I never got stuck on half life, also there are only 2 bad parts of the PS3 orange box. There is no updates on TF2 making it rubbish.
and they never patched in all the portal 2 teaser easter eggs and extended ending for portal.

But... It's linear. You can't even get lost.

Exactly. Plus, the hardware needed to run the games decently now costs about... $70?

Which vent? I don't think I ever got lost in a vent in Half-Life 2... I don't even think you can get lost in any vents, now that I think about it.

Half-Life 1, on the other hand, has a few that I can definitely understand people getting lost in. Although, Half-Life 1 is not included in the Orange Box.

Correct because HL1 did not use the source engine.

I have to admit I got lost on Half Life 2 when I was on the jet sky right at the start of the game. Never completed HL2 because I kept on getting new games that took pioriety, mainly MGS4 and GTA4.2010-08-30 19:13:00

Thoughout the game there are several vents. (like that decoration in LBP, but flat)
All of these vents are painted on. At one point, suddenly one of these vents is able to be shot and crawled through.
This breaks a golden rule of game design. Consistancy.

HL2 is good, but it's not the peak of FPS people say it is. A lot could be improved.

Ah, haha. That's understandable then. I hate when games have all of these doors that can't be opened, but then all of a sudden...

Anyways, Half-Life 1 is better than Half-Life 2 in my opinion. Half Life 2 is still fantastic, and probably the best aging game ever... But, the first game still takes the cake I think.

And yeah, Half-Life 1 used the "gold source" engine (as it was dubbed during the creation of the source engine). Which just happens to be a heavily modified version of the Quake Engine.

All that being said... I can't wait to try out the Black Mesa mod for the source engine to come out, whenever it does. It's a modification for the source engine that aims to recreate the original game.

http://www.blackmesasource.com/

It was originally due out by 2010, but apparently there have been some delays... It's a huge project (and it's pretty much all volunteer work, if I recall correctly), so it's understandable.
