There should totally be a trigger switch for graveity so u can walk on celings etc. | 2010-08-24 21:05:00 Author: Unknown User |
It would be awesome to have a Gravity Switch on which you can adjust the proximity ( just like the proximity switch, duh ). And all loose items in that radius ( including sackboy/sackgirl ) will be pulled towards the switch. Wishing is one thing though, and for some reason I think it would be alot of hassle to develop. Good thing wishing is free! | 2010-08-24 21:31:00 Author: jakpe Posts: 84 |
Thats going to be in LBP2. | 2010-08-24 22:15:00 Author: Eronninja13 Posts: 637 |
there is a antigravity thing on lbp2 | 2010-08-25 02:33:00 Author: HollieCat Posts: 197 |
The only thing ive seen from lbp2 is that can you can tweak the gravity, ie making the jump higher and the time before he starts falling longer. Ive seen nothing about a gravitational pull as anything other than a global switch. And yeah there's a microchip thingy to put on a object where you can tweak its gravity, but not the actual direction of the gravitational pull. I may very well be wrong though, just because I havnt seen it doesnt mean it's not in the game. =) | 2010-08-25 16:12:00 Author: jakpe Posts: 84 |
The only thing ive seen from lbp2 is that can you can tweak the gravity, ie making the jump higher and the time before he starts falling longer. It uses logic, which requires a switched attatched to it most likely. Either that, or perhaps a sackbot is at use there. Ive seen nothing about a gravitational pull as anything other than a global switch. This is not a 100% sure, but I recall them saying you plcae it on the object to alter the object's gravity, so it isn't "radius" controlled, but per object. (They've also shown a global setting for it too tho.) And yeah there's a microchip thingy to put on a object where you can tweak its gravity, but not the actual direction of the gravitational pull. Congrats, you just contradiccted your 1st point! And remember, its called gravity control m8, gravity doesn't pull diagonally or to the sides, it pulls down, you can weaken and negate it, which will make objects float/ go up / not be affected by it. I'm not saying its 100% sure it isn't possible to choose a gravitational point or at least chane what side gravity's pull will affect, but saying so is still mere speculation as we've only been confirmed to be able to reduce it, disingage it, and reverse it. (with barious in-betweens of course.) So wether its possible or not to choose a gravitational point is still unknown tho, still possible. I may very well be wrong though, just because I havnt seen it doesnt mean it's not in the game. =) Aye, exactly! Would anyone care to correct me if I'm wrong/ forgot/ missed something regarding this matter? I'd hate to be saying "its not confirmed" while it actually is. | 2010-08-25 18:23:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
Silverleon, thanks for the neat explaination. Just as not to get any missunderstanding, Im going to do some quoting. Jakpe Said. Good thing wishing is free! Eronninja13 Said. Thats going to be in LBP2. And Microchip thingy = the gadgets you can put on microchips. xD So you can basiclly change the gravitational pull. Either global or per object. You will not be able to change the direction of that pull however, as we know of. And gravity doesnt always pull down ( Down can be many different things. But when you say down, I think of down as in south, or down on the screen when playing LBP ) it pulls towards the location of an object ( no, i dont know all the scientific terms etc, I could go wiki it for ya if you'd like ) with the highest density and mass and yadayada And you wouldnt have had to reply at all really, since you pretty much corrected me on it being called a Gravity Switch and not a microchip thingy. And the rest was more like taking what I said and repeating it. I did say in my first point that you can tweak the gravitational pull, not the direction of it. ( From what we've seen so far ) I said in my third point that you also can tweak it object per object. Those two are not contradicing at all. However, I did misstype point two. It was easily missunderstood, as I ment I havnt seen gravity in any other type of switch than a Global one. And a microchip gadget thingy can hardly count as a switch, as its a thing you slap on a microchip and then either let it be or attach it to some kind of logic ( Example :Every 4 seconds the gravity is floaty for 4 seconds ) | 2010-08-25 19:43:00 Author: jakpe Posts: 84 |
