I actually asked them that in the interview questions I sent. We'll get an answer from Media Molecule soon enough. 2008-07-30 22:30:00

My guess would be no. At least, not right away. I could definitely see it as DLC, though.2008-07-30 23:32:00

I really think enough people will request it that it'll eventually happen. The whole different dimension it could add is huge.

seems like enough of the community wants it. I bet they probably will do it sometime soon after the release but not at it.2008-07-31 03:08:00

To be honest, I think they will include it at launch. Just a hunch though2008-07-31 08:52:00

Who knows? They'll definitely have a surprise up their sleeve once its' done but I assume they're more worried about getting everything in without bugs and such.2008-07-31 10:17:00

I think it seems a little unlikely for it to be in the game at launch, but maybe as DLC it would. I so wanna make an underwater level.2008-08-01 06:50:00

The the question is: is water a hazard or can sackboy swim?

That's a good question.
I'd personally like to see Sackboy swim, though.

Maybe some sort of "swim meter", though not that dumb-sounding. Almost all of Sackboy's materials would absorb water, so maybe you could swim for a certain period of time before absorbing too much water and sinking to the bottom, then drowning. That's the best I got.

that's such a cool idea i never thought about that you're right. The only thing is how do we know when he's absorbed enough and what about this. What if after you got out Sackboy was slower because of the water slowing him down which would then add to another element of the Hazard and help theory.2008-08-01 16:55:00

That could work. It makes sense since Sackboy is made of sackcloth filled with stuffing.2008-08-01 17:54:00

It depends whats inside the sack.. if its fluffy cotton he might just float

haha. No but i've said this a few times, there was an item description that said it floats so it looks like water is probably a hazard, and you will have to use buoyent objects to cross it. Maybe though, they could let you swim, but also have a current so you can make it that if you fall, you get swept back to the beggining or to something that would kill you.

lets just wait and see, huh?

They could of been reffering to the stuff that floats in the air though. Can't remember the name.

Well, if they answer that question we'll have it in our interview. Hopefully they confirm water.

I sent MM an email a few weeks ago, and still havent gotten a reply. Not even an automated one like yours (seems like).

Maybe they've forgotten about me I don't mind though, they're busy people!! I bet they could hire somebody to read and respond to all emails and he'd have a full time job

They'd need at least 5 people.
