I'm afraid I don't understand what you're asking. Could you reiterate it please? If you're asking if you can take a MM object, and change properties about it, I do not believe that you can.

I think he's asking if you move an MM object so that part of it is in a theck layer and part is in a thack layer, so it's between two thick layers. I'm not entirely certain about all objects but I know for a fact you can move the MGS lazer object into the theck layers just by using R2/L2 and X (They actually seem to stop where ever you press X and are not just limited to theck, thack and thock even, though someone would have to check this) so I would assume you can move MM objects into the theck and thack layers. Can you post the results once you've tested it? I'm interested if all objects can do it or if it's just some.

No, some MM objects are thin and I want to know if its possible to move them into the theck layer. Can you post the results once you've tested it? I'm interested if all objects can do it or if it's just some I can't move anything into the theck layer, I've tried but I just can't get it to work. You'll have to test it yourself or get someone else to.

You can "layer pop" them into the theck layer, but they won't be stable. As soon as you select them, they'll pop back to one of the thin layers. Layer popping is where you click L3 to copy an object, then click L1 or L2 to move it to a diff layer and almost immediately click X to place it (so you're clicking X before it actually finished the layer transition). If it's done right, your object will be in between thin layers (usually if you've moving back a layer, it'll end up in the theck layer and if you're moving forward, it'll end up in the thock layer). Once it's there, you can push it around with other objects/materials, or add bolts/switches decorations, but as soon as you use your popit to select it (including grabbing a bolt or switch), it'll pop back. If you can accomplish whatever you're trying to do without needing to touch the object again once it's in the theck layer, then you can get it to work. If you're going to need to glue it to something or any other adjustments where you need to select it, then it's impossible.... as far as we know.

I think you mean the "second thin layer", It is possible but you have to take a picture of the Mm item and then place it on and make a cutout of it

I can't layer pop anything into the theck layer, it never works. I tried all the Mm thin layer objects and I was able to pop every one of them into the theck layer. As I suspected, though, none of them were stable--they would all pop back if I selected them. The timing is tricky when you're layer popping, though if you can make theck/thack materials you should be able to layer pop (the timing is about the same). Just click L2 and X at almost the same time and you should be able to get it within a few tries. Most of them I was able to get in one try, but a few wound up between the theck and thack layers or maybe in the thack layer and they'd fall right through the ground. Still, I was able to get them all in 1-2 tries. It's a little off topic, but there are some Mm objects that do wierd things when you layer pop them. Pretty much anything bendy will give you wierd results (see my thread here (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=25258-Sourceless-lights-invisible-spikes-and-a-couple-other-tricks-UPDATED-4-29)).

Thanks for the answer Sehven, another 'thanks'. I'll try it again. Edit: I got it to work now, thanks again.
