[1-2 Players/Medium Difficulty]
The first "real" level ive published. It is the first part of a 2-part story. Ive spent a few weeks making this, so i will accept critisism, as long as it is constructive .

The beginning of the level, as well as the entrance to the facility...

The first puzzle in the level! Huzzah!

We are getting deeper underground...

Oh no! It's the, um... well... the up-and-down-moving things!

This looks like a job for sackboy! Double-Huzzah!

I'm sorry that your threads have been ignored but bumping it won't do any good. :S I'm kinda busy now but I'll try to play it this week. Although try waiting more than a day for a response.2010-08-25 16:52:00

I gave it a go I noticed i'm only the second person to manage to complete it, It is tricky so i'll start on that. Is it possible to make the spring with the two keys high above a bit stronger? It took me a couple of minitues to bounce high enough i'm not sure if there's a technique to consistently bounce higher but it would help. The crack in the wall with the paint gun is very tricky to get in to I died at least 10 times on it maybe sneak something in the hole to grab on to?

That's the negative out the way I loved the rope climb to get in the facility it's not like you should be able to knock on the door so it's a nice touch. Having 3 different styles of scenery gave a good sense of progression the sewer looked particularly good with the rusted metal and murky green water. The overall puzzle work was fun and the music choice was spot on 5 :star: and a heart

Jay! Thanks very much! And sorry about the fact that you had trouble with the level. But, it is medium difficulty, and im pretty sure youd be pretty ****** if i made it hard.
The sequel will be up in a couple of weeks time (hopefully) and will involve much more story, be longer, and involve some nasty gameplay. Thanks for the heart!

EDIT: The technique to bounce higher is to press X in the very last moment possible, to give you a jump boost.

No worries with the difficulty I only mentioned it because of the low completion rate it takes a lot to make this sackboy give up looking forward to the sequel.2010-08-25 20:55:00

the issue i see here is not the difficulty...but more of how you placed things...in the beginning i instantly died from the rock...whether this is on purpose or not it was a little annoying...but i brushed it off...

also the materials you have to push without grabbing was very annoying too...since it doesnt add any challenge or anything it just consumes time as you have to run back and run into the object again to push it sometimes...which is pretty bothersome

and some objects you place are not friendly with the layers so you end up switching layers sometimes and unable to get down...this is that part where you use the paintanator to hit the paint switch and use the flip switch that makes the wood move outwards to open up another area...got stuck there for a minute trying some tricks to get down...got lucky

also the paintanator part was clever but the fact that you needed to keep being in the box for the other boxes to keep spawning was a little time consuming since then youd have to wait a bit for one to come and then the others to follow and if you died youd have to jump in again and wait again

and the final part that really made me not want to keep going was the part where you enter this REALLY nice detailed area...and you run to see this push cube and pass it to some mini stairs where i slid down and immediately got squished by a switch...which kept me sliding down and dying again and yeah

all in all i like how you do your visuals but you need to work on your placement...some objects kill your layer movement and the whole pushing boxes without grabbable material makes the level a bit of a chore imo

i hope you can make some improvements as id like to see this completed

i will take your advice and implement it in the sequel.

Hi, I played your level. It is cool, at least the things I managed to see (I got stuck a couple of times and then gave up). Here is some feedback:

Good:
- the puzzles are nice and original
- the visual is ok, sometimes lack of decoration (too much wood and few details)

Things you could improve:
- the rock in the beginning killed me without any oportunity. That can be annoying for many people
- I got stuck two times. First one in the first lift. I went in and then out, but in the middle it closed so I could not use it anymore and had to retry. The other is just in the place of your last picture. I didn't know what to do. You could give more tips...
- As I said, the visual aspect is sometimes too plain
- you could add a little bit of story, just to answer the question "why do you want to infiltrate there?"
- the design of the level seems heterogeneous. At the end it looks like the future (and I think it is very good), but in the beginning it is woody (and little bit worse in my opinion).

Could you try to give me some feedback in my level "The tanks factory 2"? Thanks in advance

I got done playing your level and heres my feedback

Positives:
+Puzzles were pretty good the way you did them..very original
+Unique elevator most people dont think to make the elevators like that

Negatives:
-1st puzzle room (on the second picture) you can just use the box to jump up and grab the switch you dont even need to push it into the corner for the tiles to rise up so maybe wanna try and shrink it just a tab maybe? (minor error)
-I was into the materials you used in the beginning with the wood as a building to infiltrate it kinda throws it off a bit with the wood material used.
-The second puzzle room I got the paintnator shot the thing and the bridge thing feel down and when I pulled the switch the wood went into the wall but afterwards im stuck not knowing where to go next? and I checked each floor but the boxes were still blocking each path maybe I missed something?

Overall the level was worth playing keep up the good work..looking forward to seeing your next level ::star::star::star:

Not a bad level you have here i found it quite entertaining.

Good:
The textures and detail was great nice choice of stickers and decoration.
The gameplay was okay and fun.
The rope part over spikes at the beginning was great.
I liked the industrial looking part better than the wood. It was made well and looked good.

Needs improving:
First time around i let go of the button in the lift and the door closed and i couldn't get back in so hat to reload.
Very hard. A lot of the chalenges were perhaps just that little bit too hard to complete as i found myself dying constantly. One good example is the third challenge with the gun in a hole over dark cloud this challenge was just over hard.

I think if it was a little easier people may finish it more but overall not an unpleasent experience.
I would like to see more of the industrial futuristic look in part 2 and hope that it will be a little easier.
