Hello everyone! I would love for you guys to check out the new forum I am making! I've worked really hard on it, and it stills needs some tweaks. But, I DO need some people that are willing to help with the forum! Positions are as follows:

1. Java Coders:
I need someone that has a very good experience with Java! If you can give me some of the work you've done, then it will give you a better chance at being the main Java coder!
I will need someone mature, and accurate in his work! Thank you!

2. Photographers:
I need someone who has a good camera and knows how to use it!
Photoshop support would be nice as well!

3. Cinematographers: (Video Recorder)
I need someone with a good camera that can link it up to the system and knows how to use it well!
After Effects or other good video editing program skills would be a bonus!
Keep in mind, you don't NEED these programs, but it would be nice!

I really hope that someone is willing to help!
I look forward to seeing some of you on the team!

Here are some pictures of the site as of now.

Remember, I'm still working on it, and still looking for webpage designers!

The website looks very well made and has great potential.
I know nothing about website design I'm afraid, but I could help out in the Moderator field.

Message me if you like

No offence Sackman, but i don't think you should be a mod.
You double post and bump threads...

Nice site! I hope you will succeed with it

Thank you all!
And hey Sackman, if you can, show me some HTML you've done, the HTML I'm trying to get done is for Web Pages. So it would be helpful if you could arrange different pictures all around the web page.

I could be a mod or possibly do some HTML/CSS... Haven't done any in a good deal of time though, may need to brush up.

Is all you want to do arrange pictures? That could be easily dreamweaver.

Hoping to have some different .gifs or animations on different parts of the screen. Like at the top left of the site, have a sackbot running. Different stuff like that.2010-08-28 17:24:00

I daresay that looks amazing! Kudos to you! Unfortunately, I get confused when I use multiple forums for different things, so I think I'm just going to stick to the two I know and love!

I know "MacRumours" and I love "LBPC"

Very well done all the same though!

Don't overdo the gifs though, it causes the browser to run more slowly and also too many gifs look tacky / ugly.

Yeah, I could do animations and other stuff like that. It is still a good chance for me to get re-acquainted with it!
The moderation job still sounds good though!

But a little more LBP2-ified!

I've signed up and I must say, you've done an excellent job with all of this, it could look a little neater but, this will definitely be the place I go to for LBP2 stuff.

As for helping... I am sorry to say I have no experience in HTML or CSS... So I really could only be a moderator. But yeah, great job and message me if you see me fit to assist you with this site.

Aren't you the one who keeps posting threads saying you know when LBP2 comes out in the UK when you're obviously lying?

I'd be careful about who you're hiring to be Mods. And to be honest, you don't even need any yet. Moderators are meant to be picked based on their contribution to the forums, not just picked on request.

Also, love the name for Moderators. But aren't there any Admins?

I could possibly help you out with the animations. I've been using Adobe Flash for a number of years, and if you could find a use for that I would be willing to help.

@Doopz
Haha, moderators are the ones who are going to help me maintain the site while I get the structure built up, and the people I have chosen so far seem very qualified. The Admin is me, I may choose someone who goes beyond the call of duty one day, but not anytime soon.

And DC, that would be epic!

Everyone interested in helping, just sign up on the forums and contact me!

I've only just looked at the 'Enter Site' page and the main forum page but so far it actually looks very good. I'll sign up after a post this and have a better look around. I did notice a couple of things though. Compared to here at LBPC your website was slower to load, I'm not saying it's bad it still loads quite quickly, but not everyone has fast internet so there something that can still be worked on.

That leads me to images and general look of the website. The banner and background are very nice high quality images, and they definitely give your site a professional look, but I'm wondering have these images been; re-sized, compressed, optimised so their file size is as small as possible? That might be one of the reasons your website is a little slow to load, It looks like you're using the LBP2 pack of images and I know that a lot of the pictures in there are very big.

The last thing I noticed was the use of black. Now I personally love black, it makes sitting and looking at a computer screen for long periods of time easier on the eyes. Similarly though, so does an easy to understand design. You've used a black/grey gradient for the forum category titles which looks very nice and neat. Yet there are a few just straight black boxes, if you give them the same gradient effect it would do wonders for your website, making it look better and helping it to be more consistent.

I'm not partial to the lime green but I'll save judgement on that until I spend some more time there.

Looking good so far

EDIT: I've signed up now.

Ok here's a big one. You have one of two problems, either you don't have a Site Feedback area or I simply can't find it (which is a problem if you do have it.) For a new site, allowing it's users to easily voice their opinions and problems is invaluable.

Another thing I noticed was your main navigation. While it's a nice idea to use pictures instead of text it's not exactly user friendly. For accustomed users it would be fine but being new I have to over my mouse over each image to see what it is exactly. What you could do is work the images into a conventional navigation bar by putting them next to the text.

I like the idea of the Chatbox but it's background NEEDS to be changed. Just a simple white background would be perfect having it transparent as it is I can't even make out my own username because the text is straight of the the background image.

Oh and if you're looking for another mod, I'd gladly be one. You need mods with a variety of time zones right?
Btw if I'm sounding overly critical don't take it the wrong way. Not saying you will but yeah

I just went into Sage's post of the New LBP2 Features and it is long, those 'Quote' and 'Multi-Quote' buttons take up way too much space on the side when they really don't need it. There's so much wasted space just being filled up with grey. Move those buttons below the post and text will have some more room. It's like reading a newspaper atm.
EDIT: Ok so the buttons are actually at the bottom of the post, that should make it an easy fix.

The little '+' and '-' you have to vote on people's posts are kind of just hanging there. Nothing tells the user what they are until they actually click on it. It's not exactly a huge problem if someone clicks on it accidentally but it's these little things that make a site great.

Haha WOW you can type a lot!
And I know, the site isn't up to full performance yet, that's why I made this, to get people who can edit mainstream HTML. I have a lot of ideas on making this better. I have a couple people with Flash and a few HTML pros, so the site should be up to full performance within a few weeks. I have everything planned out, so just keep checking up daily. The mods are very helpful with suggestions, them being some of the people on the site most; kudos to them!!

Haha yeah I can't help typing a lot. I'm very picky when it comes to web design, I'm not exactly interested in doing it as a job or even doing it at all, but I can't stand it when a website is just slapped together. Actually I've only ever made two websites, they were both for school using Adobe Dreamweaver, one was almost 3 years ago and one was just recently. I hated making it but I think it turned out really well.

And I will be checking it out frequently

I'd like to help, but I've only actually started to get into working with HTML and CSS (and PHP) not too long ago at school (Since May.. I think) , so I don't think I'd be able to offer much help. (Most of my website I made was just based off a few tutorials and messing around alot. So yeah.. Only looks half decent :l )

Anyway, I'm gonna go sign up to the website now.
EDIT: Just did

Yeah, but what I mean is there's currently no distinction between Admins and Mods, they're both blue, it just makes it seem like there's no Admins...

It's not my bad hardware, I got a Full HD screen, and my computer is fast enough to play two Full HD blu-rays at the same time, smoothly.
I still think it's .jpg quality but I don't why you do see it in HQ... Hmmmmz
