Hey everyone, this is my new level about a mysterious, metaphorical land where the challanges are meant to represent the challanges of creating the level.
Its hard to explain, so ill let the photos do the talking.

This level looks awesome so I am going to review it as I go along

First Impression: Wow. The graphics and lighting are amazing at the beginning! I jump on the first platform and I can already tell this level is a high quality level. I fell off a platform and it took me a few minutes to find out how to get back up, so maybe point out that you have to jump on the button. The platforms are getting slimmer and slimmer, and WHOOPS! I fall off. It was very challenging but the next time I got it. The checkpoint falls down the hill breaking rocks and such as it goes, making it look very very cool and realistic. I spot a jump pad, and then another, and go in a big circle and collect a bunch of bubbles. It was very unexpected, nice job! I jump over the spikes and onto the jump pad, and shoot up REALLY fast and hit the ceiling. Maybe make that jump pad not as strong so sackboy doesn't get blasted up there! Afterwards, I find this really cool looking bridge, and other ones above my head! I climb the bridges and make it safely to the top. I jump in the hole, and after a few minutes, figure out that you have to push R1 (lol). Once again I go through some jump pads with (good idea!) a piano noise getting higher and higher in pitch as you hit each one. I then continue too find mine carts on a mine cart track! I found it very frustrating TRYING to jump in a mine cart though! Okay, so now I FINALLY got in it and went for a pretty little ride! I get out of the water and LAG!! Since the rest of the level is amazing, I will not write about it

GAMEPLAY: :star::star::star::star::star:
VERY fun platforming was achieved I had a blast playing this level

GRAPHICS: :star::star::star::star::star:
If I had to debate an argument about video games being an artform, THIS would be the level I would choose

SOUND: :star::star::star::star::star:
Great sounds effects, including the piano sounds which was a great idea.

HEARTABILITY: :star::star::star::star::star:
Can I give 6 stars? Tooo bad

OVERALL: :star::star::star::star::star:

Stunning level, I have NEVER seen anything close to it. Excellent job! Hearts for you!

Excellent level. The visuals looked splendid with good layering, lighting, and materials and the platforming is great. The mine cart ride is a blast and the puzzle where you need to find a way to activate the windmill is amazing. The only problem though is that the platforming towers between the thin tree at the beginning of the level needs to be close to the height because the thin layer tree is in a way while trying to be in the taller platform [hope you know which one I'm talking about.]. Overall that was an visual masterpiece and great gameplay. 5 stars and a heart.

Play and F4F either The Hero Chronicles LV3, LV4, LV5, or LV6.

Initial thought: Oh a pretty jungle, that is pretty cool.
later: this gameplay is awesome!
later still: heart!

So, yeah I thought the visuals were nice but the gameplay was so original in places.
Notably the roof climb. I loved this!
If this doesn't get some sort of mention in the spotlight I will be very surprised.

Thanks for your comments! Gosh, as soon as this level hit the cool pages it lost its 5 star rating, which is abit annoying. But that was to be expected I suppose.2010-08-28 17:56:00

Will be playing this soon. Looks awesome!

Played it and thought it was fun and very beautiful. Reminded me of an old geosautus level. Just an amazing level.

Just played your level, and only a few things conserned me, but it doesn't matter.
I only thought that the trees could be a little less pixely, if that makes sense?
Other than that, the level was fun and just about any sack can finish it if they try. It was springy and fun, and the level had a nice playful touch.
The basic logic that went into the level was not noticable, and I really enjoyed the fact that there were sounds and decorations everywhere!

Great Job! You are doing great with creating! I hope to see more.

Just the looks of the environments is astounding.
Some of the platforming elements used some nice tricks, and the gameplay was varied and well paced.
The level packed a lot of gameplay contrary to what i expected so good job on that.
Overall, outstanding level, very good quality, my only suggestion would be to hide the connectors.

A fun platformer with some creative ideas. It was very fun from start to finish. The windmill and mine carts were the most memorable, as mentioned in the spotlight. 5/5!2010-09-06 16:25:00

I had a lot of fun wit this level! The visuals were natural, and they felt crisp and fresh. The gameplay felt innovative, and there was a lot of bubble chains, I always like bubble chains. So overall, nice work, I rated the level :star::star::star::star::star:.2010-09-06 18:02:00

Really fun level. Game play and visuals are very strong. I really loved the bouncing along and the timed obstacles. The windmill and cart were also cool.

Great waterfall by the bridge, though there was a bit of lag in that spot. Not sure how to fix that.

Earlier waterfalls seem to extend a bit far down into the water, but I'm being picky here.

I would like to see a bit more jazzing up of the opening.

I'm not sure about the title and how it ties in. Isn't the Land of the Midnight Sun Alaska? I've been to Alaska in the summer and it is still light out at midnight.

Anyway, great level though. Good luck with it.

I'd love your feedback on my F4F level Flying Saucers From Mars. Thanks.
