http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/6752/calltoarmse.png

That's right, the PS3 side of the Community Spotlight Crew is looking for new blood! The team that is responsible for the ever-popular, fortnightly spotlight of community created levels is looking to expand.

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRETY OF THIS POST OR YOUR RESPONSE WILL BE DELETED AND YOUR APPLICATION IGNORED. YES, THE WHOLE THING.

Due to the influx of levels being posted in the spotlight, and the real life obligations of many of our current spotlight team members, we will be actively looking for anyone willing to step up to the challenge. Anyone interested in the position must...

Be willing to play almost all of the levels posted in the level showcase. This is a large time commitment! Be competent in writing and word usage. Know a quality level when they see it. Be experienced in the world of LittleBigPlanet. Be able to work in a team-centered atmosphere.

Also advantageous...

Be comfortable working with an Excel-type spreadsheet. Is not threatened by vBulletin code. Fun, friendly, and humorous. Be a generally helpful person around the forums.

---

If you think you've got what it takes...

Post a reply with links to three examples of useful and constructive feedback given by you in our Level Showcase. If you've not left feedback in those forums before, it's not looking good... Ha! There is no cap to the number of people we can bring onto the team, but we only want people who will dedicate their time to the project. We are currently only hiring for the Vita side of things.

---

Any posts that are not 'indications of interest' per the guidelines above will be deleted. This is not a thread meant to be spammed, and we will not be tolerant of comments from the peanut gallery.

Thanks, everyone!

Comphermc says: What? Is this an application? If so, you failed to follow directions...
rtm223 says: Maybe he was expecting us to respect his individuality and flair?
Comphermc Responds: I don't know... sounds risky. Can we be sure that he even read the entirety of the first post? We don't have time for mavericks on our spotlight team...
rtm223 says: Well not reading things through is conducive to time efficiency, maybe that's a plus?
Comphermc Concedes: Ah, good points. I guess we wait and see what Soverso has to say about all of this.

Well, I'd love to be a part, but I'm afraid that I don't comment on people's work often enough.

Oh, well. I can wait until the requirements are more lax.

Oh, well. I can wait until the requirements are more lax.

I'm concerned that the wording in the first requirement was a bit stiff. I've replaced it with the following:

Be willing to play a large number of the levels posted in the level showcase. This is a significant time commitment!

At the end of the day, we are flexible with allowing time off for personal matters, and slow weeks, but we don't want to bring someone on who will flake at the work each fortnight.

I was actually just wondering how I would go about applying for this.

I'd like to give it a shot. Playing LBP levels is something I greatly enjoy doing (with and without friends), and playing lots of levels could be highly amusing/fun/effervescent. I work in my university's writing center, so I can say I'm fairly competent in the area of writing I know when I'm playing a good level. And I'm good with a team, as well. I AM experienced with Little Big Planet, though I'm somewhat new to these forums. That might be the biggest disadvantage I see. I'm comfortable with spreadsheets (I'm a computer science major). vBulletin is pretty easy to use, too.

I'm intensely curious, and will often go the "wrong way" on a level just to see what happens. It turns out that's a really good way to find glitches (I also worked as a software tester for a summer, so that helps too).

Oh, question about time. Is there an average number of hours this takes per week, or does it vary wildly? I'm currently at college... there are two-three days a week when I just don't have time, but I have loads of time on the other days. EDIT: Just read your post up there. Time sounds good. Saturdays might be iffy, though.

Aaaaaand... here's three reviews I've done. All the links should go directly to my post:

According to this it looks like i can do it, i love to play levels and i think it would be interesting to work with such good creators, i have 2 levels that were be spotlighted but i don't really know if that actually counts. If you chose me i would feel honored to play every single level in the level showcase and write some words for quality levels.

Hello, dragonvarsity here. I'd like to be apart of the community spotlight team. I already plays lots of levels from the community so I'd already be used to playing all the levels there. Plus, I don't just play levels but I think I'm great at spotting the fantastic ones, in fact I even have a blog talking about amazing levels and we've reached over 100 amazing levels. Here are the examples of my reviewes although they're not as detailed as the spotlight crew's reviews.

1. Feedback on Nocturne by IceMaiden

I played this level and it was amazing, the detail was outsatding and I loved how you made such an amazing level with great pictures and the song was awesome You definitely deserve :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3

2. Feedback on Zhani's Palace: Treasure Hunter by Nilsder94

The style was great and felt just like a story level. I think you did a great jb on characters and length plus the platforms bouncing you up were great and I had no problems with them. Some parts were kinda challenging but not frustrating which I loved. I was hoping for a boss battle at the end but there wasn't but I still liked the trap and the platform beneath breaking so I really hope to see a part 2 soon escaping and continuing to get through his castle and then defeat him. Overall though, the visuals and platforming were great and I loved the added sticker switches just like in the story mode. Overall, I gave it and a . Great job and I really hope to see a sequel for this.

Now I know that might seem not spotlight good and that's because I'm an average reviewer and I'm doing it for fun. IF I were to be on the sotlight team, it's more like a job. I am definitely capable of making great reviews that actually describe the level and when I joined lbpcentral, my goal was to be not just a member who makes a couple posts but a dedicated one and I feel like this could really help. As my final review, I hope it's okay that I show a re-make of a review I had for black and white planet 3 by jump_button as an example to show you I can make that leap.

I've always loved playing one of Jump_button's levels so it's great to see another one by him. In previous black and white planet levels the visuals were okay but there was a lot of gameplay. In the third of the black and white planet levels, Jump_button creates one of the most beautiful levels I've seen. while still having some gameplay. Plus I love the added creatures like the black and white bats flying up and down and the venus fly traps. There is some fun gameplay in this level plus a great puzzle at the end. I can't even imagine how many stickers it took to make this level. Overall, I gave it :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3. One of his best levels yet.

I hope that's a good example and if you need more, I'd be happy to give more and if you say no, I completely understand Also, since it would be like a job, I'd make sure there would be no misspellings unlike in previous reviews and of course I have a PS3, I think I'm helpful and fun and I can work with excel and vbulletin code.

this is my "indication of interest" but i'd have some questions answered first...all my questions are in BOLD PRINT and yeah based on the answers i'll see if my schedule allows me to attempt to try out...i haven't done any detailed reviews as of yet...but i'll make a few when i figure out what to do

* Be willing to play almost all of the levels posted in the level showcase. This is a large time commitment!

this confuses me a bit since I have no way of finding out which ones to play in the many pages that are displayed...so is it like "play the first 2-3 pages?" or is there any specific intel you can reveal on what you mean by ALL levels...since obviously i know you're not expecting us to play previous community spotlight levels and such

* Be competent in writing and word usage.

basically speaking correct english and have decent spelling correct? just making sure

* Be experienced in the world of LittleBigPlanet.

more details? I don't need to know extreme logic or anything like that correct?

* Be able to work in a team-centered atmosphere.

more details? sounds like a skype thing from how i'm reading it

and one more

the advantage ones are just that...to our advantage...and aren't required right?

I assure you that I play most, if not all levels this site reccomends. Great levels are picked each week, and that must be a heavy work load for all of you. I have been reviewing levels for over a year now, and every review I have given has gotten a positive feedback. Ill give you a few examples.

Feeback example #1:
Loch'd up was an absolutely fantastic level. The visuals reminded me of a Mediamolecule level, and the gameplay was top notch. The music was well placed, but I felt as if the boss needed a different track other than "deep blue quay" Try something like "battles", or maybe even something from the mavel pack to add some more intensity to the boss.
One game breaking bug: At the end of the level, my friend joined and the screen went really dark and I couldnt see anything. I popped after a few minutes of trying to find m way around and spawned underneath the metal bar that ends the upwards chase scene. It looks as if the checkpoint would move, but it didnt. I could move and had to restart. Other than a slight bug, This level is a perfect example of how good gamplay and storytelling can come together and create an amazing level. 's and a big Amazing work!

Feedback example #2:

The post apocalyptic feel of "The Final Hour" is maintained with the slight MM style of challenges.
Swinging from fallen buildings, dodging explosions, and manuvering tricky landscapes is the name of the game here, and it certainly doesnt dissapoint. The obstacles are persistant throughout the level, which gives the strong feeling of navigating a destroyed city. Visuals were a unique style of half realistic and half craft world-ish (is that a word? ) Anyway, this is a top notch level, if your looking for hectic fun, with some unique visuals, check this one out follks! This ones a
surefire way to entertain!
:star::star::star::star:and a big ol'<3 from me!

Feedback Example #3:
Wooden Buttons:

Okay, I played it a few days ago, and what can I say, That was one fun level!
Like her other levels, this one maintains the fun and Original style the fenderjt seems to include in every section of this level. The puzzles were always fresh and felt brand new. The art style is not my thing, but on this occasion it was a pleasure to see. The title serves the level right as the buttons and wood combo makes the levels appearance very much more impressive. The puzzles went well with the level, and I was thouroughly entertained the whole way through.

All in all, once again fenderjt serves up a steaming hot helping of fun with a side of great visuals.

:star::star::star::star::star:'s and a <3 from me! Absolutley fantastic and a pleasure to play!

Well it seems I have some free time and Sabre and I play all the levels anyway so this would just be routine play with extra writing/ typing. My only rough spot probably would be that I have not work on excel in a long time. It doesn't hurt to try though.

Level: Tall temple trials
This is a jewl in platforming! I played it a few times and I just loved it you did a great job BUT! I think a little better use of music would have been nice at least at the start so for that I gave it 4 stars! Hope my input helps for the future!

Level: Rebuilding Imagination
I played this level and I was amazed I couldnt help but think about how much time you must have spent on it. As I played threw the level I tried to look at everything and when I did I was shocked by the shear detail of every little part you really did an amazing job! And you said in you original post that theres not alot of action but you made up for it in visuals! Job well done 5 stars and a heart from me!

Level: Nocturna suppresio
This has some of the best visuals I have seen and I loved how it pulled me into the level its was just something of wonder I think you need to make more! Everything was done great the hints were placed nicely!

Those are my 3

And I also match up with all the requirments!

We have ways of narrowing down which levels to focus on. For starters, scroll to the bottom of the level showcase... there are forum sort options. We also have organization that happens behind the scenes that you would be given access to.

* Be experienced in the world of LittleBigPlanet.

more details? I don't need to know extreme logic or anything like that correct?

Just be familiar with the goings on.

* Be able to work in a team-centered atmosphere.

more details? sounds like a skype thing from how i'm reading it

No skype. Private forums.

the advantage ones are just that...to our advantage...and aren't required right?

That's correct. Don't forget to meet the requirements in the first post if you're interested in applying. Basically, you didn't give examples.

Sorry for asking this here, but when is the deadline for this position? My PS3 is currently dead (again), and I'm hoping to fix it by mid-September.

No deadline. Obviously we will reach a point where we feel comfortable with the help we have, but I can't say when that will be.

I really wanna apply but school is starting soon, and it's my JC year Could I do it less often that the rest?

Not sure that's for the best. It wouldn't really be fair, no?

I have deleted some unnecessary posts. If you're not sure why the posts have been deleted, it's likely because your question was answered, or because you didn't follow the directions in the first post.

I'd be interested in giving this a try though I'd like some more details on what it actual consists of doing and the amount of time it takes. I'm definetly qualified for it and enjoy playing lots of levels and enjoy writing as well. Though I'm a fairly new member here I've posted feedback in numerous threads. Below are three links to threads and quotes from them where I posted what I consider useful constructive feedback:

Level: The Tanks Factory 2 by Onturenio

https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=33895-The-tanks-factory-2

This was a good level. The area it took place in was small, but the gameplay made you go by the same things a few times and figure out how to solve the puzzles. So it was small in size but not short on gameplay. The puzzles were well designed and I had to think about them some to figure out how to solve them.

A few things you could look at improving. The lighting didn't seem the greatest and I felt the white stickering didn't match the rest of the level. At the bomb area, some of the borders on the front thin layer were made of cardboard material and would blow up a little if you messed up and dropped a bomb. I also think the things on pistons there are too hard to get past with the bombs. It took more tries than a double life checkpoint would have given me in single player and I use that as quick guage to determine if somethings to hard in a level.

I died at the boss/puzzle/elevator section a whole lot of times. I guess your having things emit that control the direction of a piston? Maybe have them last longer, or speed up the time on the piston there. Also maybe put a sticker by the paint gun you have to use to shot a two way switch showing the player what to do. That part took me a little while to figure out and I wonder if other people might have problems there.

Level: ENCHANTED ADVENTURE Chapter 1: THE MISTERY OF THE CAVE by PSYNTENS

https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=33267-ENCHANTED-ADVENTURE-Chapter-1-THE-MISTERY-OF-THE-CAVE/page3

This level was in a style that I like. I'd say it was minimalistic up until the underwater part, which actually made me think maybe you'll go back and add in some more details and variety to the rest of the level? I also like how the design of the spider contrasted with the rest of the level, it stuck out, and whatever lighting effect you did for the invisible bridge looked real cool. Also you used the extra layers and some other little glitch things, like those weird bubble things, to nice effect.

Some stuff to work on. Mistery is commonly spelled mystery. At one part it says "Put in the middle of the light to receive the power" which would make more sense if it was changed to "Stand in the middle of the light to receive the power".

I think your trails of point bubbles were too long and it would be nice to have little groups of three bubbles placed in the areas where there were none, but that might not fit with the levels current set up. The boss confused me a little but makes sense now that I've killed it.

Teleporters, I've used them before but I don't like them. Usually with some good planning, anything a teleporter does can be done with dissolve unless there used as a gameplay mechanic. Here I didn't feel like you did that.

Level: Draconia Cave by ShamgarBlade

https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=32452-Draconia-Cave

I enjoyed this level. You had some really nice close zoomed cameras that worked very well through out. The length of the level was good also.

The thing I didn't like was during the boss fight, each time you shot one of the 4 weak points enough to activate them, they still kept shooting at you. I'd have it so that after you hit each one enough they stop. Then after that when the middle opens up have it shoot some crazy red plasma balls or something of that sort.

Maybe look into some different logical ideas for doing that and replacing a few of the on/off switches you had on your winches in the level.

This is a good opportunity indeed and wish i had the skill of the many hardworking people on LBPC, but since i am not as qualified and determined, i do have some questions about your post comphermc.

1. If i wanted to be a helpful part of this team, but didn't want to fully commit to the cause, could i instead just tell the spotlight team what i think would be a good level?

2. If i thing i found something worth "spotlighting" and wanted to share my findings, where or who would i tell?

3. If i found a good level but the certain author of the level may or may not be an LBPC member, would that be a problem?

They already play all of the levels, so I'm not sure it would do any good.

2. If i thing i found something worth "spotlighting" and wanted to share my findings, where or who would i tell?

Erm. I suppose you could tell someone on the spotlight team, although they may not appreciate all the messages.

3. If i found a good level but the certain author of the level may or may not be an LBPC member, would that be a problem?

Prod them to make a level thread.

I do indeed play many of the level showcase levels. I'll give it a shot.
Here is my list of 3 examples.

advice: add a little bit more game play in your levels. your obstacles were all the same, so a variety of challenges would make it less repeating.

I'll have to check out other levels you made!

Well, these are all that I found in level showcase at some time or another. Finger's crossed! I may be a bear, but don't be shy! Check out all the levels I just put in front of you, even if I don't make the team. I still think they are quite fun and unique.

This sounds like an amazing opportunity! It is already a joy to read the outstanding spotlights and then play the levels! I can imagine how fun it would be to be on the team!

And, my feedback examples:

Those Lumberjacks don't deserve a smexy mill like that!

I wish I had played the first one before this remake but I guess I will just see how much changed later.
The trees were what caught my eye in the beginning. These were great, new trees that hadn't found their way from the story mode into your level. After I saw these I knew the level had to be outstanding.
There were numerous amounts of details and eye candy from beginning to end! The background layers looked well placed and the flowers were scattered about nicely. The spider gave the level a little character too. . I also noticed things like the faint lights that eerily dimmed and the small creaking noises that occurred when branches would flow in the "wind."

A few nitpicks, nothing much though. The music seemed like an odd choice to me, didn't set in with me and felt out of place in some parts.
The sponges used to swing looked odd the same color as the muck in the beginning. Maybe you could experiment with other colors, although maybe I was just seeing things...

A few things happened in the mill that I don't think went as planned. The first log to spawn on the log saw bet got stuck for an amount of time and almost didn't come out, I had to jump on it and die before it unjammed. I also found myself out of the level after using the launch pad thing near the venting... I was jumping at the time but I still went way up there... I saw the "inner workings"!

An outstanding level in terms of gameplay and visuals, still some things that could use tweaking but hey, maybe instead of ZV3, a sequel???

Post One:
You definitely need that duct tape to keep your "big----------- brain" contained! ( Hehe you know what the middle is, now wouldn't that sound odd if I said)!

I have played at least played more than ten times and I just need the three player highscore. Good luck beating me!

I am going to just make a pro/con list and will write some feedback right after I play.

--Pros--
The new style has a great new feel to it, and it incorporates new and old!
The new puzzles were more difficult and the old ones that made their return were smoother and overall everything looked constructed better.
The homemade switches were absolutely perfect!
Race mode was a good incentive to replay a fabulous level. (Obviously it worked on me and I am still going to play again, and again..... And again)!
Instead of just secrets, your brain had to think of Easter eggs too... Meh, what an brilliant idea.
I have heard much about Portal but have never played myself, this stayed true to the story from my knowledge and even wanted to make me buy. I also played Still Alive during one play!
Your use of thin gas... It kept us pesky thecXmen out (Kernel!!!)
Your perfectionism! The whole level looked complete and in tip-top shape!
You showed me the ropes.

--Cons--
You used up too much thermo preventing you from adding any more!
The buttons sides were grabbable and in race mode it was hard to grab storage/companion cubes.
The level is too easy with all the tricks...
The checkpoints seemed scarce, especially when playing multiplayer this gets pesky.
Test six's turret right after the door shoots occasionally when you are below it and this can cause more multiplayer issues.

I will still try to write something more in-depth but your brain better think of something good for part two and three! Good work Comphy!

A few last words... Err lyrics!

I feel fantastic and I'm
still alive (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6ljFaKRTrI).
While you're dying I'll be
still alive (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6ljFaKRTrI).
And when you're dead I will be
still alive (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6ljFaKRTrI).

Post Two:
Haha, so someone finally beat my highscore. Bout' time as I even took time for a few shortcuts. Good job... I finally have a challenge (besides Comphy himself) to beat!

I thought of something else that was well designed. The paintinator switches caught my eye. I love how it is true to a real-life switch in where the two contacts form a closed circuit and then the current would flow hence activating the device. Of course it happened a little early but lets just call that an arc!

First of all... I would to say that I just fell in love with the level the minute I saw the title! (And Nessie of course! )

I would have never thought that exploring caves of the Loch and defeating the infamous Loch Ness Monster could be so entertaining and nerve-wracking at the same time! The journey to get there was quite something too! As I progressed through the level there were so many wonderful, light-hearted characters to accompany the compelling story that was unfolding. Especially at the end when there was the twist!

I think the music helped tell the story and seamlessly matched the visuals to make me crave for the sequel! I see that before 'Deep Blue Quay' was the track chosen for the chase scene but now 'Battles' take its place. In my opinion the change is very abrupt and I would think there may be some other music choices that match 'Deep Blue Quay' so that the change could be seamless.

I had a few peeves like any other level I play (I always find one ) I think that the lighting and sound effects were excellent in some areas but lacked in very many spots. It was as if you devoted time to some sections but left other areas crying for effects.
I found it tricky to get the hang of timing in the boss area. I died many times and found it to be quite boring before I finally "escaped." Maybe you could add two stages and maybe differ the attack of the boss and make it a bit easier!

I gave it :star::star::star::star: and a wonderful <3! It was a fantastic level with a unique style that reminded me of the good ol' days of LBP (You know, a simpler time ).

Thank you for your time!
Good luck everybody!

I'd actually love to be part of the team dynamic but......I think when you consider who you pick for such a position, your not looking for the same old stuff.
Honestly, when i read a spotlight, I sometimes think that a level is taken too seriously, maybe consider someone who won't spam my mind with the same repetative reviews of a 5 minute level, convincing me that it's an experience that I'll tell my grandchildren about. How come we nether hear of the negatives? Dont try and convince me that the little things will make my day. I'm starting to think that the same little comment could be used about 10 different levels. Make it more specific! And I don't mean the witty little line at the beginning. Please no linear reviews that seem to follow the same old path, mix it up a little, even if it is strenuous work, please?
ehhhh I might be done crying now.

A spotlight isn't intended to be a review, but a spotlight. A spotlight is used to point out something exciting or to draw attention to something you might not otherwise notice.

If you are not in the mood to play the spotlight levels and to form your own opinions of how great the level may or may not be, then you could look at the level showcase posts to see more in depths reviews.

I for one look forward to the positive aspect of the community spotlights and think they serve their intended purpose!

I just had one question...Do any of the reviews I did in the Review forum count as some of the requirements?
I did a lot of those and I am beginning to do more soon. I took some time off to help with my grandpa.
If the reviews do count I have a lot of examples.

Yeah, sure. Technically, those reviews could go in level threads, so it's basically the same deal.

Hi CST (Community Spotlight Team)! I really enjoy all that you do and would love to become a part of it. I am really behind in my regular reviewing, but that was because of family issues...now with family issues beside, I can jump with my sackboy once again! I am willing and ready to take on any challenge if I get picked to be on CST.
Here are a few of my reviews I have done, in my own review format.

---
A Journey by Syroc

Pros-
-a lot of backtracking
-many different contraptions
-detailed cave appearance
-many different sounds
-would not be difficult for new players
-you can't die when you hit the water (except for that one small waterfall after the cave)
-swiching between layers

Cons-
-not much deccoration (Example of what could be in the level: plant decoration.)
-green platforms were daft and i had no clue what pupose they had in this level
-takes pictures at the most daft parts of the level

Category: Adventure
Time: 8-10 min.
Difficulty: easy-medium
Gameplay: 8.5/10
Switching betwee layers and backtracking is good in a level like this.

Graphics: 8/10
Good job with the earthquake and other things, but it could have been a bit better with that green platform part.

Sound: 9/10
Outstanding sound throughout the entire level. Each part at least had 3-4 sounds. Great job!

Originality: 8/10
The level itself was original, but not a lot in the level.

Final: 8.5/10
Amazing level with good creativity and contraptions.
(Hearted the level.)

Subterranean Setbacks [1P/Hard] by rtm223

Pros-
-amazing detail
-backtracking
-many decorations and color
-many different obstacles
-different areas to explore
-funny text
-very original
-hidden areas
(this list could go on forever)

Cons-
-Only one con! Not enough sound. There could have been much, much more in it.

Category: Adventure/Platformer
Time: (OMG!) 15-20 min. (If you wish to explore and find all the hidden areas.)
10-15 min. (If you just want to zoom through it.)
Difficulty: medium-hard
Gameplay: 9.5/10
Great flow and a lot of backtracking, but it did get confusing in some areas, but all in all, great gameplay value.

Graphics: 10/10
Amazing detail! Decorations and stickers not misplaced! I am truly inspired!

Sound: 8.5/10
There was not enough sound, but each sound was where it should be and none were out of the ordinary.

Originality: 9.5/10
This level had so many contraptions that I had never seen before. Especially when you have to "sneak" passed the sleeping rats. That was the best part. I do not know how you did it!

Final: 9.5/10
One of the best levels I have ever played. Amazing! Thank you for letting me review it!

(Hearted both level and author.)

SIREN: The Lost World [Episode 2- Otherside] by Exalted_Yawn

Pros-
-highly detailed
-many different puzzles
-doesn't make you feel like your in a kid game
-many different paths
-you need to switch between layers many times
-choose your own difficulty
-there is a provided website for a walkthrough

Cons-
-needs more sound to it, like if you unclog the toilet there could be a farting noise or whatever (more like that)
That is the only con

Category: Escape/Puzzler
Time: 15-20 minutes
Difficulty: hard (hard, as in hard to find stuff)
Gameplay: 10/10
Awesome escape level! I was so thrilled to have reviewed it. The level has so much to accomplish and so much to discover.

Graphics: 8/10
The level could have been better, such as cracks and holes in a lot of the background areas. Or things breaking. But really good.

Sound: 9/10
There was some great sound, but I feel as if it still needs more. The sounds gave it a really scary feeling to it.

Originality: 10/10
I have never seen something like this before on LBP. Really great level!

Final: 9/10
It is up there with the top levels. Keep up the good work!

(Hearted both level and author.)

I really appreciate the open ?try outs? for CST, and I hope that I get picked as one of them. I am dedicated in everything that I do, but the only problem that I would face if I get picked is that I may get a large assignment at school, but that won?t happen for another year and a half. XD

Once again...Thank you so much for the opportunity!

Hey, got a question, I've got more than the necessary time to do all this, , and even been thinking of trying to join for a while now (heck sometimes I go with some of the crew when tiey're on their rounds. ), the only problem I've had is finding and orginization of level threads, I can easly do the do, but I don't know if I can keep track of all levels, so can you say what are these "Specific methods" the spotlight crew has to do this that you spoke of some posts back?2010-08-28 07:35:00

Basically, we can sort the Level Showcase by date of thread start, so it's fairly simple to weed out the levels that are "too old." Then we put them all into a table/spreadsheet for easy organization. You can then systematically go down the list and play the levels, leaving your comments in the table. That's all I will reveal thusly. If you're only concern is orgnanization, I wouldn't consider it an issue.

I'd also be interested in joining! I've been following many spotlights, and I've been in here for quite some time already. I believe that I'll have enough time to fulfill the spotlighting duties -I hope!-
Good thing is that I already know some people of the Spotlight crew, and I'm sure I'll can get along with them pretty well.
I actually was about to join at the very start of the summer, but I really couldn't because I was leaving for some months, but since I'm back and all, I think it's the right time to jump in the group, or at least try to!

That said, I'm gonna link here some feedback I gave. Gah, I swear I've really commented on people levels, but right now I just can't found the threads. Wait, I'll edit this later! I swear I gave feedback sometime, somewhere!

EDIT:

Cirque de la Nuit, by Ladyl1n-

Simply put, this level was like if you went to the circus while being high on drugs.

It looked good. What am I saying? It looked extremely good. I very much liked the "background" that you used for it. Those typical red and white looked terribly good. You also pulled some very, very cool tricks there. Making the platforms circular gave it a unique feel, and also did the fact that some sections were built all around a tightrope. I really liked that. It was a "What a smart idea, why didnt I think of that" moment.
I also liked the gameplay, even if at times I found it somewhat hard. Actually, thats why I liked it; hard gameplay is my thing. In all honesty, it became somewhat frustrating at times, but was overall enjoyable.
The boss was a cool one. It really was. The way he used his hand to kill you in oh so many way was very cool. I was a bit unsure about what to do at first, but after a few deaths it became clear.
Have I mentioned that I played the level with DajDaj, and that we all pointed out to him that some parts really resembled his? I mean this as a compliment, by the way. The simple fact that you could tell that you inspired certain parts of your level on his, goes to show how pretty your looks.

I have few nitpicks, though. First, the character design. I feel that it as kinda... I dunno. I really didnt like the plain colors you used on them, and I thought that their shapes didnt really look well; not as good as the rest of the level, at least. I'm afraid this includes the boss. You really could use more stickering, I believe. Still, I have to point out again that overall the level looked very good, specially because of the circus feel.
The other nitpick is about that wooedn PotC material choice, the one made of wooden beams. You used it right in some place, but in others it just felt... well, wrong. I am specially thinking of those tall, circular platforms. I believe that a metarial with a much simple tecture would fit better there.

But gah, what the hell. This was an incredible level and I lovd every bit of it. Way to go, Ladylin!
5 stars, and I'm not sure if I remembered to heart it D:

The Collector's Vacation island, by Richasackboy-

That was friggin outstanding!

I played and I very, very much loved it. Seriously. Who would guess that the collector had a vacation island? I guess all that stealing is pretty tiring, so he needs some relaxing after a while.

Anyways... where do I start? The character design was very good, and I very much loved the first part, with the collector in it. The visuals were also great. Actually, this is my fav thing of this level. How it looked. It really looked like the collectors vacation island! You mixed the two themes perfectly. You really did.

The gameplay was also very good. I got to say, though, that I liked the visuals more, since I didnt think that the gameplay was THAT innovative, specially compared to the aesthetics, but hell, it sure provided some good fun!

The music did also fit very well, and I just could find no flaws in the whole lvl. Thanks for such a masterpiece!

...and 5 stars indeed!

The temple mire, by Asbestos101

This is what I look for whenever I get into LBP. It has the kind of charm that I definetely appreciate. I specially loved the visuals; it's so fantasticaly mystic.
Such visuals were also perfectly melted with the gameolay, which is something that I dont see in many lvls. The aesthetics defined the gameplay, and the gameplay defined the aesthetics, if you get what I mean.
I also very much liked the design. I mean the character and vehicle design. The smoking frog was plain awesome, it delivered the kind of fantasy feel that I do love. And the vehicle -actually, not just the vehicle, the room in which was in too- looked perfect. I did really, really enjoy it, and when I get home I'll cant wait to play the prologue.
I always loved your single-lifed lvls, but I'm glad you moved onto something like this (even if its temporaly. Will we se another aerostation?)

5 stars, heart, and when I get home, creator heart!

PD: Looks like I only give very positive feedback, maybe not critique enough. I guess that's because I only comment on levels I very much liked, therefore hardly ever do I hand out less than 5 stars.
Hope I get into the team, it'll be nice to be part of the spotlight when the first lbp2 lvls come out!

One thing I'd like to know, is how much time approximately IS needed for the faffing and rating through the infinite Level Showcase...
Is 3 hours a day enough?

Also, what time (GMT) is the whole lot of you active?

3 hours a day would be sufficient, but you'd not have to do that every day. We pull the levels from the Level Showcase and organize them, so you're not actually faffing through the forums. As for when the team is active, that does vary... but one can operate whenever is convenient for him or her.

Wonderful. So, I'd like to participate!

Here are my 3 cents:

Panda-Monium by Chralex01

Ah, what a cute and cartooney level!

While the stickering is done nicely and there's very little cardboard showing (electric eels being one exception), I still think the big blocks of green and sections of empty blue sky could use a bit more detail, clouds or something? Also, the current 2-way switch with the red snake does look out-of-place.

Also the green hi-jump grass and the volcano parts did look a bit messy due to the odd cardboard bits, try covering them out with a thin foremost layer perhaps? There were also a few more awkward seams.

While the characters were't too detailed, they fulfilled their meaning well, cartoonisticly and plain. Just make the tortoise-rocking piston invisible.

And though the gameplay wasn't an intuitive, never-done-before-experience, you kept it varied and did deliver it in a nice package. I loved the hungry crocodile puzzle.

Overall, it's :star::star::star: from me, but will easily go to :star::star::star::star: if you fix the biggest visual issues.

Cave Story by Syroc:

Syroc's goodbye to LBP1's create mode is - great! Making a level dark is a good excuse for material overuse

Now for cons:
-After ramming off the excess rocks in the very beginning, if you fall off there into the water, you won't usually die, but have to swim to the gas. I'm lazy!
-The secrets might be useless, because most of us are too afraid of the dark to explore, and the deaths surely slander the rest of the enthusiasm
-The green monster boss was almost the easiest ?bstacle in the whole level...

Then pros:
+Fireflys: simple, cute, good to look at. A nice detail.
+The temple part with the electric wall: it did look good!
+The first boss battle (read: avoidance) with "mommy" was very simple, but oh so annoying
+The deep water in the dark, and the lightbulb fish () looked great!
+The whole water part was creepy, what with the eyes staring in the dark...
+The fire fuse and the light FX looked great, along very many other things
+How much fun can it be to feed explosives to green monsters?
+The two parts of ascension were both very nice

Overall, a very nice level for those whose screens can differ different shades - AKA very dark. Very.

Steam Paint - Locomotive Leviathan by croissantcupcake

On the first look the visuals might look a little blunt; but the flickering lightning and shades of red light sure fix that out.
The visuals have very great detail and steampunk in them, and the sounds and choice of music support them perfectly. The level is perfect eyecandy.
The turrets had a very detailed steampunk feel in them too, even though they shoot plazmas, (hot steam?). The gameplay was very nicely integrated in the visuals and functionality. Plus the excellent use of the 3D glitch. What not to like?

If there was 6 stars, you'd get them, but no, so :star::star::star::star::star: and an obvious <3

Did I mention it has awesome machinery?

I also think I'm very fun to play with, even though I don't have a mic

And, how do you make those expandable boxes in text?
And why does the text editor scroll bar have to be so annoying?

I had a question...

When does everyone find out who is in and who is out?
I wanted to know because some of us are a little impatient when it comes to joining things.

Sorry for the delay folks. I will be going through to review the applicants thus far to get an idea of who might be a good fit. In all likelihood, you guys will be brought on after the completion of the next spotlight, so there's not a huge rush. Expect to hear back by this weekend.

If you don't hear anything, then it was just not meant to be.

Thanks again.

wow, umm ok so i like playing levels and im not very busy so i have alot of time to play levels because truth be told, im not that old so im not very shure about code(its not my area of'experties&apos

if i were to revew ANY level it would probebly go like this:

A patchwork world,

The second i teliported into this amazing world of sponge and cotton i knew that i was in for a realy REALY good level.
the gameplay was just amazing and finding all the point bubbles was quite a chalange!
makeing a whole level out of sponge(exeption dm for logic) was always going to be a fun bouncy level!
FIVE STARS AND A HEART

so yeh its not like im going to get this spot but, you know the saying, if your not in it you dont win it or somthing like that.

(i also know words like ersatz, mycologist, austere dont know if that helps but oh yeh also hipopotomonsterosophobia, and antidisastablishmeninarienisum)

Hello, I would like to join your team because:
I once wrote in a local newspaper and I have a good understanding of literature,
I <3 LBP,
I<3 playing community levels,
I am also a excellent creator in mechanics and domestic items such as cars, tanks, walking robots, submarines and from houses to mansions,
I have a good sense of humour and I know my limits to it,

I have made a few LBP Tuorials on YouTube, and so far I am unrecognized. I don't have much time on my hands to play online, but in a few weeks I am going to be able to play more often. I know a good level when I see/play one and I am quick to have a verdict.

Here are 3 levels I have reviewed:
LittleDeadSpace - I love this level because of the depth and machinery it provides to make you feel like you are a part of the game. This level is THE most hearted level in ALL of LBP, and I think the best.
Reality: :star::star::star::star::star:
Machinery: :star::star::star::star::star:
Length: :star::star::star::star:
Overall: :star::star::star::star::star:

Aperture Science - I love these levels because of the creators imagination to reproduce a fantastic game. The machinery and story line make it one hell of a level.
Reality: :star::star::star:
Machinery: :star::star::star::star::star:
Length: :star::star::star::star::star:
Overall: :star::star::star::star: and a half.

Mini Machines - These levels are amazing. Here the creator has created suits that your sack climbs into, to battle fierce enemies! They are quite long, but not boring at the same time!
Reality: :star::star::star::star:
Machinery: :star::star::star::star::star:
Length: :star::star::star::star::star:
Overall: :star::star::star::star::star:

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Well before I head to my reasons, Here we go..
I've had LittleBigPlanet since it's very release date. I'm experienced.. My Profile crashed but I was still able to reach %100.. no trophies tho' which sucks. I have a mic. Yes I do have a great sense of humor. I eye VERY carefully on level quality. Like Creativeness, Style, Theme, Originality, etc.

1. I'm on EVERY DAY. Never will there ever be a day I will be offline for 24 hours.

2. I "Dig" LittleBigPlanet in search for quality levels. I don't check cool pages anymore because they aren't cool anymore.

3.:star::star: I am an excellent creator, I am Incredibly picky with what I Publish and create.:star::star:

Now, The Levels That I reviewed Would take up space. Please request one to know you're reading this. I have them Ready.

My Humor: Well, I'm sure you'll ask me.. How funny are you? What can thou do-eth?
Well, Here I got many improv awards. I can do accents, I can act as if I was my Sackperson, I know memes, Movie lines, Quotes, You name it. I'm a king at humor

Now before you think I might get too funny and forget what i'd be doing. Trust me I wont. I know my limits and what's right and wrong. I hope you guys can see this And would enjoy to have me on your crew.

I apologize because I had huge doubts my last application was proffesional. Now Here's my Real and true application.

-I am willing to play every, All, Any Level posted in the Levels Showcase. I will never exceed over 24 hours of being offline. EVERYDAY I will be online and play LittleBigPlanet.

-I have a well developed vocabulary and will treat all of my reviews seriously and type in-depth reviews with care and passion for satisfaction.

-I will rate and review levels fairly on qualities and Judge with advanced Criteria. I search for levels that are not always constantly made/copied onto the commnuity.

-I am very experienced in LittleBigPlanet. I have owned this game since it's release date and have made many unique, abstract creations for the LittleBigPlanet Community.

-I work very well with others and enjoy company in work. There is obviously no "I" in team. I will treat everyone with kindness, compassion and respect at all times.

-:star:I am known as very humorous, And have a passion for acting and theatre arts meaning I have good experience with voice acting and improvising lines. I am very Friendly and outgoing and will always respect people's Beliefs.:star:

I have A HQ BlueTooth Microphone used for communication to review these Levels And most of all have fun!

I would be grateful and very pleased to have me on your crew for the community Spotlight

- Kevin, PSN: Ishotthesherrif (Be Aware of Spelling)

:star:Thank you:star:

And I apologize for the last application I submitted that wasn't very professional.

That is fairly accurate. We're always on the lookout, but we are much less actively recruiting. If someone really wows us with a sentiment of interest, then there's no reason to not bring them on (Note: there are other factors as well).

However, most people can't even follow the directions in the post. Not really news, but worth restating.

Alright, to begin I would be (and am) very willing to play ALL of the spotlighted levels. And I can be on whenever I honestly have as much time as I could possibly need.
I have Had Little Big Planet Since about a month Before Summer Started. I have A lot Of hearted Levels, and I can Know a Good Level When I See it.
I am Perfectly Okay with (and actually hoping to be) Being in a Team Centered Environment. I’m Not Annoying (well not THAT annoying….) and I only like to argue with someone if there Being absurd.
I believe I’m Very Competent in Writing and Word Usage. (I was on a 10th grade to 11th grade reading level in 6th grade)
I’m Familiar with the Accountant world, So I’m Very Good With Excel.
As far as I know I am Not Threatened by the V-Bulletin code.
Frankly, the only thing I actually love more Than Little Big Planet is Talking and Hanging out with my Friends. I am Very open minded, and always happy to meet someone New.
I’m Not sure how one judges Helpfulness around the forums but I guess I would get 2 enthusiastic thumbs up!
Oh and the only thing I'm not exactly Tech-savvy about is how to make those Links

Here are a few of my Level Reviews. I never Published these. I apologize.

Well Thanks For Taking the Time To Consider me for part of the Spotlight Team.
Please Enjoy.

The Star wars Series By Julesy Jules:

The Verdict: :star::star::star::star::star:

Story: Well, It's star wars what do you expect?
Playability: Wow, this guy has Some skills is all I can say.
Originality: Well, as much as a parody can get.
Sound: As close as it can get to the original, honestly.

Possibly Funnier than Peter Griffin Creator Julesy_Jules has no problem Finding Hilarity in Somewhat Overlooked areas of the Classic Star wars trilogy. (which spans several levels) No Matter Which level you choose, you can be rest assured that you’re in for a Laughing Stock of Grin Inducing Jokes (i don't think that was a real Sentence) However, you may find yourself in a Bit of a Pickle, every once in a while you'll get stuck possibly have to restart the entire level, and while this may not be Too Upsetting after a few Tries you can expect to Throw your Remote Across the Room. Possibly an Addition of Infinite Life Checkpoints would make it that much Better. In any case, Julesy_Jules Plays, Creates, And share's His way into the Little Big History Books. Which are presented in Star wars Style Scrolling Text.

The Bunker By Poms:

The Verdict: :star::star::star::star::star:

Story: Well.........
Playability: Incredible!
Originality: It's Just Awesome dude i mean........
Sound: Yep, Awesome.

Story can Take you a Long way, but sometimes it just takes some of the Best Game play around to Make you Squeal With Joy. (not that i squeal i never squeal as far as you know *squeal) Basically Take the Awesomeness of Poms take the Super Logic of steve_big_Guns, take something that will make you cry because your not even a billionth as awesome as that and make it Infinitely Better and your on the right track if you wanna imagine This Level. There is quite Literally Nothing Negative to Say about this Level. So instead of just Complimenting the Thing, I'll talk about specifics. You Begin In a type of Jail Cell and what I imagined the Story was Saying was that you had friends on the outside, and they Rigged The Lamp to Carry you out, and allow you to jump down to a Pipe system, from there you go through a Ventilation Fan, and you start to fly Upwards on your Jetpack while needing to avoid Falling Fiery Rocks. You Continue to Fly Upwards and after a few Puzzles you Meet A Type of Boss and You come Face to Face with one of the most Clever Machine Used to Move Objects in between Layers. And that opens a Door To An Incredible Adventure. The Thing about this Level is That It allows you to imagine your own story. And that allows it be even more Awesome. In the End, Poms Delivers an Intuitive and Incredible Adventure. Now what can you say against that?

Aperture Laboratories By comphermc:

The Verdict :star::star::star::star::star:

Story: Journey Back Into Aperture Laboratories, and see what the Paintinator Can do.
Playability: Sorry, no portals.
Originality: This was a Triumph.
Sound: There was Sound?

The Cake May not be a lie in The New Aperture Science. With Your Trusty Paintinator Gun at your Side and a few Storage Cubes ready to help, prepare to shoot and grab and shoot and grab…….your way throughout the 2D halls of GLaDOS’s Playhouse and while the portals may be absent the Fun and Puzzle solving is still there and in one of the best looking ways you’ve ever seen! However, Not including the portals really does take away from the Experience. And while I realize it would’ve been hard to include working portals (no sarcasm intended but certainly not discriminated against) I’m sure there could’ve been some kind of substitute, maybe even a groan inducing punchline to explain something. Anyway, the Environments are Surprisingly Detailed and the Turrets are Much Bigger than you, which is funny considering Sackboy's Size. Easily worth a Giggle if you just take a minute to think about it. In the End comphermc creates a fun and endearing Level that will keep you thinking long after you turn off your PS3 to go eat some Cake.

I wanna Say Thanks Again for Considering me For a Spot in Your Incredible Spotlight Team Roster!

EDIT I Corrected Some Spelling and grammer issues added some more details and added a third Review. This was originally Thanked by Julesy_Jules and poms themselves. I'm VERY Determined to be apart of this. And I'll do everything i can to get in!!!!

Comma....V....needed here.

Originality: Well As Much as a Parody Can Get.

Sound: As close as it can get to the original Honestly.

Another thing you need to consider if you want to be a writer is your use of capital letters!
Got bored of highlighting them, but you get the gist! You also use the word "Well" to start the subtitles too often.

Not complaining, Just giving you some friendly advice!

Hey, These are three reasons why i would like to join

Im reasonably good at reviewing levels,
e.g.
The bunker (not the story mode version)

This thrilling adventure opens a gateway to fantastic new ideas.
Try to escape an old grubby prison.(e.g. finished)

Also levels on the cool pages arent cool any more, they ar filled up with the same levels. Either bombsurvivals or 50 jumps of doom. And they all get loads of hearts.

Just a few of my favourite creators:

ATLegend
coco31063 (just kiddin)
TheAmazingFlyingPoo
LBPC

also lol at the 2 hot 4 lbpc

Dear Mr. Comphermc,

I hope you would consider me as part of the newest entry into your crew of reviewers. For a number of years I have been a gamer at heart for all game varieties and can appreciate the different tastes that LBP creators bring to the table. I have been incredibly intrigued with LBP the moment my wife (yes, it was originally for her ) brought it home. The ease of use of this incredibly powerful game wrapped up in a neat little box was what my childhood fantasies longed for...Creativity. I have actually only done three reviews thus far as I am very new to LBP Central and have only published one level myself, but don't judge me for my own production level, they say most coaches were far better coaching then they were ever players

I am more than competent with MS Excel and can handle basic code. Furthermore, I am pretty familiar with the LBP world in general and have learned quite a bit from creating my first level. It's in fact in the F4F currently to see what other ideas could be brought to my attention. I understand constructive criticism and find that its the best thing you as an individual can grasp a hold of...and most of the time its free

My three reviews:

1)Review of 'Parakee Isles, the series'
Okay, where to start?? Your level idea was a good one and unique in its own right. First and foremost, when you go through the series and finish it, you are left with a lingering question on why 2 and 3 was so much shorter than the first. I would combine the last two into one so it can have some substance. As for all the switches and sound effects, they were all visible. Certainly eliminate that so the user can feel more engulfed with the world you created for them. For the art work and graphical presentation, it was good but very jagged. Take a little more time to smooth out the edges (im still working and learning this one!). I often found myself not knowing where to go, perhaps a little more direction for the users will help keep things moving along? I also got stuck in the Black vehicle and was unable to get out and had to restart the level. The other two vehicles worked fine. There was also a part where you fall down into a hole and find a teddy bear, I was confused with this one as it seemed very out of place and there was no way out, so I was left with popping my character to a checkpoint. Not sure if this was intended, but I could see many people just exiting the level at that point instead of going back to the check point. I would make a way out, or if there is one, certainly make it clearer. Oh, and certainly go back to the dialog and take the time to capitalize the sentences and check spelling and grammar. Yes I know it sounds nit picky and all, but it really shows that you take time in your work and the overall presentation is doubled. All and all, it was entertaining. I would just spend more time on polishing things out and decorate more to create a believable environment. I rated -- :star::star::star: Will certainly play it again if you make some updates!

2)Review of 'The River Styx'
Well Gigglecrab, I have to say I will walk away with several ideas spawning from your level, The River Styx. It's too bad you can't transfer the atmosphere you created into the picture links you provided as it was top notch creepy and set the tone immediately. Fantastically done with the visuals and great usage of water. Not over the top and the lighting provided in the water kept you enthralled to pursue further into your world. So all and all, graphical presentation was top notch with the exception and I may be hated for this one, but the final boss was lackluster compared to its environment. The Boss prior however was fantastically detailed and I wanted to stop and just stare at the detail. Unfortunately this couldn't be done for too long. Soundtrack fit perfectly and environment sounds were done very well throughout. Game play was simple and quite direct, jump here to there but oddly enough it was perfectly fine and entertaining. The boss fights I honestly think could use a tad more work, it just felt something was missing. The use of falling rocks were spot on during the game.

This was done very well and pushing towards 5 stars, but will have to give it 4 stars simply because of the boss fights. There was one part in the level that actually had me wondering if I should really push forward or not (as it actually had my nerves and hair standing up), but I don't want to spoil the fun for others...

Excellent Level, :star::star::star::star: <3

3)Review of 'Utopia'
Well Magnum, I was attempting to play your level, but unfortunately my thermo got too hot. Your level, well, is quite frustrating. I consider myself a gamer with lots of patience, but for some reason, it just became too overwhelming. The beginning after you exit the taxi scene you have four and only four rock pillars to stand on, no big deal, but trying to go to your left and falling off a cloud or tree or not know to grab the cloud or be on top of it and then starting over....well you get the idea. Moving forward to the spinning wheels that are off-center. This is where it ended for me. Because the wheel is off-center, this leaves the open variable of your sackperson grabbing a hold of the wheel with little to no thrust when letting go. So this means, you have to grab the outer most part of the wheel that circles with the greatest circumference to get that extra oomph. BUT, the problem there is there is too little room to adjust if your first grab on the wheel is in the wrong spot. You have to let go and re-grab to try and make your way out to the furthest spot. Tricky, clever, do-able and extremely frustrating. I think you will find most people ending it at this point. Suggestions, make the wheel's motor bolts in the center so there's no need for the mid air quadruple 360 back-flip then grab scenario. Be more then happy to give it a go and provide other feedback if this area is changed. I'm genuinely interested on whats ahead.

~~

Thanks for the consideration!

Hello Community Spotlight applicants! Please don't think we're ignoring you - we're reading through all your applications in depth to see who's awesome. But, please bear in mind that we're well staffed at the moment (there are around 8 to 10 of us active on each Spotlight) so we are unlikely to be hiring again until LBP2 is released, or someone leaves. But don't let that stop you from applying!

Thanks!

Sounds great to me....figured I would have the resume in with the other stack of papers

Either way, I know it specified REVIEWS and not simple feedback, so I figured I would take a whack at an actual review. I decided to review a Ratchet & Clank level by Midnight_Heist and it turned out like this...

Ratchet & Clank - Up Your Arsenal: "Deja Q"

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4147/5131039142_afdcffd88a.jpg (http://www.flickr.com/photos/55176054@N05/5131039142/)

CREATED BY: Midnight_Heist
REVIEW BY: John82WA

The ever so popular Ratchet & Clank series has been a monumental success in regards to the support of Sony's PlayStation console lineup. Midnight_Heist has brought the same charm and action over to our very own Little Big Planet universe. As described in the description, you start off as not Ratchet, but Captain Qwark to put an end to the evil Dr. Nefarious. This process entails traveling through the city Metropiolis and fighting off its inhabitants along the way until your final stand off again Dr. Nefarious. The environment that has been set and placed gives more than enough justice to the Vid Comic series.

http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1215/5131039218_33e8e9a4ae.jpg (http://www.flickr.com/photos/55176054@N05/5131039218/)
The graphical presentation is nearly flawless in the reproduction of this world. The very boxes that Qwark leaps to and fro are in every way an identical match. Midnight_Heist's attention to detail didn't stop there but continued to the background as well. Colors are vibrant and objects are clear as can be. There is no mistaking what you are doing or where you are heading in this side scroller. Perhaps the biggest visual treat is the Paintinator upgrade. Sadly you are unable to see it visually in your sack persons hand, but you can't help but feel you have an upgrade.

http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1405/5130437419_e1a24d39d3.jpg (http://www.flickr.com/photos/55176054@N05/5130437419/)
Gameplay is well balanced and challenging. Jumping from box to box is in perfect stride with our little sackpeoples abilities. The fight / battle sequences were done exceptionally well. With any platformer/side scrolling game, you must learn patterns and this was what helped this level achieve the perfect balance in difficulty. While this Ratchet & Clank was limited to just one layer, it gave the appropriate feel to the game its replicating. Many might find it as a downfall, but again, it works to this games advantage and clearly achieves the goal Midnight_Heist set out to do.

Sound has always been a downfall in LBP when your attempting to recreate anything outside of Media Molecules levels. Because of this, the game suffers from a wholesome experience you would find from the original game. It doesn't help that the Vid Comic 'Deja Q' has one of the best and memorable sound tracks of the Ratchet and Clank series. It also falls slightly short of environmental sounds but luckily enough, the charm pulls you through with out much thought.

http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1158/5130437401_95158b4446.jpg (http://www.flickr.com/photos/55176054@N05/5130437401/)
[url=http://www.flickr.com/people/55176054@N05/] (http://www.flickr.com/photos/55176054@N05/5130437401/)
Re-playability is also a very difficult thing to accomplish in LBP worlds. Perhaps the best achievement in all of this, is the simple reason that you actually want to go back and play it just one more time. This is a monumental feat in my opinion. How many levels can you say that you want to go back and play? Not many.

Midnight_Heist has done a fantastic job in capturing the look, the feel, the entertainment and the 'I want to play it one more time' feeling that the true gamer wants to feel.
Ratchet & Clank - Up Your Arsenal: "Deja Q" You have my :star::star::star::star::star: and a very large <3

Happy Gaming

Hey i would love to give it a crack!

first of all i play most of the levels in the showcase
i am a good writer and i know a quality level when i see it
i am experienced in the world of little big planet - eg. I have aced the collector, frozen tundra and the collectors lair -
i can work in a team although i would rather work by myself but we will let that go for now!
-
i am comfortable working with MS Excel
and i can work with vbulletin code
i am a helpful person when it comes to it and i do like a bit of a joke as long as it dosent go too far!

but enough of that onto my examples
lockstitch - vile ancorage
Gameplay
-
The gameplay is awesome, water , spikes and a lot more.

as lockstitch said he was focusing on "innovative platforming"
the story really takes you to another place and the graphics are :star::star::star::star::star:

the story is ' sackboy finds himself in a graveyard of sunken ships but something else lurks in the graveyard and it is up to sackboy to find out what.

also well done on getting it on the MM picks!

the tank factory 2 - onturenio
this level contains clear aesthetics and a good look, it also must have a hell of a lot of logic and it sure is a level to try as it contains some skill to complete

it also has some hell of a lot of work put into it to create

gameplay and the sound affects really work

other than that :star::star::star::star:

whispering oak - xQziCyFlaMeZxQz_
in this level you have to jump swing and land - a bit like tarzan! -

the visual aspect of the game is jaw dropping and contains some really good gameplay,

this ;evel should definately get :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3 i would give it :star::star::star::star::star::star: but i cant!

Apparently you guys have about a thousand levels to play(according to Aya) and I have tons of free time as it stands now.

Not sure if I ever posted feedback in the level showcase but I know how to spot level quality and can tell whats a Ramp and whats a AAA level

Hope this counts as an application.

Don't know if you guys are still reading these, but (sorry to imitate you Brem) I have much free time, and in fact am very willing to
help a hand where it tis needed.

I also believe I can spot the levels that are overlooked despite their quality.
Why I of course cannot find every gem, I can guarantee that many will be recovered from within the deep linen basket (not exactly the best choice of words..) that is the LBP community.

I would also like to raise my hand in acceptance of this challenge. I spend a lot of time creating but I have no problem with taking a look at all the wonderful levels posted to this showcase, in fact, I already play most of them so not much difference

Examples of reviews:

On MuddledMuppet's Shakespeare:

Verily, I found your review most satisfying, and commentary foretold of good prophecies, nay, I speak complete idiocy in th' shakespearean tongue.

You would never guess I was a Writing Student, with prose like that.

Anywho, your review, my fair gent.

First of all, your set design is really nice, but I'd personally love to see some more dramatic lighting - why not make it really quite dark and foggy, and have a go at having the lights on dimmer so that your actor is dramatically revealed?

Sound quality is great! I'd be really interested to know what kind of mic you use

There is some movement at the beginning, but things are a little static on the whole. I think if you had a few more little details like the fire - eye candy if you like, and some dramatic lighting, this may help the situation without having to redo all your good acting!

I'm amazed that the loading time is so good with all this dialogue! Makes me really want to go ahead and record my own voices too!

On the whole sir, I am impressed. Forsooth, You shall be hearted and spoken of with good will, for thou art a master of thy craft.

Seriously, really good. Nice change of pace to see a serious take on something (so speaketh the hypocrite!)

On CitrusRobot's The Great Forest:

Looks:

Very professional feel to the look of this level. Everything felt like it was part of a theme, like it belonged there. The look of the creatures was lovely - as someone else mentioned, very creative and original feel to it. The fluttering wings were an especially nice touch!

I assume that the Bugs take damage at some point, however I couldn't spot any obvious visual cue about what sort of lives I had left, so couldn't see the merit in collecting fruits. Some sort of light indicator or hologram life bar would be perfect here.

Playability:

Difficulty level is slightly easy, but rather frustrating on the bug controls. I agree with a previous poster - make the player's bug spin faster. It will greatly help the player to aim quicker and get around your level with more ease.

Playability on the whole was good, puzzles were limited but enjoyable, the Boss at the end needs some tweaking. Again, I'm repeating what another has said, but I wholeheartedly agree with blizzard_cool. The boss is very doable in multiplayer at the moment, as one of you can distract him while another shoots his bum, however when you are in single player mode, his little friends just keep getting in the way, and he follows so quickly you haven't a chance to get around.

Overall:

Brilliant, a little tweaking and this will be a fantastic level.

On Phort's Cave Story Remake:

You must forgive me for this, but I never played the original game, so I can't really do a comparison as a remake, but here's my feedback:

Looks:

Wow. Love the look of this. Perfect retro feel to it and the enemies were really nicely animated. It felt, I don't know, right. The animation of the sackbot is lovely, and the weapon firing is also really well animated (I especially like the little holo-blasts at the end of your range). No problems here.

Playability:

As this is a remake, I can't say much about the layout of the level, how challenging it is etc. Needless to say it is nice that you have to find your own way (as we always did back then) and figure out how to finally shoot those little blighters out of thin air! (They really irritated me till I got my gun!)

The aiming could do with some tweaking. I guess I found it a little hard to aim and move at the same time, instead jumping into enemies rather than killing them, which irked me a little, but if this was the case in the original game it's all good.

The only thing which I felt really took away from this level are the physics inherent to LBP itself. Sackboy (bot?) floats about so often that you find yourself taken by the spikes on the walls very often. Could you perhaps play around with global gravity and make the jumps feel more solid? That would raise this from 4 stars to 5 imho.

Rating:

A definate yay from me! Lord knows I'd never be able to do it!!

I truly can't wait to see more.

If the spotlight crew needs help I'd be more than happy to help out! I have plenty of free time, and I'm currently taking a break from create until fall. I also can spot quality when I see it, so give me a chance.

Here's my links.

Due to the shortage of spotlights (not to be rude or anything) I'm guessing you guys (and Morgana ) are still looking for people to help out... If so, here's some example of my feedback:

1:

Wizard: Chapter 1 - From Within
Score: 9.8/10
Rating: & <3 {:star::star::star::star::star:}
By: Comphermc

Phenomenal stuff. And then some.

Story: 8/10
Not the most in depth story, but enough to keep me interested a bit.

Music Choice/SFX: 9/10
The sequenced music is great, especially when it changes a bit in the 2nd section. However, it got kinda repetitive and stale after a while. But the real beauty in the level is the SFX. Every little thing had a SFX which is great. I feel like lots of creators leave the SFX out, but you, you deserve a cookie.

http://forums.49ers.com/messageboard/images/smilies/cookie.gif

Appearance: 10/10
Very Very nice. I like the castle feeling to it. The lighting is very in depth, and no matter what Gamma setting you have, the lights always look great. The Material choice is perfect, it gives you the feeling of a old rickety castle. The objects you created were quite amazing as well. I really liked a the crumbling effects you had on certain edges; It reminded me of A Cloudy Chance of Teamwork, you did that in there as well.

Concept Workmanship: 9.8/10
Phenomenal concept that is completely original and never broke. Ever. It runs very smoothly. It's created in a way that adds a lot to gameplay. I poke down to a 9.8 because it was kinda frustrating when you had lots of health pickups, but you forget to use one, then you lose all of them on the respawn. Especially on the elevator, it sets you up on a very bad dying streak :kz:

Cutscenes: 10/10
Very nice. I really liked the one near the sublevel change before you enter the library. I have to ask though: How do you get the cutscenes without the black borders?!? I really like how you did that. It had me feeling like I was watching a full movie, unlike most cutscenes in other levels. Great job.

Gameplay: 9.7/10
As said... The concept really makes this level a fun play. The combat is perfect, and looks great as well. By the way, you are very clever. Some of the gameplay sequences had me saying to myself, "He is so clever!!!" lol. But seriously.

I knocked you down a little bit here, because of that elevator part. As said in the Concept Workmanship, I lost all my health pickups and went on a very bad dying streak. Also, the part with the library was a little confusing. It was hard to tell which layer opens that small passage. Other than that, everything was top notch perfect. The boss was well designed and was fun to play through.

Overall: 9.8/10 (not an average)
Awesome stuff. I played the beta for this a while ago and loved it instantly, but with this full version I was like You see, I'm a Harry Potter fan so this was right up my alley. I also noticed that this is Mm Picked! Congrats!! This is your first one right? Well you deserve it. In my opinion you deserved it a long time ago.. But that's beside the point :hero:

You did a great great job on this level, and it will become an instant classic. I gave you a & a <3 but if I was on the rating system I prefer from LBP1... I would give you :star::star::star::star::star:

-Valmassoi

2:

When I saw this on the cool pages I was like "^_^ New Morgana level!!" :hero:

Full review time...

Sackrificed
Score: 9.5/10
Rating: & <3 {:star::star::star::star::star:}
By: Morgana

A Simple plotline revolves around a very well put together level.

Story: 9/10
Not very in depth, which is fine. It is very well put together though, and humorous at times.

Music Choice: 10/10
The music is chosen perfectly! It fit in just great.

Appearance: 10/10
People really are right about you. How you use tons and tons of lights. Because it's true! Which is a good thing btw The lights are what make the scenery work inside the volcano. They add so much depth to the material's texture. I also noticed you put a lot of effort in the fire. You didn't just use simple fire, you used waterfall but made it look like fire. Clever!

Gameplay: 9.5/10
All original, and great. The collection of the eggs really add to the replay value which is a great idea. I feel like lots of creators don't have stuff in their levels that make you want to play it through again, but you, you are one smart cookie I'm a former PSPer where I've been through tons of volcano levels. And I asked myself a while ago why there aren't very many "lava rising" things on PS3. I could be missing them.. But you're the first to actually do it right. It looked great, worked great, and made me happy.

Overall: 9.5/10 (not an average)
Great stuff. After reading Comphermc's review I have to say thank you for recreating this from the beta. It's very well done and I want to play it again. I gave you a & a <3 If I was on LBP1 with the better rating system (in my opinion) I would give you a perfect 5 :star:s

-Valmassoi

3:

Night Sky Dreams
Score: 7.2/10
Rating: :star::star::star::star:
By: DizzyZebra (bubbles550)

A very nice exploration level.

Story: N/A/10
Just walking and exploring, no story needed.

Music/SFX Choice: 9/10
The music is well chosen for this level and it fit in. There's not many places you could put SFX in, but I noticed you did twinkles.

Appearance: 9.7/10
This is what really makes the level good. Corner editing is amazing which makes the ice look very real. Materials are well chosen and the building look great! Sticker work is real cool.

Creatures/Objects: 9.2/10
As said before, the buildings look really cool. The lightpost is realistic as well as everything else. You did you a dog template though The stars look great.

Gameplay: 6.1/10
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against exploration levels. But when you make one, you gotta make sure you don't get stuck in places! I was able to jump from the chimney to the other side of the lightpost where I fell out of the level. I had to hit retry. Three times I landed down where the dog was and I couldn't get back up to the lights I had to jump on. Three more retries. I fell from the stars back down to the city where I landed into a checkpoint five times. I had to do the whole level again FIVE TIMES Putting some horrible gas between the stars and the city would be nice. There was literally like no time to get the sticker switch on the rocket, but I got it after 5 tries. I liked the end

Overall: 7.2/10 (not an average)
I say this again, don't get me wrong, I liked this level a lot. It just had that many problems to lower the score. I heard you're making another version of this, so I hope you take these things I said into consideration. Anyways if this is your first level I say congrats because you've found your style of level making I gave you :star::star::star::star:

I've done tons and tons of reviews like this in my dead PSP review thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=32001-Valmassoi-s-PSP-Reviews!) as well.

Hey people, thanks for volunteering! We're now gonna start trying to get the cogs turning again, and the people we've picked should soon be getting a message, and hence access to the spotlight dev forum. There's lots of helpful material in there, so it should be easy for you to get started. I'll be going in there to write some more stuff soon hopefully, specially for ye newcomers, because if I'm quite honest there aren't many of the old spotlight crew in there to help you out. And I'm not gonna lie to you, it will be hard work getting the ball rolling again. I think the plan is at the moment that the spotlight starts as normal when PSN goes back up, and we make a decision on what we do with the backlog separately, so I wouldn't worry about that.

Once again, thanks for applying!!

Well I enter before but I will bring you guys a more current review of my ok I would really like to help the spotlight team by playing levels. Im a huge contributer to the site, I help people in anyway possible and by helping the spotlight team it would be a even bigger contribution to the LBP community.

Here one review

I played this level many time and never gave my personal review. First let me say congrats on the Mm picked, now onto the review!

Wizard Chapter 1

Gameplay: The gameplay of this level is outstanding, the use of spells, power ups, and cheat codes gave the levels gameplay a smoth and outgoing expericen from jumping to one platform to another you keep the players at there toes. By making the AI enemys jump and run and have similar powers as you it also balence out the overall power of the gameplay by not making it too hard or easy. Aswell for the advancing tutorial section of the level by learning how to do individual moves while you move on with the level was a smart was of teaching the players with out them have to remember it all in 1 go. What some parts lack is the use of decorations and obstacle difficulty, there are some parts that involve to low of a jump or run and parts a deserve more decorations and stickers but most of the level doesn't have that problem.

Music/ Sound affects: The levels music is very creative along with the sound affects, every jump, run, crack in the wall, or even killing a bug the players can hear it all and is just bueatiful. The music there isn't much to say but just awesome! the way it changes thought the level makes it even better specialy if it doesn't sound like an infinited lop that gets annoying.

Story: Well the story is really nice but never detailed, it never explain whats going on or how you are (yes we know you are a wizer but still) the story needs to show a lot more detail on whats going on where are you, ect...

Visualization: The Levels visual is jaw doping, every part of the level is full with beautiful and creative work specially the use of the stickers in the flags. The boss contains details like I never seen before a perfect conbination that not most creators achieve, specially the purple goo material with the eggs that was very creative. Also the way the rocks breaks everytime i do a move is incredible.

Boss battle: The Boss battle is incredible, specially when you have to run adn jump to chat up to this guys that has the same powers as you. The Boss is very creative along with his moves. The way that he pins you down with his web is very creative and his spit attack aswell. Plus his little friends are not bad too. The only disappointing part was the boss moves, he only has 3 attacks with disappointed me, I was hoping that created a huge spider wave that hurts the player but this can be overlook.

Overall: The level was a very smooth and magnificent level, no wounder it got Mm pick. Im hopeing to see part 2 of this level and to get a look at his new powers.

Overall score 9.8/10

Here is another review.

Well I played this level before the PSN went down and never wrote a review, so here I go.

Frozen Flame Chapter 2

Gameplay: The game play of this level is absolutely phenomenal, top down levels come with many defects like lag of powers, environments and so on, but you capture it perfectly in this level. The way the character works and the many enemys that are in the level just made me want to go back and fight them all again. Aswell for the powers if each character was just magnificent and would make me go out and play this level again, the powers, enemys, and RPG style of the level is very outstanding. What needs improvement is the difficulty setting of this level and health system, due to the fact that some parts of this level is super hard and you dont have enough health, but this are just some minor improvements.

Story: The story of the level is really solid, ever since part 1 came out it explain everything about the characters which I really like. The way the character interacts with you is very important to the level aspect and you master it. Even the character interaction with others people and the environment is incredible.

Visualization: The Visual of the level is breathtakingly awesome, every single room, house, enemy, character is very well design with ton of sticker, decoration, and material. This level has a breath stunning look that not a lot of people achieve, what I think brings the player in more well the logo of the level itself is just magnificent how you created. There are some parts in the level that looks blank but thats it no more than 1 part.

Music/ Sound affects: The music in the level is really nice it brings the level together really nicely. The sound affects is very nice and creative, almost everything you do in this level has a sound which is really creative.

Overall: Overall this is one magnificent levels, the way you create this level is really outstanding. Im hoping to see part 3 of this level. This level is a must play level and no one should miss.

Overall score: 9.7

I will add more tomorrow because is 11PM here lol

Hey, I just read the riving community spotlight thread, and being a big fan of the spotlight really want to get it back on it's feet. Right now, for my last 3 weeks of school I'm busy with finals, but come day 1 of Summer I'd really like to help get cracking on those 2000+ levels. I play Football and have 2 vacations, so apart from that I'm fully dedicated to this.
So...
1. I'll play any level I'm required to play
2. I am indeed quite fluent in my English writing skills, and as you just perceived I am quite suited, in my aspect, with good word usage . I also get only A's and B's in my Higher Placement Language Arts Class.
3. I know a quality level when I see it. I've been on since June 2010, and I've played at least 500 levels.
4. I've had LBP since Christmas 2009, and am very experianced with it. I'm great with logic and was able to rise as one of the better PSPers in it's day.
5. I'm great at working with teams. I get my share done and am fine doing others when they need help. I play a lot of sports (Pole vault, Basketball, baseball, track, Football, and volleyball) and am used to teamwork and everything that has to do with it.
6. I'm great at Excel. Helped teach my parents how to use it
7. No clue to what vbulletin coding is. However I'm a bit oriented with Flash Action script and basic scripting if that helps...
8. Not to brag, but you don't know humor until you have talked to me. Not to mention, but I placed 5th in my High school pun-off competition, and now everyone knows me for puns.
9.I am nice to everyone on here and I regularly help the new people on the site (welcome them on introduce yourself thread, give brief feedback for free, tell them where to post things when posting in wrong category, answer things in help! forum, and give feedback and comment on level thread with no replies or plays.

Feedback wise, I never do much full scale reviews. Heres my best review though.
1. Hayal Dunasi Feedback. This was on PSP side
https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=39134-Hayal-D%FCnyasi

OK, I had a great time playing this level, and thought it was very well done. However, some of the parts were kind of awkward and more dificult than they needed to be. At least twice in the level I didn't know where to go or do, such as I didn't know to actually platform mover to the flower with the dancing mushrooms, and the emitted pink thorns were hard to maveuver, and the thorns in the beginning of the stomach were pretty difficult to get past too. There was also a lack of checkpoints in some parts, and it got annoying everytime I'd die on an awkward part to keep going throught other hard parts I'd already beaten. Here is a rating system:
Platforming: besides the awkward parts above, it was very fun! I've never seen anything like the dancing mushrooms and wind ridding shrooms in the beginning! 17/20
Graphics: Incredible! I haven't seen anything like the stomach since Zen and as much vibrant color since Bird of Paradise! 20/20!
Corner editing: The shrooms, flowers, and stomach were all increbible! Great job with them! However, the rest of the scenery could have been a bit better, such as the platforming to flower and a few other parts. 18/20
Gameplay/logic: I think that the logic you used worked well and was very unique, and I saw no lag whatsoever during parts that required it. Everything that moved worked great, and nothing at all broke! 20/20
Creativity: This level is entirely unique, I have never seen a story quite like this. 20/20
Total: 95/100
I can't wait for the sequel! If you can just remember to fix up the awkward platforming, explain parts and use camera angles a little more, but maintain everything else, I'm sure the sequel will be perfect in every way! Great job!

2. Holloween Hollow Ship. This was more of a brief feedback, nothing special.
https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=38961-Halloween-Hallow-Ship

Wow, I have never seen such an incredible introduction. The hamster ball time portal... all the emitted objects... the beautiful stickering... this stuff just blew me away.
The one issue that was so small that could have been better: The rock emitter at the boss fight was capable of shooting way too many rocks at a time, and it made it wasier to beat the boss. But this detail was so small it was nearly unnoticeable due to all the surrounding awesomeness!
The only thing scarier than this level is how much complex logic was put in this for the boss fight and intro. The though just scares me more than anything else, I probably would go insane after trying to pull half of it off.
Can't wait to see wait you come up with next!

3. will find later, out of time

I am very interested in this, I would love to be involved with the spotlight staff. I am online (on PSN) an average of 5 hours a day, and 24/7 on weekends (3:30pm-9:00pm Monday-Thursday, All day on Friday-Sunday) and so I will have a large amount of time to play many levels. I often find myself on LBP looking for something to do, without success, so having a list of levels to "test" or review will benefit me as well. I enjoy writing, and I have been told I'm a very good story writer (My writing is found here ---->https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=54872-Lucid-Skies-of-Depression-%28NOVEL%29&p=835219#post835219)
I woke up to the thick aroma of fresh coffee, a smell un-common to my quiet, shared, apartment, so I know today must be special. I step into the empty hallway and continue on into our small kitchen, where I find my older brother, Jamnes, stirring a cup of coffee."Whats this?" I say, seeing how my brother never makes coffee. He says
"Can't a guy make some coffee?"
"Of course.." I say, in disbelief of his sudden responsibility,"But since when did you stop buying your coffee from the convient store?"
"Well today.......I'm celebrating!"
"...what?"
"I got accepted to begin training for the Marines!"
"Well, You ARE very fit, I can imagine why they want YOU."
"Your right" He says, and hands me the second cup of coffee. I take his generous offer, and sit at the dining room table. I spent most of the day talking to Jamnes about what this means, and how dangerous it could be, but he understands. "I have to make a difference," Is all he manages to say.
Chapter one
The next day, I’m yet again waking up to the smell of my brother making coffee, I jump out of bed and begin walking over to the kitchen. As I walk into the kitchen, when I begin to Greet my brother, All I see is a puddle of coffee where He stood just yesterday morning."Jamnes?" I yell, "Where are you?" Then I notice a card, floating towards the center of a spill of still warm coffee. It has my name on it, in blue ink.
Dear Rain,
I have Jamnes, We will meet some time soon.
If you try to run, I WILL find you, And make sure you see Jamnes,
But if you want him ALIVE,You cannot get away this time....

That was a chapter excerpt from a book I am developing(myself) on a computer program. I have another post on that link, it is a suggested paragraph I wrote for a friend to add to his other book.
When donnie woke, his head ached like never before. The floor was cold and sent chills up his spine. "Take it, stupid boy" said a voice through the small slot. There was a tray in the man's hand. The man dropped the tray on the floor and spat at donnie. "rebels are (insert rude word here?)" sighed the unidentified man. Donnie reached for the tray, carefully avoiding the mess that man left behind. He was disappointed to see that the tray only held a cup of muddy water and a crusty sandwich. Donnie scarfed the disgusting sandwich down and took a gulp of the murky water. Horrible, was the only word to describe this food. He pushed the tray to the wall and it clanked across the room. Donnie wondered how much longer he had left to live, and if execution would be better than his current predicament.
You can use that paragraph if you want to, and revise it as you want, butter.https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=54872-Lucid-Skies-of-Depression-%28NOVEL%29&p=835219#post835219

We'll still be reading these applications from time to time if ever we need more people to join, so rest assured you have not been ignored!

Also, expect a mammoth spotlight (possibly the biggest ever) for Episode 60. It's gonna be a big'un ...

I had fun filling in for the backlog, so I wouldn't mind doing it on a regular basis. Here's some of my feedback:

I would love to be on the team. As an up and coming IT legend in the works, I would love to experience what you can do when put forward with a healthy amount of work to do. Also, I will possibly become more experienced with the use of Excel. The vbulletin, I'm not sure what you mean by 'threats', but I can say I'm cool with basic code, and I'm sure you all can help me improve! I can't say I'm that helpful on this forum...yet, I can truthully say that I do help LittleBigPlanetarium gadders on their way, and by doing this hefty task, I can become more used to the lively spirit this site has when compared to a calm and quiet place like the planetarium. I feel that I am quite witty with my words, whilst also being description filled. I'm very good at criticising levels in all shapes and forms, with positive and negative views, without becoming biased until my conclusion is raised. I'm good in a team to, and can talk to them at ease what I'm going to do, and how long I'm going to spend on the task in hand.

So, there we go, that was almost like a job letter! I hope you take me on, as I'm a dynamo filled to the brim with energy, and willing to do something new!

Hello!

I'm willing to join the Spotlight Crew!
If you'd like to just confirm with my reviews, you'll have to check via LittleBigPlanet2. (PSN: Azure_Mist)
I do enjoy reviewing levels, and that's why I'd like to take it a step further and join the team.

Thanks, Azure_Mist.

Would I be approved for this?
I'd love to be in the crew and I promise I'll give out all my advantages to prove myself
If I review at least 3 levels for experience showing would you consider the possibility of me joining this crew? I'll post the reviews tonight.
I know I seem bad at reviewing, but I promise to give in all my dedication and I'll work as hard as I can on reviewing. I just need one chance to make the best out of this possibility.

I'm interested in this actually! I've been here for several years, and reckon I know the world of LBP pretty well - as well as the world of LBPC! I'm reasonably active, and am always friendly and (I hope) helpful too!
So, how would I go about applying?

Hello Rialrees! I am XxSACBOY_HEROxX. I would love to take the job! I joined LBPCentral on May I believe, but I am very experienced with LBPCentral! I've had LBP since 2008, and I am very experienced! All I do is play lvls that people want me to play, and I don't care how much lvls people bomb me with and I will also play any move lvls on the spotlight! I am very experienced with working on teams! I've worked with several people, several times! <3 I don't post threads that much, but if I do get the job, then might as well just cross that out! If I do get the job I will not dissapoint you! I go here everyday! If you want me to do something just give me a message! I am basically never busy! If you want any more info from me ask... Me out!

Thank you all for showing an interest! I'll be getting round to you all inidividually to have a chat, but we really do need to see examples of your reviewing skill.

We are currently only hiring for the PS3 side of things.

Also please bear in mind that te Move pack has just seen its release, and a large amount of the levels posted to the showcase will inevitably be reliant on having a move controller. That's not to say that we are specifically hiring those who have move, but it is of benefit to you to have this peripheral.

Okay, I'll be sending messages out to all of you now!

I'll give it a go. I'm pretty good at making with the words to describe things. I can say stuff that describes other stuff, and somehow it all comes together.

My reviews tend to be honest. I'm one of those really odd individuals that believes that people post levels in the showcase in order to get honest feedback. I won't hold back an opinion, but I also won't berate anyone. If I can't balance criticism with a compliment, then I just won't comment.

On the other side, I believe everyone needs some encouragement. I sincerely hate to see levels belittled that people obviously put a lot of work into. I think, as reviewers, we should focus on the positive, but not be afraid to point out things that could be better.

I just wanted to make a note here for everyone. We will be taking note of all applications right up until I (or another spotlight member) post to tell you to stop applying. So keep them coming, the thicker & faster, the better!

Also, we are very keen on finding members who can write comments on the levels chosen for a spotlight. Playing the levels is actually not something which is causing us much trouble of late, but getting the reviews written and done in time can be very time consuming - and we need a minimum of two reviews on every level chosen. As you can see from the past few spotlights, we are choosing more and more levels all the time, as the quality of levels in the showcase has just increased so dramatically of late. So we are keen to find those who are happy to do a good bit of writing every now and again, and help keep us on track.

Being able to play fifty or so levels a week is a huge bonus (and when you break it down, it's really only ten levels a night) but the commenting is just as important!

That's the end of my rather rambly post lol - keep em coming!

My apologies for not mentioning it earlier nysudyrgh, but we are not looking for new PSP spotlighters at this current time. There's not many levels being posted to that section anymore, so Coxy, Val and Ricky are managing just fine atm. We will however update this thread should we require any more PSP Spotlighters!2011-09-15 17:12:00

Well, I've been wanting to get more involved in the LBPC community for awhile now and I think this may be a good opportunity. For my application I submit the following reviews that I have done.

1. Dude this level was awesome!
2. What!? This needs more plays
3. As I played your level, I was struck with a conundrum. Either gouge my eyes out or finish your level. Regretfully, I finished your level. Pee yew.

Just kidding. Those aren't my application reviews and I haven't left reviews like that, well except for "Dude this was awesome!"
Here are my Real application reviews:
The Mysterious Mines of Misfortune by Shookie99 post #4 (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=62798-The-Mysterious-Mines-of-Misfortune-2-(now-with-lbp2-updates)&p=921964&viewfull=1#post921964)

I hope these reviews are acceptable. I am trying to improve upon my reviewing skills. Oh, and if there is an interview process, please give me a heads up so I can go get me some more Dapper Dan pomade for my hair.

Argh... I want to join... But I don't review on LBPC... I always review on the actual game... Dx I'll start working on this though.

So that I don't waste space in a later post (since I will be back!)-
I am friendly, 'funny' (I guess?), and helpful. My spelling and grammar is above the average high school seniors. Umm... I AM willing to play levels. This will actually give me an incentive to get back into the habit of playing levels instead of locking myself in create for hours on end... Now what were those other requirements...?

-Opens new tab-

Be willing to play almost all of the levels posted in the level showcase. This is a large time commitment! (Check)
Be competent in writing and word usage. (Check)
Know a quality level when they see it. (Check)
Aha! I can tell a good level from a bad one. Usually before the full level is even out!

Be experienced in the world of LittleBigPlanet. (Check)
Been playing since December 2009 since it was the first game I got for my PS3...

Be able to work in a team-centered atmosphere. (Check)
I always have a build team going... And I'm friendly as I said above. So I think I fit that requirement...

TIME FOR THE 'Also Advantageous' SECTION!

Be comfortable working with an Excel-type spreadsheet. (Half-Check)
Yea... I'm a computer person... But I've never had a reason to do a spreadsheet... -Thinks for a second- Ooo... This could be a good time to learn!

Is not threatened by vBulletin code. (Maybe-Check. Not fully sure...)
Hmm... I'm learning! This is my first forums site so... Yea... I know how to do this (http://46.51.168.114/u/Speedynutty68) though! ('This' meaning the fact that I can link things... )

Fun, friendly, and humorous. (Check)
Did I cover this in the wrong section...? o.o

Be a generally helpful person around the forums. (Check)
If you don't know, I'm usually found in the '[LBP2] Help!' section of the forums... So yea... I'm a 'generally HELPFUL person around the forums.'

I'll be back a little later (hopefully tonight...) With my examples of reviews. My aim with every review is to be a 'critic' while not being 'critical.'

Yes! I am back! With my reviews. These were rushed a little so I could get them A.S.A.P. so they could be better. :/ I admit that, though... (Do I get bonus points now?)

So here they be:

Review numero one-

Excellent job. I have never seen vehicles used in a real level quite like that before. This is an original (at least to me) level concept as I have seen vehicle showcases, just never like this. In this level, LittleBig Bubble Quarry, you get to use the vehicles for their intended matter. The vehicles are high quality. And it was fun, too. There were a lot of jobs to do, the visuals were amazing, and the fact that you added multiplayer made it even better! I will admit that it took me a few minutes to figure out what I was supposed to be doing (Since I automatically tune out the helpful button names at the bottom). But that was totally my fault.

I am glad to have played your level and I will be checking back to your Earth often so I can see what you're up to!

--Teh Nut

Review numero two:

Very nice mini-game! It's fun, simple, and addicting. This is a great challenge for casual and 'hardcore' (Do we have any of those on LBP?) to play. I would recommend this to anybody sitting in their pod with nothing to do. Or... Anybody for that matter. The simpleness is my favorite part. It brings all of us down to the fact that you don't need massive amounts of logic, Mr. Bigguns level visuals, or sharks and bombs (Sarcasm) to make an amazingly fun level!

--Teh Nut

Review numero three:

Awesome level! Insanely addicting, too! This is an awesome mini-game for casual gamers, though me (A slightly hardcore player) loved it! The visuals were awesome, the gameplay was addicting, and the concept was a very underdone (yet cool) one. I have only seen this concept on computer games. (Most notably the week long even on DragonFable) Though this was very fun, I experienced a 'fixed' glitch: My cursor disappeared and never came back! D: It was on level 9. Just in case that matters. Other than that, I recommend this to anybody and everybody.

--Teh Nut

If you want more, better, or more-better reviews, just let me know... OR you can look through my in-game reviews... Some of them are mess-around-with-friends type reviews. But the rest are mostly serious, down-to-business reviews. With a little Nutty flare to them... >.>

@SpeedyNutty: Hi, not to be pointy lol, but I think you should edit your other posts instead of double-posting.
Also, I've tried getting into the Crew, but you're better at this than me.. So, it's totally up to them who they pick, I'm not being the chooser here. But I think that between you and me in my opinion, you should get into this.

Okay! I'm not good with the vBulletin code, but I can learn quickly. I've been one of the most advanced on a sight called ROBLOX and I was awarded a special hat by the admins. It was LUA and C++ Form Scripts...

Here are some levels!
http://lbp.me/v/5bbxyx
This one I have to put up, it's really awesome made by UberorbPS

http://lbp.me/v/55p207
"It Rains when it Rains" by JplusK, a great unknown level.

http://lbp.me/v/6enpnn
"Natures Industry" by P-I-M-P-I, I noticed off of one of my friends hearted lists and played it when it had little views.

Also, I do some computer designs, this can come in handy. http://www.littlebigplanetarium.com/gallery/album/790/47-my-computer-designs/

I hope you recommend adding me!

I can review 2 other levels if you need more examples, but last night I got caught up in something and lost track of time.
But I finished this review
http://i2.lbp.me/img/bl/702fe3837cff48295001a73ec7ba8b03a7139201.png Facility Unknown (http://lbp.me/v/6etss1) by [I]bikerider12 (http://lbp.me/u/bikerider12) / bikerider12 (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/member.php?6819-bikerider12)

Advice:
http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/568/facilityunknownpic1.jpg I'd suggest inserting a Check-Point. The reason is because in the next section with the Bounce-Pads, it can be a bit annoying to some players that die and refrain because the obstacle run-through in the previous section can be a bit annoying. We don't want broke controllers from a community level.

http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/4756/pic2facilityunknown.jpg Here is just a little detail, but little details always add more show of effort. Now to the point, I think that when the player gets over here, a Camera Angle should preview both buttons. Mainly because some players won't notice the button on the far right, they'll just see the left button and think "Isn't something supposed to happen?". But maybe I was just being lazy.

http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/6163/pic3facilityunknown.jpg I think that here, it would be very wise to insert some show of puzzle explination, like maybe a Movie Camera that shows little hints on the task. But other than this, it's a very well-made puzzle. The timing after you press the button is also synced good.

http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/7326/pic4facilityunknown.jpg After the Check-Point above the puzzle, the next Check-Point may seem a little too close together. But in my opinion I'd suggest placing either a Check-Point or a warning not to jump down here (Because the R1 Sticker seems sort of convincing.) : http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/2204/pic5facilityunknown.jpg . It may frustrate players that have previously just finished the puzzle.

Bugs:
http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/8597/pic6facilityunknown.jpg Here I noticed that if you die at the above obstacles awaiting, the middle material in front of the Check-Point booth stays there and the Check-Point doesn't stay active. If you die at the top like I did (The fire pit section). It starts you back at the start of the puzzle, so there's no possible way to get back up there since the jump is too far from the platform back up into the Check-point location.

Visuals:
The Materials of the platforms came togerher and matched into it's own unique themed level. The little decorations here and there also made a good impression for the visuals plus extra detail.
Your choice on making the Pipes blue along with inserting blue color into some Bounce-Pads, I think it was a good idea, because it matched all the materials so it looked really neat in my opinion. Not to mention that it added extra color for eye candy, but overall it's a great color to stick to the main concept.
However the dangers were blue, it seemed like you have your own unique level where all the colors and platforms form together.
Also a little detail worth mentioning is that the first Checkpoint at the start of the level dropped, i liked the detail. I'd highly recommend making the rest of the Checkpoints the same if possible.
Also, it was wise how you stuck to the main colors of Materials, dangers, Decorations and made the Materials indented into the platform, it made it look better in my opinion.

Logic:
I liked how the doors to the next section and obstacles were synced, it made it feel automatic in some way.
The logic must have been quite frustrating, but even so, it really paid off with this level. All the timing moving platform synces plus the switches.

Gameplay:
The 3 layer platform gameplay had a good feel to it and multiplied the fun gameplay. The gameplay between jumping, swinging, grabbing, plus the puzzles all added up to really fun gameplay.
Some parts were frustrating, but for the most of it, it was just generally a really fun level. Every level needs to have a bit of difficulty in my opinion.

Overall:
The point bubbles in various places are separated far enough apart to still be enough bubbles but not too many so you're not having constant bubbles dumped on you like a rainstorm.
The whole level had great unique visuals.
The level was fun with the mix of sync, grappling/grabbing plus the jumping swinging.
It made the new LittleBigPlanet 2 tools even better with the platform, they made everything fun and it all fit together. You used the tools in just the right places.
But one little thing I'd recommend is that at the beginning of the level, the intro thing, I think that a Movie Camera would be nice to have on there to show general places in the level, sort of like a short preview. Then maybe a level Logo?

It has a few little bugs, but I think it's a really great and fun level. I had lots of fun just playing through it. Very nice platformer. I think it'd be wise for you to make a second part to it.

I gave it the obvious deserved heart and a yay.

Alright! I've got the next examples ready.

http://i3.lbp.me/img/bl/7438fd032e651d284f4ae02d7d2e636df92db68f.png The Golden Passage (http://lbp.me/v/6b0t2k) by Tulior10 (http://lbp.me/u/TulioR10) / TUL10 (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/member.php?14134-TUL10)
"In the depth of a lake Sack has found The Golden Passage, where the gold is abundant and the souls are lost. Song by: rofl_waffle."

WARNING: May contain spoilers

Visuals:
The golden temple type concept was a nice difference compared to the usual style platformer these days.

I loved the uneven materials, it added a style of it's own to the level.

The obstacles were shaped unusually which doubled and promoted more uniqueness.

The stickers on the wall such as the cracks were a good choice for the neat details.

The waterfall made a good collaboration with the golden theme.

The plant decorations were good successful eye candy.

Gameplay:
I think you without a doubt mastered the whole 3 layer platformer technique.

I really liked the short minecart ride because it added a nice short break from the usual jumping. Nice little layer switch too
For an example, the falling fireball part, how it doesn't actually harm you, it just adds detail. Then the next part had a change in jumping to dodging and timing.

Also, I think it's worth pointing out; The invisible Gas? Good choice.

Logic:
It had some of the best Logic syncs I've seen in quite awhile.
I loved how everything fit together and went together. It's like all the Logic fit together.

Overall:
I really admire how it starts you right where you left off from the first part to the second part.

I didn't see any glitches or bugs actually, the only thing i seen close to a bug is how it can sometimes be a bit laggy, but that's totally understandable considering all the Logic and detail. Aside from that it's a fun platformer with obvious hours of effort and hard work.

It's fun, it's never hard in this level, just has a bit of difficulty. So I'd highly recommend platform lovers to check this level out.

I liked how you put more time and effort into it to make the rainbow colored point bubbles. Not to mention that the bubbles were in convenient places.

I liked the apples you can eat for more points.

I really enjoyed this level. It had a fun mix of short ride, ride controlling. Great detail and visuals. Really fun gameplay.

WARNING: May contain spoilers

Improvements/Suggestions:

http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/1080/poisonivybyperfectnothi.jpg I like the waterfall, especially the purple flowers floating. Even the vine changing color on the wall looks good, but the waterfall has lines and looks sort of squared. I think it needs to have more of a shape and maybe covering the line with some sort of creative decoration would be wise.

http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/1080/poisonivybyperfectnothi.jpg In my opinion I don't think the split materials are good for eye candy, I seen quite a few along the level.

I'd say it needs Infinite Checkpoints. It can get quite frustrating at times.

In the underwater carvens, I noticed that the moving platforms had a slot in the ground to go in, it needs a thin layer to cover the small pit for extra neatness.

I noticed that the Bounce-Pads need to blend in more since they're just sitting on top of the platform. Like for an example; Insert the Bounce-Pad into the platform to prevent more visibility than needed, but maybe some sort of artistic hint for convincing players it's a Bounce-Pad? Maybe a light, a certain decoration.

Bugs:
http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/1080/poisonivybyperfectnothi.jpg I don't know if this counts as a bug, but I noticed that the Bounce-Pad isn't glued.

Visuals:
I really liked the visual outcome of the purple flowers all around.
The colored lights via censor (Obviously). Especially the in the pipe walkthrough sections.
The boss fight looked really good, the flowers were nicely designed. The waterfall at the first was a good choice of color to go well with the concept of the level.
As well as the neon designed type vines, I just think some should be in the front center of the level too.
Also, the neon along the level looks great especially since you have grassy concept related material in the center. But the neon needs to be more centered around the edges of the platform.

Gameplay:
It was a fun but still a bit hard type platformer. It has a few flaws and bugs here and there; nothing major, but the level speaks for itself that it took effort.
I also like how you added secret point bubbles in some parts, most levels don't do the whole secret loot type thing much anymore.
I really liked the impressive ending. The boss fight was fun and not too frustrating.

Nice job overall.

"This is a story about a Sack person that has gone insane because of his violent past. He keeps having flashbacks about his life. Can you handle the insanity? SINGLE PLAYER (The story is expained in 'Before Insanity&apos"

WARNING: May contain spoilers

Visuals: The level beginning had a nice view, I loved the rocks and grass, also the water waves. The rocks had realistic looking shape.
I liked the rain drops in the long halls, as well as the blood drops to add more suspence and mystery, but it's still a bit disturbing in a way.

Bugs: http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/1130/insanity1playerbyyuboys.jpg If you push the button multible times the sackbot keeps appearing to press the button. (No biggie, just stating what I experienced).

http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/1130/insanity1playerbyyuboys.jpg In this area if you designed the water to kill the player before reaching the top it's sometimes possible to get to the top before dying. I did it once before I had to restart from a bug below.

http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/1130/insanity1playerbyyuboys.jpg If the buring sackbot reaches the Checkpoint when you die, as you keep refraining it'll keep killing you; If this occurs it's inevitable that the player will have to restart the level.

Improvements/Suggestions:
I think that the Butterflies Bite banner needs to be in a more readable font.

http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/1130/insanity1playerbyyuboys.jpg I shot this picture for an example; the stairs need to have a thinner and even shape. Using Grid and edging tools help with those type of things.
A small rail on the stairs would also be good for detail.

The long halls need to be filled with some sort of activity. Jumping, swinging. Because the constant walking can be quite dull at times.

The whole level, I seen the first was a 3-layer platformer, I think it'd be wise to make the rest a 3-layer.

I think the ending with the asylum needs to be more detailed, it looks like a a castle instead of an asylum.

Gameplay:
Love the mystery of it. I've always been a sucker for horror movies and mysteries, so this was a nice change up with the Platformer + murder mystery.
The appearing Sackbot was a good creepy select for the extra scariness.

Overall:
Most of the gameplay was fun, it had mystery. But it has a few bugs and flaws.
The red place, with fire, red. I'd think it's referring to H.E double hocky sticks. Plus the white place.
I think that some players/viewers wouldn't think nothing of it, but some are offended religiously, you should have stayed on the main path with the mystery instead of adding that.

I had to boo this because of the possible religious offended players, the bugs, and because it needed more gamplay, other than this, it had a good mystery but kinda went downhill. Sorry, it's just my own personal opinion, nothing against the creator.
If it isn't these places, then I greatly appologize for the possible false accusation.

As for part two, the game is rated E. So it may be traumatizing for younger kids.

"Venture in this si-fi facility with lots of platforms to run, jump and grab to please any platform-extremest! Also, dont forget the tubes! Made with my good friend Macasaida."

Advice:
http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/568/facilityunknownpic1.jpg I'd suggest inserting a Check-Point.

Well, well, what have we here? The LBPC Spotlight Crew is hiring? You bet your stuffing we are.

With the release of LBP Vita (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=72934-LBPVita-release-date-Europe-19th-Sep-Japan-20th-Sep-America-25th-Sep) right around the corner, we're going to need some extra sack-hands to help out playing all of those shiny new Vita levels that are bound to show up. There is one catch though:

You must own a PlayStation Vita and be willing to review LBP Vita levels.

You may also be asked to help out with levels from LBP1 and LBP2, but the primary focus for this position will be LBPV.

To quote the original post:

http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/6752/calltoarmse.png

Thanks for applying and be sure to let me know if you have any questions. If you're curious what life is like on the LBPC Spotlight Crew, shoot me a PM or visitor message and I'll be happy to fill you in.

I'll probably end up getting a Vita and LBPV, so I might as well apply. If something else comes up, feel free to disregard this smelly post.

Pooptopia:Adventure in the land down under by kaiju__kid
https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=73658-Pooptopia-Adventure-in-the-land-down-under

Darn, I was making a poo level. We had a similar palette (and similar decorations), but I started it a while back, so don't think that I ripped you off if I actually get to releasing it soon.

As for this level, it could be much better. I generally have the same complaints as Joruto but I'll go into more detail so I don't get a condescending reply. To start off the visuals were incredibly bland. You have huge chunks of material and hardly any stickers or decorations, which results in the level feeling empty. Coupled with the fact that you used the extra layer glitch it just feels incredibly empty and unnecessarily large. Maybe it's just personal preference, but it'd be better if you made it smaller scale and more detailed. Another nitpicky thing is that there are some decorations (mostly pipes) just appearing out of nowhere. It'd be better if there was some sort of logical organization behind it rather than it just being there. The obstacle where pee flies at you from the background was cool, but that's about it. No I'm not into watersports, but thanks for offering level!

The gameplay was actually sorta kinda maybe decent, but there are some issues with cameras and a lack of instruction. How was I supposed to know that the bouncing pee thing would kill me if it wasn't visibly lethalised? Also, the rolling poo obstacle's camera was zoomed too far out, and towards the top of the screen I couldn't see that you had to jump to change layers, which resulted in a cheap death. A checkpoint halfway through the obstacle would be very beneficial. The toilet paper obstacle wasn't bad, but because of the platform placement at the top I shifted too early, which resulted in me falling to the ground. I didn't get much farther than that, but for what I saw the gameplay could be much more polished. I did like the enemies though, pretty unique. The gameplay wasn't bad, but it could be much more polished and original. I also don't see why it's single player only, as this could be much more multiplayer friendly with better cameras.

The humor could have been much better. I'm not going to analyze why parts of it aren't funny because that would make me the most boring person alive, but the humor seemed to be really shallow. The extent of the humor was that the level was poo, the characters were butts and the enemies were toilet paper. It just feels as if you could have done so much more with your setting, but you didn't. The music is also really grating, but that's mostly because it doesn't fit with the theme. I appreciate you for trying something different, but just because it's better than the standard cool pages tripe doesn't mean that it's an excellent level. If it were better looking and more polished I'd probably yay it, but as it stands it's pretty mediocre.

Project Llama Shooter by DarkDedede
https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=71345-Project-Llama-Shooter-Update-Version-3!&p=1027053#post1027053

I played your level, and since it's just a concept at this point I won't really mention the lack of difficulty or visuals. For the intro, I think it would be better if the players automatically started in the character select, rather than having to walk to the controlinator. It would save some time, and it would also make the level feel more polished. Occasionally, when flipping through the characters in quick succession, there's a small delay before the next character spawns. Also, when I accidentally pressed X while switching between characters, I got stuck and had to restart the level.

Regarding the characters, while there was variety in terms of how they looked, they all felt the same, as in the projectiles affected the enemies the same way. I'd add variety in terms of how they control. For example, maybe one character could be very swift but very weak? Maybe one could have a very weak attack but a very strong and efficient charge attack? Things like that would increase the replay value if the level. As it stands, they feel too samey. Other than that, they control well and the hit detection is fine. My only problems are that the charge attack feels sluggish and that the power up doesn't seem to do much at this point. It increases your damage, but that seems unnecessary seeing how easy the enemies are.

The enemies also feel a bit too samey. I know there's one that's immune to bullets (the pink, translucent bat; I don't know if that's intentional) and one that takes more damage, but I'd change the paths some of the generic ones take. Maybe add a zig-zag motion or something like that if it's possible. Still, there was lots of visual variety which is good.

Overall, it's not bad for a concept. It just needs more variety when it comes to how the characters and enemies feel instead of just how they look. The level worked well, and the movement for the characters was smooth. I eagerly anticipate the future versions.

Those are the two recent feedback posts I left on this site. I'm not really active, but I'm willing to be moreso.

This is from planetarium. Feedback's feedback, right?

The Great Exploration of Sam Stinklefritz by codibear8383
http://www.littlebigplanetarium.com/topic/4798-the-great-exploration-of-sam-stinklefritz-by-codibear8383/

Well, it looked absolutely fantastic to say the least. The visuals were very nice, and the character design was cute... but that's all I really enjoyed about the level. The gameplay was pretty bland and boring and the humour didn't appeal to me, but most people will still like it. I'm just adverse to using old memes (well, most) and reusing the same gag too many times. I can't think of much wrong with it, but I can't say that it excels in any area but the visuals.

My only problem with the level is that the dialogue takes too long. Either make the wait time shorter or make it so the player can skip the dialogue (using circle). I could understand it being like this if the level was intended for kids, but still I think it would be better if people can read at their own pace and not have to wait for the level to catch up.

Overall it's a great looking and cute level with pretty mediocre gameplay. I didn't enjoy it, but I'm sure others will. If you were to make a sequel with better and more engaging gameplay, I'd heart it.

Well, you can have simple, easy and engaging gameplay. LBP1 did. There are tons of levels that are reminiscent of LBP1 and still remain fun. I guess there are too many sections where you run around doing nothing. So yeah, you just need more stuff to do (ie, well hidden secrets, challenges, branching paths). However, the easiest way to make something more engaging is to add risk and challenge.

I also have tons of nonsense reviews on LBP2 itself with some serious, actually (subjectively) thought out reviews. I'm not afraid to call a level out for being bad or overrated, but I am willing to relax my vitriol. I'm not above saying that a level is fantastic, but I'll never resort to empty praise. Ultimately, I think the community spotlight should be a bit more that a giant ego stroke. Spotlighters should also be able to help people improve their skills through criticism. As such, I'm including examples that are more than just me praising a level; while leaving praise may work for what you write for the spotlight itself, I think there's a bit more to the job than that. Here are some choice reviews from LBP2:

Gargle me Samson

I forgot to flush.

My friend Pillock says no because Gamgee is already falling on him.

Lick the gangrene of the fascism reeking LBPC.

Oh wait a minute.

I'm also willing to give actual, honest feedback whenever anyone asks. If I can foster talent then yay, my work is done. I am a bit harsher than most people on this game, but I always leave detailed (and supported) criticisms and feedback. I might nitpick, but my nitpicks don't necessarily get in the way of my overall thoughts regarding a level. I generally mix "humour" with criticisms / reviews, and I promise to continue this if selected.

Edit: All of the above examples kinda portray me as more negative than I actually am, so here's a few more examples that aren't me being totally insufferable.

https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=73806-Atomic-Fortress
https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=73802-Time-To-Ring-The-Bells

https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=72605-El-Guero-s-Duel-of-Dual-Dimensions

I'm also a lot more active in the showcase now, so yeah. Hopefully you'll check out some of my other posts from there. Writing is fun, as is leaving feedback.

MOD EDIT:

Also, my vote's for SLS10 because friendship. Also, we generally tear apart levels (critically that is) and he does a pretty darn good job at it (for someone who's not fully human). The spotlight needs people who can discern quality, and SLS is one of those people.

With some tape, a screw, a humongous book on architecture and some "ingenuity", I managed to fix the laptop problems I've been having. I'll be getting a Vita relatively soon, so hooray for me not being horribly incompetent with all things technology.

Hi. It's of no use to either of us for me to write a long-winded self-reflection about how I'm absolutely the best for the gig - it's a lot of reading that ultimately ends up going nowhere.

Though I'm not the most active forum-ite, I have left criticism on levels - although they sound much like complaints.

As you can see, I enjoy a humorous style of writing when it comes to bumping my friend's thread and dealing a heavy heart-breaking dose of reality to some guy. If hired onto the team, I shall provide this quality of work.

My previous exploits have been working on LBPC: The Game (that was a thing, right?) and one of the later participants of Sackcast.

So... I have a feeling that this entire thing is a popularity contest. If so, let's hope for the best that I have some shred of likability left within me. :B

I think I might apply!
I already have a vita and I'm definitely getting LBPV.

I'll just go through the list nao.

Be willing to play almost all of the levels posted in the level showcase. This is a large time commitment! I do have my A Levels coming up so I might get a bit behind. But I already play all the levels on the showcase anyways. Be competent in writing and word usage. This is where I fall short. I was never good at English but I'm doing English Lit so I should get better as I go along. Know a quality level when they see it. Yup! Be experienced in the world of LittleBigPlanet. Been Playing since LBP1 Be able to work in a team-centered atmosphere. Yup!

Also advantageous...

Be comfortable working with an Excel-type spreadsheet. The Microsoft Office thingy? I know the gist of it from ICT. Is not threatened by vBulletin code. I'm not familiar with the forums code. But I am doing a ICT A Level so.... who knows I might learn as I go on. Fun, friendly, and humorous. Yup, Yup aaand Yup! Be a generally helpful person around the forums. Yush!

Unfortunately I don't do that many reviews on levels unless I find a problem on the level or I didn't like it.

So here is a review but it's not much.

The Wacky Wreckshop - CodemanPSX

Just played it!

And I have to say that was one wacky level!

My only complaints are that the level was split into four parts and each of these parts are really short. Was is really necessary to split it into four parts?

And also things happened for no reason and left me confused. (Such as turning into a fly in the first part.)

But that's it!
Really great level and really great voice acting!

OK, so after going through all of these posts I feel at a slight disadvantage. I have not contributed in the same way as others, particularly when it comes to comments in the Showcase thread... There are good reasons, but those reasons have recently been resolved! so, what can I say here?

I feel as though I have contributed over time in different ways. My Stickied Tutorial thread was quite popular and I'd like to think it helped the community: https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=46908-LittleBigPlanet-2-Tutorials-and-Games

I have reviewed levels after I've played them but I just can't work out how to find them

Here are three Level Showcase reviews:

Savage Planet by Fullofwin.

Well, I finally managed to finish it and all I can say is WOW. A corny, overused word that's lost it's impact because of overuse but nevertheless the only word that suits what I just played. I just loved the innovation in this level. LOVED IT! You seemed to manage to make LBP feel less two dimensional. I don't know if that was deliberate or not but that's what I couldn't help thinking. If I was to suggest just one thing (and this is because I'm pretty bad at games) is to add an instruction here and there. Unless I missed something earlier on, I just couldn't figure out that I had to make the giant wasp hit the floor... But I did do it in the end so perhaps that suggestion is somewhat redundant.

Great visuals, great use of materials, excellent lighting and innovative gameplay. BRILLIANT

A Strange Garden by Dante3Rebellion

I thought this was a very good level and the visuals were good too, but I felt it could have been better if you'd chosen different music. The music just didn't give me the right 'vibe' for it... I might be wrong and others might disagree, so it could just be a personal thing on my part.

One thing I would advise though is to cut out the use of a camera to show players what to do next. They are useful sometimes but in this cases it's obvious what you have to do next. You really don't need that long, slow pan over to the destination in the first part of the level. It only served to frustrate me. If you don't feel you want to take it out, at least speed it up a bit. I also kept grabbing the switch on the way up which meant watching that slow pan again if I didn't manage to make it through. A one hit switch would solve that instantly. Oh, and in the next section you have spinning wheels. I've played your level twice now and on both occasions they seemed to shift. Have you glued the back properly?

I would also consider adding more ambient sound into this to compliment the nice visuals and a few spot sounds such as when the floor suddenly disappears. As it stands at the moment the music dominates the atmosphere and you'd be surprised how the choice of music can change everything. Well, I know you're probably thinking, 'That old Gribble is sure a moaning old so and so' and reading back through what I've written I couldn't entirely disagree, but this level is good and deserves just that extra care to make it even better.

Enchanting Illusion by Omier

Where to start... Are you an art student by any chance? It's actually difficult to put into words what I thought about this level without doing it a disservice. I could throw in the perfunctory 'should be MM picked' but that would be an insult. What you've done here is something quite remarkable. You've managed to twist a cute aesthetic into something beautifully disturbing. I was told once (and agree) that detail should be taken for granted and only ever noticed when it's missing. The concept on the face of it looks very simple... just blocks and more blocks, and yet there were little details constantly stopping me playing. You just wouldn't let my eyes rest for a second. I literally lit a cigarette and smoked the whole thing while staring at one small section of your level, that's how good it is. It was like walking through an art gallery and pausing for thought occasionally to look at a Salvador Dali painting, unaware of why but somehow compelled to.

You SIR are a genius!

Enchanted Illusion just doesn't do it justice though. I would really consider renaming it. I would just call it 'Illusion' myself

https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=73641-Enchanting-Illusion

I haven't reviewed many levels in the Showcase thread but I did add a section to my tutorial thread called the geniuses of LBP. Here's an example. I was going for a snappy description that I thought encapsulated the spirit of the creator. Not a review as such, but perhaps a flavour of what my reviews would be like:

TROPICAL_GUNER: Wood In Space (http://lbp.me/v/5nn80w)

Wood In Space is this creators first level and whilst it doesn't hit the giddy heights of the giants just yet, this level demonstrates a natural gift that can only improve over time. The use of colours and simplistic platforming create a lasting appeal and you can't help but feel a sense of happiness on completion. Other creators should take note of Tropical_Guner, because what he manages here is joy, and that is something even the most accomplished creators sometimes overlook

TAKA061: Wooden (http://lbp.me/v/6dmvcn)

There is something nostalgic about the way this creator works. This particular level puts you in mind of those Japanese wood puzzles we all played way back when nothing was digital and tactile was the order of the day. Cleverly, he has managed to capture the essence of eras lost and presents us here with a level of sublime simplicity whilst managing to enthral nevertheless. This is something some of his other levels also incorporate to great effect.

K3NDRAKRAY: Elysian Fields - Intermission (http://lbp.me/v/2n4nsd)

This remarkable creator blends high art with platforming and the results are astounding. One could imagine that if Andy Warhol had decided to make levels then they wouldn't be a million miles from what's on offer here. Stylish, beautiful and crafted to near perfection, every inch of his creations draws the eye. I will guarantee that when you sample this particular level you will want to delve deeper into his mind immediately after finishing. Quite frankly this is godly.

Whenever an opportunity presents itself, I try to bring information together to help people better find what they are looking for. An example of this would be my Vita Beta Media thread: https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=71260-LittleBigPlanet-Vita-Media-And-Beta-Levels

I do lots of little things that perhaps some people don't understand. I'll watch a thread for a while and if I think it needs a kick in the right direction or needs life support, I'll throw in a comment or ask a stupid amount of questions. Ask Taffey about that . I try to think of interesting subjects to stimulate conversation and thought. They may not always work, but I try. I also think that they're a fair example of my writing ability:

Sackboy/Sackgirl: The Foundation Or The Anchor? Which was a failure to engage, but still interesting (I like to think)

Sony have always avoided adopting a mascot simply because they prefer painting with broader strokes and wouldn't want to pin a product down to any particular franchise. Many, though, would argue that Sackboy/Sackgirl IS the unofficial PS3 mascot, myself included. But I want to look further than the console and at the franchise itself.

When we first got a glimpse of Sackboy/Sackgirl we fell in love with the character. There was something generic and childlike about him/her that perhaps reminded us of simpler times when material was the stuff of comfort for our podgy little infant hands. I still recall my first Teddy Bear and I'm 53... an indication of how lasting those tactile friendships can be. I did eventually dismantle that Teddy bear to find out how the winding mechanism worked and how the tune was produced. Something I later regretted. Nevertheless, without Sackboy/Sackgirl the LBP franchise would never have gathered such a vast and diverse following. But is it time to dismantle Sackboy/Sackgirl?

Each iteration of the franchise has offered opportunities for expanding beyond a Sackboy/Sackgirl world and many have taken up that challenge with no regret. And yet, there are still those amongst us that see it as sacrilege to forget the reason we picked the game up in the first place. LBP1 was essentially a platformer, but a lot of very clever people managed to bend the rules and take it beyond, even discarding Sackboy/Sackgirl in the process, but these attempts were only ever demonstrations of ingenuity and never really worked as intended.

Then LBP2 came along with it's logic and a plethora of other useful creating alternatives that helped broaden the possibilities. Still though, Sackboy/Sackgirl sat there, watching over the process and the community were always aware of their presence. Even though the tool set had been increased and the games got ever further from the roots, they still couldn't escape the clutches of the past and although some were extraordinary in concept and design, they didn't quite reach the quality one would expect from a dedicated games design. Furthermore, it appeared as if MM just wouldn't allow Sackboy/Sackgirl to be discarded, perhaps out of genuine love for the character or a worry that it could lose its appeal if Sackboy/Sackgirl weren't at the centre of it all. I feel it's more likely the latter.

Now we have LBPVita, a version that seems to have a fresh feel, a more grown up, Tim Burtonesque appeal. Still humerous but darker in shade. Little things indicate that perhaps Tarsier are not as attached to Sackboy/Sackgirl as MM and have risked breaking the link altogether. There is no better example than Tappling which no longer has that 'nice attempt' label that a lot of LBP2 levels do. It actually looks like a standalone game. Whilst the aesthetics are without doubt LBP, the use of them appears as if it could outgrow Sackboy/Sackgirl if the community wish it to. Even simple things like turning off shadows will hugely effect the atmosphere that we all relate to. Are Tarsier braver than MM? I hope so to be honest.

So, is it perhaps time to recognise that Sackboy/Sackgirl was holding back the design of LBP? They'll still be there in a huge percentage of levels (and rightly so), but perhaps it's time to embrace the full potential of the LBP franchise and make Sackboy/Sackgirl the heritage not the motivation. I don't like the Idea of setting Sackboy/Sackgirl in concrete and buiding a bypass around them, nor do I like the idea that Sackboy/Sackgirl will forever be that back seat driver, so I think it's time to dismantle the past and take the LBP franchise were it's always promised to go

https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=73477-Sackboy-Sackgirl-The-Foundation-Or-The-Anchor

and

The Atrophied Gene Which I just enjoyed writing.

When we are old enough to crawl and touch we begin to discover ourselves. Our whole existence is introspective. Free from any external information about our environment, we seek out with touch, taste, smell, sound and sight to make sense of the world around us. Once we begin this process our natural inclination is to discover, manipulate, examine and create. There is nothing in our small world that doesn’t move us; from an unexpected encounter with a fly to the delight of a pebble on the tongue. Our emotions are fashioned, they become a map of our personal experiences.

As our legs and will grow stronger, our world expands. It becomes an ever increasing circle of possibility, moving out towards the horizon as our eyes grow accustomed to the distance. Still though, that horizon is unquantified, leaving us mystified and ignorant of what lay there dormant. But that sense of mystery, of not knowing, takes us inwards towards the centre of ourselves. There, questions are formed that have no answers. Because we have no answers our minds formulate possibilities and it is here that we find creativity and imagination -- the true intellect. These are our most joyous years. Our maps are drawn in crayon and our thoughts are unfettered.

As our mothers straighten our collars, shine our shoes and kiss us farewell at the school gates, something changes. We step into an environment with imposed symmetry and coercion. The very building trammels us and the classroom shapes us, turning us from limitless children into well oiled machines. A mind that was once liberated by naivety now becomes incarcerated by facts. Year after year, our minds become depositaries for information, that wondrous freedom we so cherished squeezed deep inside until one day we can no longer find it. We learn to view it rationally now, as if only a ghost, a deception of childhood … but we are mistaken

You may ask yourself: ‘what has this got to do with LBP?’ That child is still there, hidden from view by the demands of society. We can almost see it, peeping from the corner of our past but our senses have been derailed. They are no longer subjective, they are servants of imposed objectivity. Creation and imagination cannot be obtained from anywhere but within ourselves. We own it. We are it. You see, the mistake we make is to attempt to feel it, see it, taste it, smell it and hear it, but the process that lead us to it has now become the process that conceals it. Effort will only bury it deeper. To search is to acknowledge loss, so don’t search, just become.

LBP offers up another unquantified horizon and our senses can begin afresh. It keeps the young in touch with what makes them individual and helps the adult rediscover an old friend.

https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=72027-The-Atrophied-Gene

and lastly

Make Those Lists People! Which was a success and some people are now promoting their own personal lists in the sigs.

I'm constantly scouting LBP.me for new levels when I'm not on LBP2, but today I decided I would try a new approach. Usually I select the type of level I want and filter out what I don't, which does throw up some gems occasionally but not as many as I would like. So, I'm now hooked on lists!!!

We all know the respected creators out there, those people that just astound us constantly with their imaginative game mechanics and their fresh take on what can and can't be done with LBP2. My first port of call was WeirdyBeardy. Out of interest, I just wanted to see what he liked playing and luckily he does bother with the lists... and what a great collection he has. many of them i've never played before.

But many many big creators are NOT making lists and I find this a real shame. what we have here is infinitely better than MMpicks or any other hub levels that people put together. no disrespect to them (their work is of great worth) but these lists are incredible providing the source is credible.

So, I call for all of you to consider the potential here and start compiling lists of all the great levels you have played. I intend to do this from now on myself because like a lot of other people I've largely overlooked this amazing new feature that could revolutionise finding levels.

https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=71554-Make-Those-Lists-People!

On a personal note: I'm fair, even tempered, patient but above all, OLD.

As GribbleGrunger said, I am not as active as I would like in forums (which doesn't mean I don't check out new stuff here, just referring more to actual posting), anyway, I would be willing to change that if I got into the Spotlight Crew!

I've got quite some experience in LBP, and I've got every single LBP-related game that has been released or is going to be.
I like giving feedback for other people in general, sometimes I just go in random searches in LBP2 to give feedback with reviews , or post more complete stuff in forums, especially here in LBPC; actually I'm thinking in making a request-review-thread soon. I like my reviews to be complete, sometimes including pics; according to the creator's experience I usually give "grades" at the end of my reviews.

Here are some examples of some feedback left in this forum:

Ok, here's my feedback Sabre!
Ok, in the beginning of the level I thought at first the decorations didn't really fit. Man, was I wrong! All the decorations, stickers and music fit perfectly to make a breathtaking adventure!
Ok, in the first room, I didn't really know what to do because I hadn't seen the 2nd button in the top. Did I mentioned I'm kinda blind sometimes? It would be good to add an arrow though.
The wheels challenge was great, then I came to this luminous floor with Flo (nice costume) advertising stuff. Lol, I hadn't understand what that thing was (the one with the prices) until Flo expalined it! Lololol. The only thing I don't really like of this part is that awkward luminous floor. It seems just to weird. Just my opinion, though.
And then the decoration returned to what I like. This part was OK, and the spinning decos were just perfect! Nice idea for that one.
Then there was more stuff, and I arrived to the puzzle mini room. I liked it, but I think you could have been slightly more creative when using the grabbable bounce pad. Still it was great!
Then more stuff, some adverts really well thought, with some previous investigation (nice move), and a fast-platforming sequence I liked a lot involving bounce pads. And almost instantly it finished. So, here's my grading:

Visuals: 3.5/5 Really good, but some parts looked awkward or too simple, and sometimes it went out of theme.
Gameplay: 4/5 Some really creative ideas, the spinning wheels challenge repeated more than what I would have liked.
Sound: 5/5 Whoa! Who composed the music? Whoever was, it just fitted perfectly!
Duration: 4/5 I felt it a bit short, anyway, there were not a lot of advertisments, which is thanked, anyway, I think it had an average length.
Average: 4/5 A really strong entry worth of a PSVita! Hearted and yayed obviously, actually I was kinda impressed by the number of plays it had, until I saw you were a Ghost Creator that is. Great work!

Ok, here's my review:
The beginning was OK, it seemed to me the decos were really fitting, but the 3D floor looked a bit too simple and awkward. Then you have a cutscene, go through some stairs and oh my! No!!! There's an easily solved mistake that you should fix as soon as possible. When in the switch room, you can look at your left and you can see the level background! Here, a pic:

http://i1.lbp.me/img/ft/d310c59952dd2bc78a3c29df394068dcd503ddc4.jpg

Adding a mini cutscene or sound effect for the switch would be excellent. Then there was this weird looking stairy thing floating there after the cutscene. At first I really didn't know what to do, but I managed to get to the next floor after a while. Then there was this spiky challenge in the stairway. Man, you need some patience if you want to go through this! Well, not really once you understand the pattern. The score bubbles were a nice touch as a hint.
More stuff, and then there is this electricty part in the stairs. Though a bit tricky, it was one of the most professional challenges in the level so far.
I was loving the lightning effects, well done with that
Ok, one of my main problems here were the curscene triggers. In the cutscene before the bridge thing, I had already fallen of the bridge when it started. And when I was in the lab (awesome monster costume ) it started after I had gotten past the Doctor. Oh, and there was a random gadget visible here:
http://ib.lbp.me/img/ft/f4b6b4b293cca2b482c9454a8e4772f1ccb9f3e5.jpg
I would suggest making clearer what the boss battle is about, where you have to shoot the machines to turn them off.
Time for... THE GRADES!!!:
Gameplay: 3/5 Nice ideas, but some were confusing or bad executed.
Graphics: 4/5 Even though some parts were quite too simple, it was the overall best aspect of the level.
Sound: 3/5 Some switches didn't have sound effects, so I couldn't really know if they worked. Nice music choice.
Overall: 3/5: Don't misunderstand me, I thought it was a pretty neat level with nice ideas and a good story, yet there are lots of thing that could be improved. I know we all begin with simple levels, and this surely deserves much more plays than the 12 plays it had when I played it. Hopefully you'll get better noticed in the future

EDIT: Time for the feedback that is!
As the whole thing begins, I already know this has got quality! Yay, I love when I see such quality from unknown faces. My first complain is the lag. I know you mentioned about it before, but if you can manage to reduce it I would thank that.
The room with the spinning wheel was really frustrating. Really frustrating. Improving some aspects of the design like the changing the glass floor and making the hazard circumference that surrounds the spinning wheel kinda bigger would help. Specially making a wall that pushes you forward after touching the first bounce pad, as it seems that getting momentum with it is a much easier way of completing the task.
Now... A pic! This wheel has toooooo much speed. Please make it a bit slower :

http://i9.lbp.me/img/ft/0293decb01087c59a7fca1a31e87bc8a2e479450.jpg

I really loved the part with the moving wheels that reseted their positions if you die. Really creative and original! And I disliked the part with the grappling hooks and the floating bubble-things. Not much fun, but a lot of frustration. Ok, I think its time for... THE GRADES!!!

Gameplay 3.5/5 There were some awesome ideas, things that have not been seen much, but it really needs polishing at points. Still good work!
Sound 3/5 Ok, I'll be honest. I hated the music. It was annoying, not fitting to the theme and really repetitive. Aside from that it was OK.
Graphics 3.5/5 I liked them, I did not love them. There were parts that looked really good, but in general I felt that it could have used more decos and stickers. Also, the theme was awkward. It was like high-tech, yet it had some colorful sponges from time to time, which looked... Odd.
Overall 3.5/5 Good level, it has a large duration which I generally like. Adding some more detail to everything a bit would make this a more enjoyable experience. Great work!

As you can see, I like giving feedback to more inexperienced creators, telling them what can they improve and reporting bugs and glitches. If I review levels from more experienced creators, I'm usually tougher with my grading, and also give them detailed feedback about different stuff they may improve, etc.

I just got yesterday my PSVita, and obviously I'm getting LBPV as well. About the extra-questions:

Be comfortable working with an Excel-type spreadsheet.
I wouldn't call myself an expert in Excel, anyway, I know how to use it well enough (thanks to my Physics teacher ), and I feel pretty comfortable while using it. May I ask, why is it useful? I'm just wondering...

Is not threatened by vBulletin code.
I'm not! I've even got some little experience in web pages designing using HTML code.

Fun, friendly, and humorous.
You can count on that!

Be a generally helpful person around the forums.
I know there are people that generally post much more than me, but I've submitted some tutorials; and generally speaking I love to help people if I know how to help them, whether it is in Create mode stuff, feedback, logic help, or outside LBP as well.

I'm specially excited about LBPV, and I've created some high-traffic threads in the Vita section like this ones:

https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=73117-quot-Will-LBPV-replace-LBP2-quot-And-other-interesting-matters
https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=73003-Would-you-recreate-your-LBP2-levels-to-the-Vita

Oh, and as you may have realized, I love making huge threads ; so you can expect my reviews to be complete enough.

I'm experienced with LBP (At least I think I am, since I've had it from day 1.) I've also always wanted to be part of the spotlight crew, and I would try my best to work with the spotlight crew if they hire me. Anyway, better show my reviews, 'eh?

Savage Planet - Fullofwin

Wow, another great level from you! O'm surprised how you fit all that detail into just one level. It had unique gameplay, a classic story and amazing visuals that will blow your mind from the very moment you start playing it. You never fail to impress me with any of your levels, and I don't think you ever will. Good job.

Bomb Survival Reloaded! - Holguin86

Dude... How does one take the common idea of a bomb survival, and change it up so that it's a unique and addicting minigame? Well it seems like you have done it. This kept me playing for hours trying to get the top score on the leaderboards, and I had a ton of good laughs when I would explode. I loved every minute of it!
EDIT: Oh yeah, I also have a PS Vita and LBP Vita Pre-ordered

EDIT AGAIN: I though that I should probably mention that I'm not threatened by BB code, and I don't know much about Excel-Type Spreadsheet's, but I'll learn by the time that I find out if I'm hired or not.

Okay here goes my application, I am a very experienced lbp player I've been playing LBP from way back in '08. I love playing community levels and giving my feedback, so much so that I am already part of the "Creme of the Crop crew". Which plays all the levels posted on littlebigplanetarium, so I'm no stranger to what the commitment of playing all the levels is.

I have also dedicated my time in other community projects such as helping hyperdude95 organise "The community mash up" which grouped together a load of rooms created by community members. You might be thinking "You are already part of the creme of the crop, won't this be too much work for you?". Well, surprisingly the Creme of the Crop does not take up much time. As I am a very organised person, I play the levels daily and record a rating of each level so I can later refer back to the best levels and choose the levels which should be featured.

Another reason that I could be a good applicant, is that I travel on the train a lot (two x one hour journeys) in order to get to college and home everyday. So instead of looking vacantly out of the window for the whole journey, I could be productive and play downloaded LBPV levels!

My reviews:

Bomb Survival Reloaded! by Holguin86

"This level will have you on the edge of your seat while you try throw one bomb to hit an on coming missile while your trying to jump over another incoming missile while you desperately try and rescue the third platform. I highly reccomend this level"

http://lbp.me/v/fbrb04

BLACK44 by TheNotorious-187

"Poetic brilliance, it was just beautiful from the marvellous artwork to the wonderful cinematics to the beautiful music the story was so emotional it would bring a tear the toughest of men."

http://lbp.me/v/de0wzr

Grabby Gorge (Platformer) by Alley_Cat_8633

"Beautiful and fun level! The 3D gave the level so much depth it was amazing, the gameplay ideas kept me saying to myself "I wish I thought of that" great job. Easy heart from me "

Hmm, vacancies? There's spare vacancies! Hallelujah! Ok, here goes my entry:

At the moment I'm creating a series with my friend, David, but I still have a ton of spare time I spend lolling my head in Pod, so time-wise I'm pretty much sorted as, although I have school, I get home around 3 and have usually 2-3 hours a night to play levels. I do play quite a few levels, and, if I say so myself, am very experienced at playing levels. I enjoy reviewing levels and leaving my opinion, sadly I've been drifting from LBP2 lately so Reviews are in short supply! Oh no! But, this is actually why I'm applying for this, it's exactly the thing I need to relight the bright spark LBP2 once had!

Anyway, onto reviews. Sadly I don't use fansites enough (again, another reason... More fan site activity), so no reviews left from them, but I do like my in game reviews:

http://lbp.me/v/drm-r2
Review: "I'm quite drawn on what to think of this, because, as far as gameplay goes it was excellent,
some lovely ideas and it had a good pace. In the other hand, I felt detail let it down. For a forest,
It was very blocky, and there was no colour or vibrancy."

http://lbp.me/v/c6zh8g
Review: "15 minutes later, aswell as multiple profanities later and I am left in awe at this amazing
level! Some amazing concepts and mechanics built into this, and having it only bouncepads was the
best thing someone could of done! Why is this not a winner?"

http://lbp.me/v/c0fwgc
Review: "A good level with nice, quirky visuals; very pleasing to the eye. However, I felt the game-
play was rushed and had no flow to it, you need to order it a bit more, it felt to randomised."

http://lbp.me/v/eqx8t5
Review: "Codibear8383 brings us an astounding level. Using bright, mood-lifting colours, gentle
relaxing gameplay, she creates an atmosphere that is nion unmatchable. An atmosphere is key
to a levels success, and my dear, you nailed it! Great gameplay, a nice increase in difficulty,
but not to hard - no rage inducement. Overall, I adored it, one of those levels where if you're
In a bad mood, you're uplifted... GREAT WORK!"

http://lbp.me/v/4x5ngg
Review: "Certainly a very odd level. A lovely concept inter-twined with an odd story. I had a
very fun time playing for the first 1 minutes or so, after that it got very boring. I'd suggest
introducing some more challenge, for example some more enemies. I liked the scenery but
thought it could of done with a bit more pezaz, than just some rotating shapes. My last thing,
I saw no visual or gameplay music synchronisation. This is a lovely level, but not for LBPC3
All in all a good level!"

Right so yeah, here's 5 of my finest reviews, as you can tell I do give criticism, but I'm not some demon who nit-picks at every little fault. Before anyone asks, yes I wasn't able to do any fancy quote stuff for my reviews as I'm using an iPad to do this, so I was only limited to copy and paste and text. But not to fear! I will be getting a desktop soon - expect epic looking posts!

Anyway, hope you guys pick me, I've given my best shot and I can't give anymore!

P.S: Yes, I do have a vita and LBPVita in preorder, so I am very much prepared for it!

Thanks for reading!

Oof! I haven't been around for a while, but by god do I want to help with this...

Be willing to play almost all of the levels posted in the level showcase. This is a large time commitment! Sure thing!
Be competent in writing and word usage. I believe I fit the bill!
Know a quality level when they see it. God, there are some original LBP levels from the original, that I just wish I could play again... I always seemed to find some hidden gems.
Be experienced in the world of LittleBigPlanet. I have all three currently released games. Have been around the community for years.
Be able to work in a team-centered atmosphere. Easily, I've been working on a game with some friends of mine for a while now...

Also advantageous...

Be comfortable working with an Excel-type spreadsheet. Check.
Is not threatened by vBulletin code. Double check.
Fun, friendly, and humorous. I feel I am, but I'm sure Taffey would be better a judge of that then my own opinions!
Be a generally helpful person around the forums. I have been in the past. Part of the reason I want to join on the Vita side of things, is the fact I'm just genuinely attached to this site. I've donated before too.

Alright, that last part is a little bit of a weakness... I can't actually find any posts in the showcase, of mine - though I do remember putting a couple of critiques, when I had just started.

I... I really have improved my writing since I first joined, and I really want to give this a shot. I feel a need to contribute to the site's activities, and I feel I can manage a spot in the spotlight team. If the examples being.. a little blank... is an issue, could I atleast go on a trial run? I'm fairly certain Taffey has seen some of my feedback in the PSP forums before, and feel that when I get down to it, I can write a good review.

Thank you, and I hope to hear back with good news.

I would like to apply for this possion on the vita spotlight team. as I own a vita and have preordered my copy. I am just waiting for it now. The reasons I would like to be apart of this team is I want to help the comunity, be a better creator and have fun with great levels posted everyday in this site. I am already going to do this on Planetarium for COTC but that doesnt matter since I am already a big part there and I want to be a big part here.

qulifications for this spot.

I have been on COTC for about 3-4 months
I play all levels on the following sites. LittlebigPlanetarium.com, Littlebigland, Littlebignetwork, Littlebigcentrial, and Sackomedia.
I am an active player on Little Big Planet

Now I know I dont really post here due to the fact I play so meny levels or I dont have time. But I have always given my list to the team leader on COTC so I know what would be acepted in this. I can make a deadline really well so every 2 weeks is fine fore me.

If you need me to review my favorite levels for this I would happy to include them.

Well I hope I get picked.

Hello kind Community Spotlight folk...

Hehe, first of all major respect for all the things you guys do around the site. I would simply love helping you and my fellow site members out, and I believe I'd be really good at it as well (Given the chance, of course...)

I'll also tell you upfront that I don't believe in long boring reviews, unless completely necessary. I have to go by the motto "short, sweet, and to the point." Also, I hate to say it but I'm not very frequent in the level showcase :/... However, that changes when and if I get the gig.

Anyways here's some of my "reviews"

https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=73053-Waterfall-Ruins

Okay, time for my review.

Firstly, the level itself is a bit repetitive at times. However, I like this type of creating, so never fear. I also love the 3D effects, very well done it really adds to the level. It was also pretty cool how you made the point bubbles look like apples. All in all a pretty short level, but it gets the point across and looks great. Keep up the awesome work.

https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=73980-quot-BAMBOOzled-quot

Alright let's begin.

All in all a great little level. I especially like the funny characters you have added in, it really added to the atmosphere of the China themed level. The level was a bit plain in some areas, but I believe that the fun gameplay made up for that. So in the big run of things this was a great level. Keep up the great work.

https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=73608-Curse-of-the-Dragon-a-music-teaser-level

Hello.

I really liked how you made this level kinda like a scavenger hunt. Getting to the top of the level... Don't even get me started lol, I'm not a big fan of harder levels, but you really dragged me in. Oh did I mention, loved the music tons. Keep up the great work, and keep making truly awesome music pieces.

Also I have a Vita, have pre-ordered LBPV, and I'm willing to put in the play time.

As for the other questions...

Be willing to play almost all of the levels posted in the level showcase. This is a large time commitment!
-Done, and I know but I can't think of anything else I'd rather be doing.

Be competent in writing and word usage.
-I got plenty of book smarts. No, seriously, I do.

Know a quality level when they see it.
-I knew steve_big_guns before he was famous.

Be experienced in the world of LittleBigPlanet.
-Does starting off in the LBP1 Beta count, yes LBP1.

Be able to work in a team-centered atmosphere.
-Are you kidding? I absolutely love people.

Be comfortable working with an Excel-type spreadsheet.
-I know how to work my way around a LBPC message. Hehe

Is not threatened by vBulletin code.
-I know all types of vB code now. lol

Fun, friendly, and humorous.
-Like fun and friendly, my name starts with an f.

Be a generally helpful person around the forums.
-I run a contest, and say hello to every new face. What more could you ask for?

Awesome, yes indeed. Well that's all for now guys, I may update this later... Probably not, lol at least I'm honest.
Hope you guys consider humble little me. <3

LittleBigPlanet Karting is right around the corner (www.lbpcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?73054-LBP-Karting-date-announcement-and-a-new-trailer!), and the tireless Community Spotlight crew is already making preparations.

What does that mean? It means we're hiring of course! If you love Karting, playing tracks and arenas, and working on a team, then the Spotlight Crew might be exactly what you've been waiting for. In order to qualify:

You must own a PlayStation 3 and a copy of LBP Karting on or near launch day.

You may also be asked to help out with levels from LBP1, LBP2, and LBPV, but the primary focus for this position will be LBPK.

To quote the original post:

http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/6752/calltoarmse.png

Wolfdre here.

Yes i have LBPK on pre-order.
For the record I also pre-ordered LBP2, Picked up LBP PSP on day 1 & have participated in many of the LBP betas.
I've spent most of my years in LBP "Bug Blasting" and i have the swag to prove it
Ive invested very little time into reviewing levels on any community websites, but have spent days worth of time making detailed reports to submit to developers and even more time assisting frantic Craftworld denizens.

If its work on the Vita side that your interested in than i can honestly say its where i spend most of my LBP time lately.
There are countless reports on GetSatisfaction to backup my claims.

I grew up playing 8-bit consoles and my gaming style and interpretation evolved accordingly as the technology progressed. There isnt a doubt in my mind that i am unable to discern quality from an unbiased perspective. After-all it takes many classic & modern game play elements to deliver a complete experience.

Here are links to 3 (three) examples of some of my latest work on GS. Should be enough to prove my validity.

Sorry, I just now remembered to look at my queue, and let me tell you, boy was I missing out those two days I didn't play this! While the design itself could've used a bit more work you did a great job capturing the atmosphere of a creepy and spooky level. Major props to you for this level, you did a great job for a first LBPV level.

Also I have a Playstation 3, have pre-ordered LBPKarting, and plan to jump right into it.

I would very much like to join the spotlight team, as I am actually wanting to become a critic of some sort, but I haven't had chances to play on PS3 for a while and my activity in the forums for the past months has not really been sky-high, so I doubt I'll make an application now, at least.

No, I didn't comment only to state a fact. I wanted to ask something too. Since I can't join you now, I'd like to ask, when will one be able to join the spotlight team again? I'm getting my PS3-situation fixed today though, and I can make a couple of reviews as soon as tomorrow at best. When will the recruiting for this 'job' end?

Hi Freeaim

The spotlight crew's staff changes all the time - so it's very possible that we'll be hiring again in the near future.

The current recruitment will go on, I'd imagine, for at least a week to allow plenty of people to see the post and give everyone a chance to enter - but I believe the Vita recruitment went on for a while longer than that. We'll probably give notice when the recruitment is about to end, so don't panic - there's no rush

Hello Spotlight crew, working out some logistics and wish to possibly partake in such an awesome endeavor.

I preordered before the United Fronts Costume DLC announcement and look forward to many great Karting Levels.

Currently estimating time commitment and schedules.

Be competent in writing and word usage.
I find this to be the most daunting of tasks, but when something shines it will be noticed.

Know a quality level when they see it.
I can usually see greatness, even in genres that are not particularly my cup of tea.

Be experienced in the world of LittleBigPlanet.
I have played the game atleast a few times

Be able to work in a team-centered atmosphere.
There's no "I" in team and I most gratefully respect the opinions of others, if I am questionable upon a level I am comfortable replaying the level thru a seperate viewpoint. Which I currently am, Enochroots (stars fall movie)

Also advantageous...

Be comfortable working with an Excel-type spreadsheet.
Not a problem, I have been working with excel for countless years now.

Is not threatened by vBulletin code.
A little bit, how deep is the learning curve?

Fun, friendly, and humorous.
I'll try to be on my bestest behavior

Be a generally helpful person around the forums.
Bout 1k posts thru the multiverse of forums

Blobby review (1st to review the level on the planetarium)

These pics really don't even begin to crack the ice of this level. SO many little minor details were implemented in this such as the grass moving as you bounce or the dandeloins floating whiskly thru the air.

This was by far one of the greatest levels I have played on LBP.

So to all who play it, there may be some tough parts in the beginning, but trust me when I say if you succeed to make it past them you will not regret it. Also, something about muscle memory and how we typically play LBP. In a normal sackboy platformer we are accustomed to holding R1 while swinging (hence muscle memory). In Blobby you simply jump near a grabbable object say a flower, branch, etc and it auto grabs it for you. then you tap x to release yourself. Once my brain figured out that after I jumped I could let go of x and not letting go of x would release me, it became a much easier rode and the fun-o-meter skyrocketed.

This is one of those levels I will consider towards the Sackies

Also, amazing job Comishguy

http://www.littlebigplanetarium.com/topic/5798-blobby/page__p__62022__fromsearch__1#entry62022

Spooky Mansion by PyroTrooper (planetarium)

I played it earlier today and found it rather unenjoyable under the circumstances : my girl nagging in my ear saying why don't you make nice levels like this 1

Great level from 2 of us apparently

Thanks for sharing it with the community

Mockingbird by THI (Littlebignetwork)

I really liked your movie it was well thought out and captured the moment of a crime scene.
If I had to break it down by categories:

Script: 9/10 was great,

Camera Work: 10/10 I am amazed by your camera work

Acting: 8.5/10 (this is construed because there wasn't much movement by the characters, but when there was it was spot-on, and yes I do recognize that in most of the scenes movement wasn't necessary and could possibly be detremental. but some times they felt stale.)

Story 8/10: it was incomplete and hence the "to be continued", but for what it was it was fantastic and got me eager for #2. Story was an illusion of sorts. Theres a story, but its never told, its told about, but the story hasn't happened yet. Sorry but it is hard to explain. The story in this level was an intro to another story. So as a viewer I am disullioned in a story that hasn't happened yet. Err this is tough, sorry. In other words this chapter is a promise that there is a story, but we have to wait til you make it (publish the rest) So overall this level is a story about a story, but that story is masked with mystery. How you presented it though was great and was just enough sugar to leave me wanting more.

Sets: 9.25/10 The house with the grandfather clock was great, the city with the train superb (One of the best scenes in LBP), -0.75 just cause the scene with most the dialogue was empty in the background. all I ever saw was 1 building and a bridge and grass for millenia.

Overall top 3 easy, but even more important you better finish this.........for all the hopeful mockingbird fanatics you have created, including myself

http://www.littlebignetwork.com/index.php?/topic/23135-lbnff-mockingbird-chapter-1-drowned-away/

Buddy Destruction Music Gallery (kept this one short and sweet)

I literally grabbed every sequence I could and stashed away on my moon for future use, these are stellar tracks

http://www.littlebignetwork.com/index.php?/topic/23034-buddys-gallery-of-destructive-tunes/

Conan the Barbarian The Hog Flu (Another short and sweet one)

You did a great job hog flu and I was invested in this level since I first read the word CONAN !!!

I'm just here to put forth my first Spotlight application, considering my lifestyle has changed considerably in that I have a ton of free time and would love to dedicate a large portion of that time helping out LBPCentral and playing more LittleBigPlanet, more specifically the sure-to-be-amazing LittleBigPlanet Karting!

Firstly, almost all of my level reviews were apart of two fairly popular review threads I had quite a while back located HERE (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=25680-Night-Angel-s-PS3-and-PSP-Reviews!) and HERE (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=35649-Night-Angel-s-Temple-of-Reviews-*(Updated-Sep-18-2010)*). My main goal for the reviews was to provide the most detailed and helpful feedback for the creator in order to improve upon their level, no matter how precise or minuscule the improvement would be. For convenience sake, I've listed what I consider my personal favorite reviews here:

LBL: 4 in 1 - Gundam Shark Survival Hunter by gevurah22
Date Reviewed: September 12, 2010
Genre: Survival Challenge

Gameplay: 9/10
The many different types of attacks you've implemented into one object is astounding. The combo enders and use of shield and sword makes players think about how to take out the most amount of sharks. Although I've come to a couple of instances in which I die when I get too close to the water, it just made me realize to continue moving up high. The gundam really has tons of gameplay elements going for it.

Design: 9/10
The gundam is excellently created, as well as the small number of islands within it. I like how the sharks are built to crumble when they've perished by the almight sword of the gundam. I personally would have preferred a more tropical blue setting for the level for an easier time on the eyes, but that's really just a nitpick. The character design and intense, un-laggy environment were wonderfully executed.

Audio: 5/5
The sounds of the pulses, beams, and swipes of the gundam were wonderful, and the cries of those annoying Shark Survival sharks were devilishly satisfying. Your background music was also a good choice, due to the theme and all.

Replay Value: 10/10
I wouldn't be surprised if some people replay this level at least two or three times, mainly because of the inclusion of the both ranking systems (gundam ranking and ending rank) and the prize bubbles. I cannot receive the prize bubbles due to DLC purposes, but I hope many others can. The ranking system is ingenious, and really help ignite the replay count. There's always a good handful of people who want to claim those scoreboards with an SS rank.

Originality: 10/10
Gundams and the destruction of survival sharks in a Survival Challenge (pretty ironic, huh?). These killer creations of yours are very original, and they one of them works perfectly in this level. I still don't know how you do these things, but I hope you keep doing them!

OVERALL SCORE:9.4/10 (Not an Average)

Draconia Cave by ShamgarBlade
Date Reviewed: September 6, 2010
Genre: Platformer

Story: 7/10
The storyline was unique and I liked how it was a gradual progression from point to point. The actual plant enemies weren't introduced until later and the boss, which did feel a little abrupt in my opinion, was a nice finale for the ending. There weren't wasn't much text, but I feel the level itself told the story a little better.

Gameplay: 8/10
Beginning with puzzle platforming, moving to enemy-destroying, and then a fun boss was very nice. The puzzles and enemies were simple and well-made and the boss was very intense. The level did feel like a little quick and easy adventure, but the mechanics of it worked well and were pretty solid.

Design: 8/10
The little rays of light and the grass and rust stickers were used very effectively. The rock corner-editing was nice, but I didn't enjoy some of the flat un-edited rocky areas dispersed throughout the level. The boss and enemies were a good quality and made them look very dynamic.

Audio: 9/10
The sound objects and music were excellently chosen for the time at hand. I noticed all of the little audio additions you made and they added a nice layer of authenticity to everything. The sounds were fantastic and fitting!

Originality: 8/10
Journeying to a dungeon filled with sack-eating plants and a humongous viney beast of a boss is not something you would see or play everyday. Add to the fact that the puzzles were neat and this is a very original level! Thanks for the play!

OVERALL SCORE: 8.1/10 (Not an Average)

The Factory: Movement by PhireballMS
"The Factory: Movement" will have Sackboy exploring an abandoned, rickety, rusty factory and collecting those elusive little bubbles.

Gameplay: 8/10
The platforming in this level is pretty solid. While not exploring too many unique concepts, the floating debris was a nice little addition. However, the platforming was varied throughout the level and, whether it was swinging, jumping, or running, I was doing something different than before, which is always good.

Design: 8/10
The whole factory theme is highly prevalent through the level. There are fences, rusty metal, and rickety things to swing on. I enjoyed the colored lamps that hung on the ceiling and the electrified and colored bubbles. They added some colorful life into the rusty factory.

Audio: 9/10
One word that describes this factory: loud! And I'm sure glad that it was loud. I loved the pounding metal, the screeching sound effects, and every other hard and metallic object that was banging on something. It made me become more immersed within the level, and that's always a great thing to do.

Originality: 6/10
There are many excellent factory levels on LittleBigPlanet, and I personally don't think this level isn't original enough to stand separate from the rest. I don't know what kind of advice to give you except add something different and personal that embodies your own unique creativity. Maybe then your creation can be all on its own level.

Replay Value: 3/5
The yellow-lighted hidden areas are a nice way to add a little of replay value for players to reach one of the high scores. And the bubbles are set up in ways to tally up combos, so any challenge-seeker would love that. Other than that, there's not much going the level to replay it. Hidden sticker switches and a couple of prize bubbles might change that, however.

OVERALL SCORE: 8.0/10 (Not an Average)
PhireballMS has created a very solid, above average level that just can't seem to differ itself from the rest. Words like individual creativity and flair come to mind, and with them, a truly original factory level will be created.

Be willing to play almost all of the levels posted in the level showcase. This is a large time commitment!

Time is something I have recently acquired a lot of, and playing, reviewing, and posting about LittleBigPlanet only keeps me occupied!

Be competent in writing and word usage.

I believe eloquence in writing and word usage is a vital asset no matter what task you may be performing. As a sucker for appropriate sentence structure, I don't know what I could do without it.

Know a quality level when they see it.

A quality level is definitely something I feel is best expressed throughout my reviews and my personal ratings throughout LittleBigPlanet. I honestly think a great level is something you can't exactly explain immediately. You first realize it's amazing just through an instinct understanding, and then afterwards it becomes easy to define with words.

Be experienced in the world of LittleBigPlanet.

I've owned, played, and created in all LittleBigPlanet games, and I've even played and raced in a plethora of ModNation Racers levels.

Be able to work in a team-centered atmosphere.

I don't know what the Spotlight Crew would be like if you didn't have to work as a team!

Be comfortable working with an Excel-type spreadsheet.

I haven't had much experience with Excel, but I'm sure I can become comfortable with it if I practiced a bit.

Is not threatened by vBulletin code.

I've delved into a bit of HTML and managed a couple of websites a few years back. I think I would be able to find my way around vBulletin code if assigned the task.

Fun, friendly, and humorous.

Well I AM Taffey...

Be a generally helpful person around the forums.

Whenever I have a chance to It seems like mods take all the fun and helpfulness away before I get there.
