SacktasticttS - LBP2 Gravity ArenaJedi_1993
http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=22685This is my entry for the Sacktastic Prequel to the Sequel Contest. It is based on the Low Gravity Rocket Arena Level previewed for LBP2. 2-4 Player. Sknowman's timer used.
Finished my entry!
It is rather laggy due to the background (you'll see) but I think it helps with the zero gravity feel.
You will start with several thousand points each (aren't I generous!) and the objective is to lower your opponent's score by killing them.
To do this you shoot the floor they are standing on and it emits gas.
Published under my PSN: Jedi_1993
Hopefully people will enjoy playing it!
It is based off of this level:

I am currently working on reducing lag but this is for a contest to recreate something in LBP2 so I may republish the laggy version for the judging period. This is because it looks more like the level in the video and creates a slow-mo feel to the gravity. I am hoping to find a decent compromise though.

Pictures!

Update!
I have removed about 3/4 of the background lights and the lag issue is much much better. I have also altered the waiting room a little, added an additional light I can see in the video and made the dice thack so they can pass the checkpoints.

Very nicely put together n_n the only real issue i had was with the lag slowing the mist down a bit making it a matter of timing then aiming. but once you got used to it it was not that big of an issue. The dice are nice tho it still felt kinda empty maybe a couple more things to block the path and make it harder to dodge would be a nice addition.
overall it was a very solid arena with only a few minor issues one of which you seem to be putting the best effort into solving already. I'm not normally one for arena stuff but I gave you a 4/5 stars. <3

The only reason for the lag is the sacktracking background. I saw it in the video and though I could recreate it. At first, I had but the lag made it unplayable. So I used fewer lights, but you say there's still some? I'll experiment with different types of lights & see if that helps.
I am also going to add some small barriers at the sides of the pink platforms to lower the spawn-killing that occurred with my friends.
The dice appear to be the only objects in the video so I'm sticking with them, however I may make them larger. At the moment they are quite small.
I agree with 4 stars at the moment as there are several things to work on.

I'll let you guys know when it has been updated, though it may not be today as I'm busy (sorry).

Sorry to bump but:
I changed the background to use less lights and the lag is gone.
The dice are now a bit bigger.
Some more walls on the pink platforms have been added.

Nice pre-LBP2 level. It's exactly like the one from LBP2 as what I saw in E3 2010 and the dices looked cool. Even though I played this one solo just to see what this level's like, it'll be a lot more fun with a friend. I recommend this to co-op players. 4 stars.

Since you're a fan of my level series, I would like you to check out and F4F the newest chapter called "The Hero Chronicles LV7 Dragon Ruins"
