LBP1 Items

Archive: 12 posts

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I was wondering do we have the choice tohave all of our LBP1 stuff over later in the game because I really just was a clean slate for a while and get the joy of having to find all your items so you can try and fill your popit up and then you can feel accomplished when you collect all materials, costumes.etc
Can anyody enlighten me if we do get the choice or if it hasnt been revealed?

Yeah.

1. Back up your LBP1.
2. Delete your LBP1 data (not the back up).
3. Insert LBP2 disc.
4. Enjoy.

Mm mentioned needing LBP1 if you want the items from that game to carry over to LBP2, because LBP2 won't have the original LBP1 materials and stuff.2010-08-29 20:31:00

It will, in the sense that you can still use them, but you can't unlock them in LBP2. You have to have a profile from LBP1 transferred over in order to do so.

So yeah, as stated just remove the LBP1 save file from your system before you begin LBP2.

He saying that if you backup the LBP1 data, as in copy it on a separate drive, then delete the original data (the data from the PS3, not the drive) then you wont have any data on the PS3 itself. And so, you can collect all the items from LBP2 without having the ones from LBP1. And when you want the LBP1 data, you insert the drive, and copy it back over to the PS3.

As for why you would want to, I see no idea. What if you see a material in a level, decide you like it, want to use it, and find out it's an LBP1 one? And what about the paintinator and real watorz?

Also, do you guys think they'll make LBP1 DLC work with LBP2 DLC? I don't mean carrying over from LBP1, I mean buying it on the store and getting, say, the Metal Gear Solid pack on LBP2. It sure would help people without LBP1 (of which I am not but I'm just curious as all).

He means when he's playing through storymode he wants to start clean (Just like me) and when he creates he'll upload his LBP stuff.....(Pretty sure atleast)
