I was just wondering if the site will get a slight (or not-so-slight) makeover (possibly using the LBP2 fansite kit) for the new game?

So did I Arnaldo so wait 3 people that already create a thread about this lol We need to change the sites looks it wound be fantastic but I talk to CC about this and he never respond back. I wanted to get most of the mods in my side so we can team up. LBPC need a make over, it wound be better if they change the site look wend LBP2 comes out because most of us will be playing it and wend we get in LBPC it wound be magnificent

I don't think it needs changing too soon. Like ARD said, this theme hasn't been around for that long. A refresh of the banner pics will probably be needed once the new game comes out, but a whole site re-theme?

Redesigns come along when you need to restructure the way information is displayed or adapt to changes happening in the general community your website operates in. They don't happen just because a new style would be different and interesting and you're getting bored of looking at the same layout every day. If you recall, we just redesigned the site not even a year ago. Good design (like ours) doesn't need to be changed that often - in fact, if it were, it would be detrimental to the community because we'd be wasting valuable time redesigning and you'd be wasting valuable time learning the new design. People get used to the way things are laid out, it becomes familiar, and we rely on that familiarity to provide new content in a way that is instantly easy to access. Because there's no driving motivation behind it, change for the sake of change nearly always has a negative impact. In the case of LittleBigLand, they had good reason to redesign - they updated their look to a more fresh design, they made content links more obvious and easily accessible, and they reorganized their content to make it easier for visitors to find what they are looking for. That's the cornerstone of good motivation to redesign. We, however, don't have that - our look is still high-quality, our content is organize neatly, we have a prominent and easy-to-use navigation bar, and we have the room to update our look with fresh banners without the need to do an entire redesign. There's no need for us to change anything because it wouldn't introduce any immediate benefit. Which brings me around to our headers. As I have said many times before, I have a plan for our header images. Just because it is not immediately obvious what that plan is does not mean I am neglecting what you guys are asking for. Do me a favor and be patient. All in good time.
