The Wheel Deal ***Spotlighted!***

The Wheel DealFastbro
Return to the bedroom to celebrate your recent victory against the soldiers. The king of toys has thrown a party in your honour but out of nowhere disaster stikes... The king is taken away by a giant hand! Now you must travel to the dark side... Of the room to get him back!
Presenting my entry for the "Race For The Case" contest. This level was kinda frustrating to make, due to the thermo filling up super fast and the level hitting the right wall of the background half way through making the level. Meaning that I had to miss out the last vehicle I had planned. Though overall I think it came out pretty good, so I hope you enjoy playing it!

(Ps. I recommend you pay attention to all the writing around you )

Hi, Fastbro! Very nice level with Turbo series style! Nice characters (not very original, but pleasant), cool environments, nice stickers placements, interesting obstacles and mechanics. I have much fun on this level. Good work! I gave you 5 stars for it!2010-08-24 14:56:00

What? Your level is awesome! (Plus mine doesn't have any angry bears in it)

Thanks, after seeing poo do something similar in Destiny. I felt like doing it... (Shameless contest advertisement... (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=34006-I-Spy...-%28XP-Prizes!%29&p=590072#post590072))

Thanks Domik, glad you enjoyed it!

Hey Fastbro!
This is probably the best entry yet for this contest, which is quite annoying, as I have an entry which is almost finished.

I never knew you were entering! I bet your entry isn't is gonna be AwesomeX10.

Unfortunately, I loved the design of the level. It felt just like the turbo pack. I hated the way you made your catapult so well, it drove really well, and sadly was very good at handling the terrain.

I'm sorry my catapult upset you so much.

I was happy to find one thing I didn't like, which was the ending, it felt a little bit cut off, although I appreciate you had space difficulties.

I guess I took the easy way out, huh? It just shows how laz- I mean, bad the thermo was.

Overall, this is a very dissapointingly good level. Good luck in the contest (although not too much).

Good luck to you too!

Hey Fast B
I was the first to play this yesterday as I stumbled across it looking for another contest level entry. I'm happy to say I was the first who 5 starred it too. Great entry man, and I have my work cut out with all these awesome contest entries. My level is done, and I will publish in about a day, just so that there's not this influx of race levels, lol. But, yeah, back to you, the level was really charming and had the kids room vibe nailed solid. I don't own turbo pack, but I imagine this would fit right in. Everything was nicely modeled and fun to use including the sled. Good luck buddy, see you at the finish line!

Wow, right off the bat things look AMAZING. I'll be honest and say I was never a big fan of your visual style, but this level definitely changes that. The bed is designed flawlessly and the books were a great idea. (I just hope to see Blue Blitz Cereal, part of a balanced breakfast somewhere. :-P) The platforming is intuitive and feels very much like a story level.

The catapult is EPIC. Seriously, outside of salieri's AT-AT, it may be the coolest vehicle the PSP has ever seen. This entire area looks great. I launch myself up to the King's area. I'm glad to see you used your contest stickers in a non-spammy place, appreciated. Wow. The mom puts the bear away? That's just genius, seriously. Can't wait to see where this level goes!

*Hops on sled* *Sees Blue Blitz book* *Gets off sled, Sackboy dances*

Wow, that was a fun ride. LMAO @ Jack's dialog. Great platforming here, and love the Glockenpop track on the wall. Love the King too, very nice. Oh, look at that, left open for a sequel? :-)

Anyways, time to test out my new review system! :-D

Looks: 5/5
Everything looked amazing! Seriously, great job on the graphics. Especially the books. :-P
Platforming: 5/5
Really captured the story mode's feel here. Nothing too extravagant, and that made it perfect.
Story: 5/5
A simple plot packed to the brim with humor? Yes please!
Replay Value: 4/5
No epic chains here, but replay value is still high.

The Good: Amazing visuals, great platforming!
The Bad: A little more bubbles would have gone a long way.
The Ugly: Jack is stuck in a world with Glockenpop and Rocket Camels? Serves him right for leaving the PSP side! >:-D

Five stars and an inside joke-tastic heart!

After spending soooo much time trying to ace the pack I guess I know the feel. And you should really by the pack it is awesome and packed to the brim with resources.

Everything was nicely modeled and fun to use including the sled. Good luck buddy, see you at the finish line!

Thanks KK!

Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed the visuals and with the book idea I just wanted it to be a sorta tribute to this awesome community!

Hey Buddy!!

Another great level, maybe your best yet. This was very well done from start to finish, with a ton of fun things to do and great scenery to look at. You captured the turbo levels vibe perfectly, I actually think yours looked better in spots.

The level was laid out great. I like how you separated the different sections, and they all had a different feel and unique atmosphere. Your sticker work, as usual is marvelous. No sticker that you have ever used, in my opinion looks out of place. Your stories are always enjoyable, and I was laughing a lot during my playtroughs. Your characters always seem so real because your dialogue is so good. The gameplay was very good too, there were some nice bubble chains to go for, great platforming, and that catapult section was a blast.

The books were a great touch. When I saw you were listing levels, I thought...... I hope he has one of mine, and I was so happy to see Tera Cota on the shelf!! That was very cool of you. You made my day, as well as many others, I'm sure.

Anyway, this level was great!! Another heart. <3

Later my friend.....

Hidy Ho Fastbro!

I just got done with playing your awesome level and I wanted to leave some feedback.

First of all, I want to comment on how far you have come as a creator! This level looks and plays outstanding. It is top notch and I had a blast playing through it.

Your shout out system by placing level names and PSN's on books and blocks was genius. I was so excited to be walking a long a book named Destiny, and it was fun seeing other people's levels called out to! Great idea there!

The platforming in the level was solid, but what I want to comment on is the vehicle. I assume that the judges will take the vehicles very seriously considering that this is a Turbo! Pack inspired level, and of all the levels I have played (Kaiju's, Arklon's, and Sketch's so far), yours had the best vehicle by a long shot because it had multiple things that it could do, and you used those multiple things. I was very happy to see what you did with that, and if I was a judge (and I AM NOT for this one), that alone would have pushed you to the front of the pack :-) Great work with that.

The story that you had was a lot of fun to. It really meshed well with the look and style of the level.

Awesome work Fastbro! Keep it up and good luck with the competition :-) You have my vote for sure!

I played this level the other day, and I loved it! The gameplay was good, but didn't sacrafice for visuals. From what I've played so far, this is one of my favourite Turbo! Pack spin offs because the visuals were solid but you got some innovative things pushed in.

The contest was clever, and the hidden names and levels were cool. The story was simple, but gave some structure to the level.

Loved the catapult, it worked a dream for me and was used well.

The Wheel Deal

First thought just by title name: An all out racing level?

Character(s):
Jack, of course! - Yay, Jack got mentioned...sort of! Nice work on him. But why did he have to invent rocket camels!?
Bear King - Simple, but the crown is effective.

Visuals:We're in the ever so messy bedroom. With a box of some "Taffey Tarts", awesome books, and blocks that spell out "Jeffcu"? Nice job on the bedroom section!
Then we head into the castle with a familiar face on a photo. We head over to the buffet! Full with Alis Muffins and Famous Custards!
Now we head to the Dark Side......of the bedroom!
Overall, the visuals were great and full of excellent and witty?, stickerwork!

Story?:
Oh darn! We're locked out of the castle! But when we get in the King has been kidnapped and held hostage in a tree? I liked it though!, funny and random.

Originality: Since this is an entry for the "Race for the Case" competition, I won't count this section on anyone. For my own reasons ^^

Gameplay:
Sled Race - A short yet fun race, over...chocolate! At least you implemented in a race, right?

Overall Fun Factor:
10/10 - F-U-N!

Overall Score:

:star::star::star::star::star: and a <3

Congrats on the Spotlight!!

Hehe, but really, congratulations on the Spotlight! This level is fantastically brilliant in gameplay, invention, humor, and visuals. It really has the whole package. Great stuff all around.

hi there fastbro!!!!

i just played your awsome level like 5 minutes ago, and i thoke i REALLY, REALLY needed to post feedback, becouse it was... AWSOME!
i never bought the turbo pack so i dont exactly know if you copied a lot, but if you did then i must start saving money for it, and if you didnt then you have a mind full of ideas that deserve to be spotlighted.

the best thing about this level was the fact that it was full of stuff related to LBPC and i laughted very hard with the "im jack, of course" joke!
the only thing "not very good" i have to say is that the level cant be aced... this is a problem to me becouse i love to ace levels, and although it was all very good i died in that black pool... i know it isnt much, but you could do a bridge or something at the end, i dont know, use your awsome ideas and think of something cool...

Overall i gave :star::star::star::star::star: and <3' ed
and... could you play one of my levels? (play fade to black (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=31648-fade-to-black), it got almost no plays and that makes me sad )

Hey Fastbro! C9ngrats on the spotlight!

I'm very sorry I forgot all about your feedback. I didn't forget about your level; infact, I played it the first day it came out. It's just my stupid o' self forget to give you feedback. I always give you feedback. I want to at least. You are one of my favorite creators on creating and just you're humorous outside of the psp. I'm sorry once again, and hopefully I don't come across a situation like that to anyone. Anyways, hopefully you enjoy what I have to say to you. Last but not least, Thanks for the references of my levels Solid and Flat Down Journey. Thanks.

I like the room of the level. It feels 3D someehat. What makes it very cool is that there is references to many awesome levels and creators while sticking to the theme of a room. I enjoyed the references Solid and Flat Down Journey. It's funny how you have Journey Overworld too, yet I still haven't published it. I wonder what your fans outside of LBPC will think. They'll think, "What?! Journey Overworld?! I can't find it thought!!" LOL. Thanks again. XP

Your sticker work was awesome. The catapult was very indeed cool and it's not wooden, so it's pretty different. Your obstacles were quite fun and I liked the note with "Teh Hoarda". Lol, another reference. So many infact. The kings room was decent with more references by food names, LOL. The seacond race was pretty straight forward. I went back bust to read the references too. As for Jackofcoarse.... YUCK!! Is that how you really think of him? Kidding. XD Though, he did give me the chills, but the stickerwork is funny and cool.

The obstacles were pretty easy to overcome. You used some 3D objects around the level which added more to the feel. The ending was pretty plain. The bear is saved and now a story. I've never came in with contact on any error, glitch, or bug. Bubble collwcting was fun. This level is awesome. Period. With that said, I'll move on with your rating, Fastbro.

Length: 5/5 (This lasted very long and was a fun playthrough.)
Material Usage: 5/5 (Reminded me of Turbo! Yet, with a different story.)
Sticker Work: 5/5 (Your stickering is my main reason I like your levels.)
Corner Editing: 5/5 (Not really much to say here. You're decent.)
Terrain/Mechanics: 5/5 (Your obstacles were fun and basic.)
Story: N/A (Not really a story; aside, it was fun)

Total: 25/25 Perfect Score!!

Your references amused me and sticker work was cool.
Therefore, I gave you 5 stars :star::star::star::star::star: and a heart. <3

Your welcome with for the feedback,
-Spark
