A MediEvil pack!

Archive: 31 posts

I came up with some ideas for a MediEvil level pack, just like Turbo. Here are some ideas, along with a visual aid. Here is the big list;
http://i36.tinypic.com/117v5aq.jpg

1. MediEvil costumes
At the very least Cambridge should do this. Cambridge developed MediEvil; they own the rights to it. MediEvil was a very loved game and adding a costume pack would be very nostalgic.

2. Stickers
Stickers based around MediEvil wouldn't hurt either, like the MediEvil logo and other things.

3. Music
LBP would be extremely epic with some of the music from MediEvil. Here are some tracks I would like to hear in LBP as well. If you've never heard them, they're relatively easy to find on YouTube.
Dan's Crypt
Return to the Graveyard
Pumpkin Gorge
Hilltop Mausoleum
Asylum Grounds
Scarecrow Fields
The Haunted Ruins
The Graveyard
Zarok's Lair
The Museum
Kensington
The Freakshow
Kew Gardens
Iron Slugger
Whitechapel
The Sewers

Background(s)
A new background (prefarably night) would be great if they made a level pack. Perhaps more than one? Besides, we need a night background; we'll take what we can get.

Sword Powerup
If you look inside of the Character Enchancements section in your Tools Bag, you'll find that there is only one; the Jetpack. So why call it Character Enchancements? That's where this great idea comes in.

The Sword will work like the Paintinator, but a melee weapon instead of a firearm. This includes "Sword Switches", which takes a certain amount of hits before something happens. This could make for incredible bossfights, and also will take Creature Brains to the next level. Perhaps the sword could be customizable as to what it looks like, how far it swings, etc...
And if it could be fit in, how about a bow and arrow kind of thing? Just a kinda crossbow thing. I don't think that would be hard, making it simply shoot straight forward and have switches like the Paintinator and Sword.

Any thoughts?

A medievil would be a brilliant idea, Medievil is a great franchise.
But just because they own the rights doesn't mean it will happen.

After all by that logic we will see a play TV pack

Good idea though.

Cambridge wasn't credited on the PS1 game. But it was confirmed that they made it.

Let's hope AceCreator reads this! After all, they ARE working on DLC now!

I shouldn't be double-posting (Oh my Mod, he double posted) but I felt the need to properly update, and perhaps get this thread some attention.

I started a petition if anyone is interested. Also, be sure to tell your friends about this, and make sure to tell them to tell their friends! We need to get this as big as possible, if we want this pack at all.

Why do they call the jetpack a character enhancement if it's the onl one? I think they should make this. It would be EPIC.2010-08-27 00:09:00

Small update: thanks to good old Sketch, AceCreator has seen this thread and said it was a good idea. I feel a possibility of a MediEvil pack!2010-09-08 05:50:00

Wow this sounds truly epic. And for once it's something easily manageable and REALLY likely. And with the night backround we get our basic lighting so kill two birds with one apricot stone .2010-09-08 06:09:00

I agree. This thread has rightfully earned the title EPIC WIN. I just hope that they release more than just stickers and costume items.2010-09-29 21:26:00

all those ideas are great, but there is one thing i dont get: the sword thing...
i dont see how could we use the sword in LBP, since (as far as im concerned) sackboy is pacifist and doenst like to fight
but on the other hand, the idea of sword-switches is awsome, and it whould be usefull to kill creatures too, the only problem is that people whouldnt want to click in the "o" button to get off the sword enchancement... (unless it works like the jetpack, and only works in a certain range of the source, i dont know, think of something )

It is great idea! I played Medievil on PSP and I was excited by this humorous game (it is really fun).

the only problem is that people whouldnt want to click in the "o" button to get off the sword enchancement... (unless it works like the jetpack, and only works in a certain range of the source, i dont know, think of something )

There are things in PS3 (I don't know how they are called) that put away any enhancements that are on the character. In this way character with a tetherless jetpack flies through this thing and jetpack disappears.

PS. Are there anybody who completed Medievil on PSP? If Zarok will be such difficult to defeat in LBP as in original game... we will spend much time to do it

Yeah that's true.
Another way to remove tetherless enhancement - glue jetpack with minimum tether (20) into the passage. Sackboy will drop sword, and while he will not be able to fly a big distance (only 20 units) he will drop jetpack soon. But I prefer PS3 solving of this problem.
PS. Why minimum distance for jetpack is only 20? It is big (If it could be 0, we could have tetherless jetpack that could be thrown away easily).

How about the triangle button? Just use it to swing the sword. And then if they ever release the Paintinator for the PSP, you can use the L button and the analog stick to aim the gun and the R button to fire! Then you can dual-wield the two and use the sword as a melee attack!

Ooh, I just got chills!

Really, as I remember, "triangle" button isn't used in game mode... nice idea! If AceCreator would see that (though they are busy with Turbo bug)...2010-10-04 15:19:00

Yes, some Turbo materials can cause a non-stop loading bug. We didn't find out all causes of the problem and (!) AceCreator told me that Cambridge isn't working on further update (I didn't ask about Level Pack), but if we discover all bug-caused things and Cambridge will be able to fix them, then they will work on update that will contain fixing of these problems.2010-10-04 15:44:00

Oh snicklin, please don't joke on such a topic! Some people may be disappointed and become very-very angry... Something like that: .
On topic: I asked AceCreator about next Level Pack and now waiting for his response. So let's be patient and wait.

PS3 has 3 level packs and PSP has 1. Besides, the company that works on the PSP version of LBP is different than the PS3 version.

LBP PSP = SCEE Cambridge

LBP PS3 = MediaMolocule

I have a greater respect for Cambridge because look at what they've done with such a small system.

But what if MM did it? Would you think it would be any better?

I personally think so. I can't be sure because they've never made a game for the PSP.

You know, PSP's graphics are waay better than PS1's... so you could put here walkthrough from Medievil on PSP...
PS. I spent much time beating these hellish mechanisms at the end of a level...
