Race over rooftops and through back alleyways in an urban landscape. Get lots of points by putting your graffiti stickers in certain places of the city. The level has light platforming elements and has vivid ,nighttime city visuals. The level also has short multi-pathing in certain areas. All in all, a quick play that will give you the feeling that your sack person is immersed in the city life.

Hey, I played your level. It was fun for the most part, but sometimes I didn't know where to go. Maybe if you lay it out clearer? Also, you could have developed a story for why you were graffating everything. Just a thought.

It was a pretty original idea though, and I applaud you for that. I also liked the use of stickers to make it look like my neighbourhood. lol!

There's one more thing, try fiddling around with the music and sounds. That always tends to add a bit of atmosphere. You could also have someone shown throwing out their garbage. Its always the little things that make a difference.

I noticed that its your first level, so im pretty impressed. You should've seen mine! Anyway, I hope to see a sequel in LBP2. I gave it 3 stars. But don't let that dishearten you! As somebody else said, '3 stars is the new 5 stars.' Baby.

Update: more sounds added as well as more lighting and sticker elements for even more visual appeal. Race time also increased to 5 minutes.2010-08-27 17:28:00

Ok, played your level, but could not get the tags to work, and it turned out my settings were wrong. (that really sucks because a few of my levels demand the stickers work too). Well liked the city feel, the running through buildings and fire escapes were a nice touch. Most of the jumps worked for me, but the tart where I swang from the first light took a few trys. I also wouldn't have minded a few directions as I went along. I liked the race tag idea, but I ran out of time on the first try rather quickly...and that was without tagging, just exploring a bit. It would have been nice for more time to complete the race and do the side things. A few people yelling at me out the window as I ran past them may have been a nice touch, or cops trying to shoot you as you tag. Fun platforming sticker level, just got lost a bit, ran out of time, and a few jumps were a bit too unforgiving...while the infinate lives made me not care (there are several areas you could just have double or single).2010-08-28 12:15:00

I'm game. I'll check it out today.

edit: OK, here we go!

One thing: There are a few levels called Graffiti Kingdom... You might want to specify that yours is subtitled "25th Street" here on the forum.

Right away, I see a pretty strong visual style, but it's a little dark.

I don't know about the race aspect. There's a lot to explore and it's easy to get lost. I don't think there's any way I could have made it in time.

I like stickering things for points. Very cool. Unfortunately, some of the points dropped in a location that was not exactly where I was stickering from, and I lost some of them. Maybe give them infinite life and let them all appear together so everyone who finds all the sticker spots can reap the full reward.

Some deaths felt a little cheap. Blind jumps, hidden spikes, and that sort of thing.

All in all, I'd say this is a really solid effort, and the time you spent on its design really shows. Iron out some kinks and you've got a real winner here for those who dig exploration levels... Just give us some time and leeway to explore!

I'm not sure if the level needs a race as finding the tags is the main focus I was probably a minitue short while finding around 10 of the tags. You could drop the race and maybe add some altenate routes around the rooftops to reward more exploring for tag points. I liked the sound effects you used going through the buildings it added a lot of personality to the level also the scenery was very fiting the street isn't a theme i've seen done much but you've captured it well.2010-08-28 22:46:00

Big thanks to everybody who played my level and gave me their 2 cents! I was iffy about the race thing from the start so I'll take the suggestions and remove the race gates and maybe add even more alternate routes. Thanks again.2010-08-29 15:27:00

Played this last night with a friend and then again later on by myself, and failed to finish the race both times. Then again, I wasn't really worried about trying to finish the race on time as I was busy checking out all the nooks and crannies and scoping out the visuals. I don't know that you need to remove the race, just maybe make the race unlockable after level completion? That way people wont feel rushed and can take everything in fully. The platforming was pretty decent and I especially like the idea of finding all the spots to tag. Overall I enjoyed the level and would like to see you expand and improve upon the idea. :star::star::star::star: and a <3.2010-08-29 21:12:00

Thanks for the feedback of "The Hero Chronicles LV5 Glacier Volcano". The city design is interesting but I felt confused as I try to figure out where to go next. You should considered adding stuff to give us hints on where to go next just like you did in some areas of the level. Overall the visuals are good but gameplay is decent. However I gave it 4 stars and I'm one of the few lucky players to complete the level.2010-08-30 00:23:00

Sorry about the delay, here it is:

I just played your level a few times, and for the most part its pretty good. You have some nice visuals, some decent platforming, and a lot of sticker triggers .

The visuals are the high part of the level for me, you made some very nice stickers and background objects to look at. I didn't quite understand why you "hid" a good section of it- at the end of the level you have a little scene with cars and buildings, but the player is by default set to avoid it. The spray can at the end was also pretty nice looking

The platforming wasn't anything special, but it was decent. I didn't really like the first climb, where you grab onto the light. To me that looks more like poor spacing on the stairs, then an actual challenge for climbing.

As to the graffiti concept, I can't say I'm too fond of it. I played the first time trying to get all the spots, but it really slowed down the game play for me. It would be a very short platforming sequence, and then I'd have to stop, pull out my sticker, and wait for the points to drop down on me. This really broke up the pacing of the level, and there were quite a few of these little breaks.

If you want to continue with the idea of using sticker triggers as the main basis of the level, here are a couple of suggestions I have:

1) you could make the stickers more of a secrets hunt. So... you want to paint the town blue, but if you place it in a spot too obvious, you'll get caught/it'll be taken down. So you go through the level, and try and find those sneaky places to place stickers, instead of being given the locations automatically.

2) You could add pizazz to the spray painting. Give it a little animation, change the object you're stickering, make the sticker have some effect on the world (ie: spray paint the bulletin board, and some cops chase after you), or change the graffiti for each board (via a piece of theck dissolve in front of a thin layer showing the actual scene). I know I'd be more interested in stopping if there was something new to look at.

Overall, I gave it :star::star::star:, let me know if you have other levels you want me to look at, and I'll try to be faster this time
