Choosing Material *Help Needed*

Archive: 5 posts

Edit: Out of date

Hey guys I need help on choosing what material to use in my level: A Bubbly Forest.

http://i844.photobucket.com/albums/ab7/dfgkljhsadfkweoiu/IMG_1439.jpg

Okay, so in the picture above is the transition from the garden to the forest. I know for sure I am using the wood material for the trees and the floral material for the tree's "leaves." However, I need help on choosing what background (thin layer in the back) and ground to use for the forest. (Seen on the right side of the photo). It'd be awesome if you'd guys help me out because I want this level to be as good as the first, if not better!

I'd go with Green Baize and Green Upholster. But if your using Green Baize your gonna have to sticker it up cause it's a bit plain.2010-08-29 21:04:00

Hey Val!!

I'm sorry it took so long to get back with you on this. I have been thinking and thinking since last we spoke, and I have yet to think of anything better than what you have selected in the photo in the OP. As far as a forest theme goes that is just about perfect. I was thinking maybe green wood from the gardens pack or dark green wood from the canyons (I think), in some spots, here and there. I used the green wood in my last level, and went a little crazy with it because I liked it so much. Anyway, whatever materials you decide to use, I'm sure they will look great. You are starting to develop a distinct style. I'm not counting this a my f4f, you still got one coming on your next level.

Later my friend!!

Okay thanks, I decided to change things a lot. I made the "leaves" of the trees grass material and made that the main ground. It looks good this way, and I can't wait for you to review it.
