how do i make this?

Archive: 5 posts

i have a winch attached to , lets say a block.
the winch is connected with a sensor switch (inverted , and directional ) , so when i pass trough the trigger area, the block goes up.
the problem is that when i leave the trigger area, the block goes down . i dont know how to keep the block in the air, once i left the area.

thanks i hope you understand

You could use a permanent switch. There's a very similar example in this video from Media Molecule...

It's about two minutes in, but it's probably worth watching the whole thing.

I have an idea, but it takes some logic. And I'm pretty sure there is a simpler way, but it's the only way I could think of now:

- Attach a 3-way switch to a block of dark matter;
- Connect a wich to it, so it pushes the switch to one side;
- Pick your sensor switch, set it to direction and attach it to the winch of the 3-way switch;
- Attach 3-way switch to the other winch and set to direction;
- If done correctly: when the sensor is activated, it pushes the 3-way switch, which activates the main winch. But, if the sensor is deactivated, the 3-way switch will return to "neutral" and the winch won't come back.

EDIT: snipe, snipe...

You can also play the logic pack (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=18649-LBPCentral-Logic-Pack%21#post330956) (@LogicPack in game) to learn more about basic logic and advanced logic in LBP. You can also copy the level to use the switches.

If you think you've got the hang of that logic, try checking out Incinerator's newer, expanded logic showcase (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=31753-Logic-Workshop). There a great deal of the newest, most useful/practical switches that are optimised for thermometer efficiency!

Both levels are great if you want to start learning about logic or want to expand your knowledge of it!
Good Luck!
