advantage of the competitive mode's cameras (Each player gets their own screen in competitive mode) and I will create a 4 player free-for-all level. The only problem I think I would have with the free-for-all would be the spawning, but other than that, I think it would work. If i get all of that to work and i still have temperature left, which i doubt i will, i will add killstreaks, predator missles, turrets, stealth bombers, etc. Alex Evans might of said that it wouldn't be possible to make an FPS, but he also wait it wasn't possible to make an RTS and look at what the creators they picked to create a level in 24 hours made: An RTS.2010-08-31 07:09:00

I'm pretty sure he was boasting that a tester made a RTS? Alex Evans really said (As far as I can remember) You can't have sackboy looking down in a first person view, thats all he ever meant, I don't understand why people take it as "You can't make a FPS at all". He never said it's impossible to make a FPS level either. Good Luck.

Also, don't name it MW2 or COD anything, make it original. I hate when people assume I made my level because of Call of duty. >.> It's inspired from Counter Strike more then anything.

Or.... if you make it like top-down, then make characters and put cameras in front of them. looking up, if the camera is that powerfull...

It would be split screen, and each segment of the screen would have some kind of device that tracked the opposite player and emitted a "version" of them. As each player moved, their moves would be replicated on the other players screen. When that replica was shot/exploded/etc, it would deal the damage to the corresponding player. Any items such as C4 etc would be replicated on each screen. A drawback would be that it would be complicated as hell, and the map would need to be simplified or it would just not be doable.2010-08-31 21:44:00

Oh I know, it'd be boring as hell, but it's still possible
Also, Sackbots could be used for the character replicas on each screen.

That's exactly how I think I would do it. Except I might just make singleplayer levels. If the regular camera doesn't work I heard Alex say that the cuscene camera can go at any angle and you can choose wether the player can move or not in the cutscene. If the FPS doesn't work I'll just make it a top down shooter. Don't forget about the microchips too. Mm said they would take up barely any space. Anyway, I know what you're saying. It would be overcomplicated and I probably wouldn't have enough temp for the map, but we'll see...

First of all, make sure you make something based off a good game (as MW2 is terrible) or make a new idea up.

Now that thats out the way, i don't know if it is going to be possible, but good luck on it anyway, if you do manage to do it i wil check out your level / game (aslong as it's not like MW2)
